The program gives money to officers through "donations" and "partners with local builders to construct and sell new homes to officers". Give it time and this program will be exposed for the shadiness it is.

This is what we need. You should not be taking taxpayer dollars to other communities. Those same dollars get recycled in that community and help in numerous ways. It also allows officers to build a closer relationship with the community.

Well that's another problem with police departments. Most officers aren't from the city or community they work in. They don't know anybody from the community on personal level they jus goin off information from the department. Almost all high-risk areas in every city or county none of those officers are from there so they escalate small minor situation and very hostile to the locals 😕

A police officer and firefighter's starting pay is more than enough to pay for the property taxes on a $500,000 home.
