  • Exhale Fan - World's First Truly Bladeless Ceiling Fan.
    For over 100 years, ceiling fan manufacturers have yet to innovate when it comes to the blades on their fans. Although they continue to create interesting design with their products, there have been no real changes in the way they move air.
    The Exhale™ Fan breaks convention. Inspiration from the 19th century inventor, Nikola Tesla led our innovation. Our bladeless fan utilizes the science of laminar flow. This translates into an uninterrupted 360° airflow, generating less noise and bringing pure comfort to any room. The gentle vortex that is created transforms your space, just like a spring breeze.
    Our company is introducing the Exhale™ fan to the market to meet the need of additional comfort as well as appeal to the sophisticated designer in all of us.

    In India conditions where regular fan blades get dirty in couple of weeks and require cleaning , I have following questions.
    1. How to clean this fan
    2. As per the air circulation shown in video , will it not do accumulation of dirt on ceiling which in my view will be a very difficult task to keep clean

    I think its amazing what people come up with by applying the concepts that the great minds of our past developed. By the way... just looked at their website, it had this little diddy, "Studying the science surrounding Nikola Tesla's bladeless turbines led me to a breakthrough that I knew was the perfect solution to the problem that was plaguing my thoughts." I guess Tesla does get his credit, which is a rarity.

    While bladed fans produce a turbulent airflow and rely on brute force to mix the air. The Exhale fan has a smooth uniform rotating airflow that creates a gentle vortex to evenly homogenize and stabilize the air.

    Although it doesn't look like a bladed ceiling fan it does still have blades, they're just circular discs. The type of blade is unique and less noisy but the basic mechanics are the same as a conventional fan, that is spinning something to move air, so I cannot see how the $500+ price is justified... plus there's no option for a light.

    • @AutoUnder

    • @Clankillas
      @Clankillas 5 лет назад

      Brad K nothing of this fan moves outside of its case. You talk about blades when the idea is how it moves the air differently than other fans which only forced to around the room making you think that you’re being called. The reason they say that the van has no blades is because of fans other than this tape come with blades which only push air around. This fanUses a technique which draws the air into it and then it moves the van along the ceiling down towards the walls which actually calls the fan runs a lot better than typical Fans which only give you the illusion of coolness by forcing air around you.

      Micim987 Original The reason the price is so expensive is to compensate for the research and development put into it to produce these fans. It’s funny how ignorant people like you always think that someone who invents or Designs something can just drop the price as if the price has nothing to do with them recouping their investments. That’s how dumb people think and they are also the ones to think that money grows on trees. Stick to your old regular ass fans and leave these people alone because it’s not for people like you to have something as advanced as this idea is.

    Can it be use in the winter by moving air the opposite way?

    • @kthwkr
      @kthwkr 7 лет назад +1

      NO. The discs are slinging air out with centrifugal force.
      If you put a ball on a string and spin it around the ball stretches the string no matter which way you spin it.
      i would like to see a tower fan made to mount horizontally on the ceiling.
      In other words take a regular tower fan. Tip it over 90 degrees to lay on the floor.
      Now lift it up to the ceiling and mount it.
      It would probably take some slight redesign of the tower fan. Though not much.
      It could be about 3 to 5 feet long. It would pump a great deal of air down. Tower fans are very efficient and quiet.
      And the big advantage is if you inadvertently stuck your hand up in the air it wouldn't get chopped off like with a conventional ceiling fan. So it would be safe for low ceilings.
      Imagine a 2 foot square box about 4 inches deep. And it contains perhaps four tower fans. And of course around the edges of the box, LED lighting. It could put out a lot of air. And it would be safe in a kids room. It would be cheap.

      Skip Stein don’t waste your time on people like this. He’s a fucking idiot looking for a reason to show negativity on things. His profile is only designed for trolling, as he has no content which is why people start YT accounts, to show videos. This is what trolls do, they start an account on a social media only to bash people and attack them to bring attention to themselves. When this idea was being conceived @Nik had already made the development for the attachment of the LED light. He just had to sell his remaining stock of the idea because he wanted to do other things and now that he is no longer a part of Exhale Fans, they have been dragging their asses like molasses. I bought a nice purple one when @Nik was running things and was happy as hell. Now 3 years later I have been waiting for exactly 2 years for this company to make them available, and they have not. Not only that, but they have also taken away the ability to have Color options. So now they have fans only in white with the LED attachments, but they have “yet to produce any” of those. They’ve been. Out of stock every since @Nik left! @Nik’s idea of designing this type of fan was brilliant and I just wish he was still a part of the company. They literally swapped the idea of having these fans in colors, for making the LED attachment - when they were supposed to just add the LED attachment to the colored optioned fans.

    The Exhale fan does not use a squirrel cage blower or any type of blade. The discs are the only thing moving the air. If you put a drop of water on a plate and spun the plate, the drop of water would fly off the edge. The same is true for the Exhale, air molecules stick to the surface of the discs and when spun they fly off the edge. There are very small spacers used to separate the discs, but they are round and do not add to the airflow. We would be very happy to ship to South Korea.
