The Entire Granolah Arc | Dragon Ball Super Manga (Remake)
Following the events of The Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga (Also known as "The Moro Arc"), Goku and Vegeta continue their training on Beerus' Planet, Goku now able to tap into Perfected Ultra Instinct at will, while Vegeta aims to prove his superiority by surpassing his rival another way. Vegeta's informed by Beerus that the Gods of Destruction know of a technique that could rival that of the Angels, and when questioned on how to tap into such power, Vegeta falls under the destroyers tutelage. Elsewhere in the Universe, a Bounty Hunter named "Granolah", revealed to be the last surviving member of a race called the "Cerealians", harbors a deep desire for revenge against the Saiyan race and Frieza force for wiping out his people over forty years ago. He, along with a band of no-good brokers known as "The Heeters" had often worked together, but with the sudden revival of Frieza coupled with Granolah's vendetta, they refused to help him take the tyrant down, and focused their efforts on gathering enough intelligence to one day overthrow Frieza. Anxious to obtain enough power to destroy Frieza himself, Granolah resorts to misusing the Dragon Balls on his home planet to become the strongest warrior in Universe 7. Now convinced to step in due to his new power, the Heeters, with their intel on the Saiyans Goku and Vegeta thanks to Zuno, inform Granolah of their presence, resulting in an all out bout between the three warriors. However, Granolah isn't the only one our heroes need to be wary of, as the Heeters intend to dominate the Universe in their own way; the title of the strongest warrior in the Universe gradually being thrown to different beings.

Something I like about this arc is that it stresses that power that is unearned, is not reliable.

I also noticed this entire arc was about Natural power vs Artificial power Earned vs unearned and Goku and vegeta kept up eveytime till the very end where frieza came in and how they kept is is the basic saiyan biology on full display vegeta brought senzu beans for a reason eveytime goku and vegeta healed they got a zenkai boost even when the senzu beans ran out they got another zenkai boost from getting healed by the old namkeian guy effectively showing us on full display the constant power creeps on a saiyan if they can heal which was able to keep up with a being who got stronger from a curse I just found it very brilliant thebwhole premise of the arc and how it played out with gas on his last leg and goku and vegeta back up yet again 😂😂then frieza crashes the party

This is the Arc where Goku finally learns what Saiyan pride means. Of course, he always heard Vegeta talk about it, but hs never understood it until he heard his parent's voices.
This is also the arc where true ultra instinct came out, which was idiotic in concept
Dude the namek arc is literally about him learning, accepting and embracing his saiyan heritage which part of that being pride. don’t have to lie to make super look better then what it is😭😭.

I honestly think gas’s story is the most dark we’ve seen in super. Gas was a little kid for his race at the start of the arc and over the course of a few hours this kid burned through his entire life for the sake of his big brother. And In the end?when gas is literally falling apart elec is just mad and belittling him over the fact he hasn’t killed goku and Vegeta, the world weary look on gas’s face as he realises the monster he’s become only to be killed shorty after. Heart wrenching stuff man….

No. gas and granola are only a couple years older than Goku since they were kids when goku was a baby. Possibly 3-5 years older than bulma. goku is 14 and bulma is 16 when they first meet in Dragonball proper. goku is a baby in a utero tank when Bardock fights gas. Bardock is killed by freeza as a young 20 something father on planet vegeta.

I know I commented alot in the past 10 minutes, sorry btw, but I got to say the past two arcs were written really good for Goku’s and Vegeta’s character arcs in my opinion. The manga is actually like very coherent in its themes.

Despite all the insane powerscaling in this arc, the main lesson feels true to the nature of the franchise:
All the power in the universe is worthless if you don’t know what you’re fighting for.
this arc had balanced power scaling. People complained about the wishes, when that was the exact message the arc was tryna teach. Even with all that power, granolah and gas couldn’t use it without proper experience, training, or a real purpose to fight.
Frieza of all people showing up in the end after 10 years of training just proves it.
This was a fantastic remake. It's not that you left out a bunch of details before. The first video was great, but you've gotten a lot better since then. More fine tuning. Thank you Justin.

I liked the implementation of new fighting styles. The sniper style of Granola and the wepon conjuring style of Gas. I would hope they utilize a wepon master fighting style when it's animated. Good job. I was entertained all the way through

As for the arc it was enjoyable for sure with some really cool scenes and drawings here and there. However it suffered from frustrating plot holes, some poor dialogues and biased power-ups (the Bardoc's 5 min. story made Goku and Vegeta somehow advance their forms with no training and go from below Granolah to above Gas). Overall I would give it 6.5/10!

While I was hip to many plot points from this, tonight was my first time getting to experience the story properly. And honestly, this saga was pretty cool. Pretty self contained story. Even if they dont adapt this arc into anime, I hope to see Ultra Ego added into the larger story one day.

something i can appreciate is the fact that goku remembers bardock and gine, it really makes you think if they'll ever meet at some point thanks to whis or some kind of otherworldly event happening

Ok this is the 1st time I've seen this story arc as I've only read up to Moro's defeat, I've been waiting for the paper back to finish the arc witch I believe it has, my next volume has trunks an goten on the cover, so assume again there skipping Broly witch is fair, think like 30 minutes of dialogue and a hour of next to none stop fighting assuming it fits in-between super season 1 and Moro. What I'm really enjoying about DBS is that the story arc's bleed into each other, besides G black..... But the gods to golden frieza to galactic patrolman to Moro to space robot guy to Granola to heaters to "finish" at black frieza. Tbh getting bored of frieza pallet swapping white to gold to black, was hoping for new form like coolers 5th. Great video 😊

I’m confused as to why Granolah and Gass have instant teleportation, but the gods don’t even have that ability. Maybe the powers granted are based on the strongest mortals in the universe right now. And Goku is probably one of them. So, they should have that power to be stronger than him. But still, weird stuff.
