    WD40 is a degreaser not a lubricant

    Why did you tighten it? Does that help it slide up easier? I recently moved into an apartment where 4 out of 5 windows are stuck and hard to slide up, making the noise your windows did. Maintenance doesn't want to mess with them. I'm going to fix them myself now. Thanks. 😊

      @@GetToThePointplz123 i was told do NOT use wd40 cuz of the oil. Use white lithium grease, or wax paper. Not parchment

      Lithium grease - NO. It's not advisable to use them on plastic parts. As lithium is based on petroleum, it tends to speed up rubber and plastic components decay. Silicone grease, on the other hand, works better in low temperature, low stress applications around plastics and rubber.
      Common examples around the house for using lithium grease might be for garage door openers and hinges.
      Whereas applications for silicone grease might be sliding doors and windows, seals around waterproof flashlights and plumbing fixtures.

      @@ArmyBryan_63 how do you use wax paper? And why is oil bad?

    • @ArmyBryan_63
      @ArmyBryan_63 Год назад +1

      @@edratman idk. Used the grease on the spiral thing after cleaning them off. Works great. And the paper is used instead of paper towel or whatever else. I didnt just another vid did.
