Really, I'm not sure how I can easily prove to you that I played Final Fantasy 14 solo without using the marketboard or roulettes or parties or retainers outside of uploading the 100 hours of ff14 footage I have, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one insane enough to care anyway. I mean I showed almost every ff14 craft and gather I did.
Can you play FFXIV solo? Singleplayer FFXIV even? I don't even know what to call this. I mean it's definitely not ff14 money making. I might be an Ultimate Legend UWU rdm pov, but I'm not sure how that's relevant. Maybe this is a FFXIV solo guide? Final Fantasy 14 Warrior solo? Maybe one day I'll do a Eureka Orthos solo run like a normal person.

Seeing everyone in Vesper Bay at the end made tears come to my eyes too. This was awesome.

It was a solo experience but in the end it wasn't a lonely experience :)
This has by far been the coolest and most awe inspiring series I've ever seen. I can't wait to see how Heavensward goes. I have a feeling Dark Knight might make an appearance, considering Blackest Night is so dang good.
Is he even gonna get there? Crystal Tower being a requirement looks pretty bad.
@@Tommyvang187 he's said on stream that he has a plan for crystal tower that's borrowed from runescape iron man if i'm not mistaken. something along the lines of grouping up with other solo players in order to make it possible.

@@Tommyvang187 Huh since when is CT a req for Heavensward? Last I played it wasn't even a req for Shadowbringers and you had different cutscenes depending on if you did CT or not
@@Grimnoire highest requirement is the pads in Labyrinth which requires 5 people in each party so 15 players which is still a lot but not quite 24

I didn't know the king could do that, tried it myself and he absolutely deleted me even with over 50k hp

Physically jumped out of my chair when you brought Ultima down, this episode gave me chills. Love what you've done so far and wish you all the best for what's the come next
this has to be THE best gameplay series i've seen in recent memory, if not ever. It's always a delight to see the ways you overcome challenges and basically play ARR "as intended" with all the crafting and such, "back in my day we didn't have all the modern QoL additions!" -- as usual, can't wait to see more and will follow the streams, too; so much fun times!
FF Challenge 14 is such a good content type. Love these

Such good editing and narrating! I love the series so far, and while I normally multi task during RUclips videos, I put everything aside for the final fight. Love hearing about all the different aspects: food, crafting, maxing substats, weird boss strats, potion use, etc.
What a journey it has been so far, looking forward for the patches! Thanks for making such a quality content and also fun series to watch, it has been super entertaining.
This has been a joy to watch, I was planning to replay MSQ on 7.0 as blue mage, I would also add some restrictions to make the class feel less "overpowered" and hopefully give a feeling of a legit, non limited job when going through the content. I was planning to be recording this progress and turn into a series since I never covered anything SQEX Related in my channel, despite having about 3 or 4 usernames that were related to Square Enix franchises. Anyway, point is that your series has rekindled the flame to pursuit this challange when the time comes. After all, your solo challange was taken to a whole new level and so far with all the hurdles you made it possible. My idea should be more simpler and way less ambitious than your solo run but it should be fun either way.
Always good to see new, inventive ways to play games in a way they're most likely not supposed to.
This has been an incredibly entertaining series to watch through and its crazy how deep into the weeds you need to go into the game's systems to pull off half of what you've managed to accomplish. You have an insane level of determination and congratulations on managing to clear 2.0 solo only! I'm eagerly awaiting to see where you go from here, it's been a helluva ride.

Man- I'm in tears. You are an absolute legend both in concept, execution, and best of all- Story telling. I adore moments of human triumph, and the ending with everyone really had me in tears. Truly, you sir are an amazing content creator, and I am happy to have been able to see this journey from the beginning. Unfortunately not on Twitch due to time constraints, but still- An amazing journey nonetheless. Keep up the amazing work.

I've recently been watching this series and it's honestly inspired me to finally unlock and start levelling all my crafters. They're all in the 15 range now, and I'm gonna try to craft myself the level 20 armor, so I can then do Firmament Collectables, and from there I already have level 30 and 50 armor from previous endeavors into crafting (bsm and gsm respectively). Props to you for having gone this far, plus wherever Solo Only is at now.
This episode was well worth the wait since I saw the notification about it a couple days ago. Such a good series and can’t wait to see it through to the end. First RUclips series that made me tear up at the end from all the inspiration 🥲

Appeared in my RUclips recommends, thought this was covering the whole playthrough. Didn't realize it was a series! I'm gonna need to go back and watch from the beginning, because seeing all the prep you had to do just to clear Castreum was fascinating.

Wish I'd been able to be up for the stream, but this recap was fantastic to watch! All of my props for you.
In my own personal experience, Wanderer's Palace is horrifically unbalanced when you're solo. I went in as a 80+ paladin and I was using gear from Aurum as part of a 'dungeon gear only' challange. Wanderer's Palace killed that challenge run because he just hits so freaking hard. I didn't have the willpower to keep grinding the first two bosses for armor drops so I could go to an easier 50 dungeon for higher ilevel to come back to fight him.
Yeah. Yeah. Wanderer's hurts. Oh it hurts. I've soloed it as Scholar before but I think that was at level 80 in...VERY good gear and no limitations at all.
Congratu-fuckin-lations, brother. A battle hard fought and a victory damn well deserved. The journey thus far has been amazing to watch, and while I haven't been able to catch any of the streams, know that my spirit rides with you and all your supporters always. Rest well, Warrior of Lonely Light. You've earned it.
...Posturing aside, that scene at the end when you left the waking sands - seeing everyone saluting you atop their Magitek Armors moved me to tears, and just reminds me how excellent this community can be when they really feel like it. I look forward to Solo's adventures onward through post-ARR and into Heavensward. Godsspeed.

Man I'm not normally one to comment but I just have to say that I'm in LOVE with this series! Your editing in general is fantastic, but the choice to sync up the Ultima theme with your final pull was PERFECT - I genuinely let out a cheer when you pulled him in time with the beat dropping. I see that the next video in the playlist is titled "I ruined my ff14 challenge" which is a bit ominous, but regardless of how that goes, I've really enjoyed watching your journey and I look forward to whatever you do next! Congrats! The series so far has really been a ride! The highs and lows and your creativity in solving the walls has been amazing!
I'm just very worried that the difficulty spike upwards past base ARR is gonna be a big wall, since 8 man trials being tuned for DPS checks with add phases that kill you if you don't meet it is a big problem to solve.
I remember watching the Ultima attempts at work and almost screamed out loud that night. Luckily no one else was in the office anyway. But I am so excited to see more. Love catching the streams but these videos are great too.

I've decided to do my own similar challenge, though I doubt I'll take it to the same extremes, as a new way to play my favorite game, and I hope you continue your own endeavors as well.
I started to play FF14 a little before you took up this gigantic task. Even though I haven't had the time to play this whole summer I've always loved to see your videos and progress. I once quickly lurked on stream but as I said, haven't had the free time.

I like this video format very much and the challenge is entertaining content and a fresh idea given that this is far away from the usual theme park MMO experience. It makes me curious how far you can push solo...I imagine there would be some mechanics in upcoming fights that could prove impossible as a solo player, but so far you've always proved me wrong. I'm definately hope you will continue the challenge for post-MSQ and maybe even into 3.0 and beyond. :P

really untapped market here. love this series after watching swampletics for so long, before stopping cause my focus went to FF. now i got my own swampletics in FF! fantastic.
at some point, you should see how far you can go without job crystals solo. or maybe do tileman, but for FF? could you imagine needing a level per zone you enter?
