If you watch it again, you'll notice they're fighting the giggles in a lot of places. To truly appreciate the emotions they convey and the pictures they create in the choreography, you should watch the regular version or a live performance. This is one of their more moving and sentimental choreos when they aren't being silly. That being said, I'm glad you found this anyway. A lot of people see the MV and stop there. Also, It's important to realize, that the song was written first, and the MV came after; the song was not WRITTEN for the MV. The song and choreo and the MV tell different stories.

Actually, this is a very sad song. This song symbolizes and commemorates the victims and survivors of the tragedy. In this song, Jimin and Jin represent the victims and the rest of the members represent the survivors. At the beginning of the choreography, Jimin reaches out to the survivors, but they are soon swept away by the waves. In the middle, when Taehyung feels guilty as a survivor and wanders off, the victim, Jin, comes out of the boat to comfort him. Finally, Jimin, who was swept away by the waves, meets and hugs the same victim, Jin. Not only this, but you can see that the choreography of Spring Day is deeply connected to the lyrics.
You should watch the original dance practice, this is the "lovely" version. They'll do random "versions" of their dance practice just for more fun, which is why they aren't as serious as they are in their original dance practice version. So good, but it doesn't necessarily highlight their choreo as well. 👍🏻

The live version of this is beautiful, MMA 2017. This dance practice is for that performance I think.. This practice is just them goofing around , as they do frequently in dance practices, and the uplifting parts aren't part of the real choreo. One of funniest is Just One Day where RM overacts and V can't stop laughing, also all of the Halloween dance practices. I like your interpretation better and I hope they did think that a bit.
