I’m a catholic but I’ve always vehemently believe we can draw strength from others. I once participated in Ramadan. My Muslim friend explained to me that Ramadan isn’t supposed to be about repentance but actually feeling the immense love you have for your God and those around you. I found that to be really beautiful. Also I follow the tribal culture how everything in the natural world has purpose and soul and everything is connected to each other. Just as this song who is sung by a Hasidic Jew and this is so beautiful and spiritual you can’t help but wonder how everything is all connected with each other. We may look and act differently but really we’re from the same family the same circle. We’re all connected to one another.

I've always loved this song and just learned today that Matisyahu is Matthew in Hebrew. I've been loving this song for years and my name is Matthew I never knew that. Crazy. This song is a banger 🔥

Frankly, My Dear, I don’t give a damn. Just be sure he gets the basics like Led Zeppelin, RUSH, Pink Floyd, and Scorpions. For a well rounded impresario of the 21st Century he will become.
Jewish reggae is my thing. Always loved his flow and vibe. He hypes me up still in 2021. Gonna definitely represent in 2022 and beyond. Good music is good music.
Masterpiece. This is how the process of reaching rock bottom and then comes to an awakening. The process isn't not easy it requires the removal of ego, a good guide, and more work in one self.and when you get there through getting to know th source, then there is still challenges but you have discovered the Truth of life, and learned have to navigate it and overcome, and spread the knowledge to others. We are one. Let's please start acting as one would you? No more division, no more hatred, no more hurting others and no more hurting yourself by sabotaging your beautiful promising life. 🌿 Love you all.
All of these people commenting about Gaza, Palestine, anti-semitisim, anti israel but thats not what this song or any of his songs are trying to achieve.... we already dont have enough time in this world to fill it with thoughts of hate. Try to listen to his music and just enjoy yourself and succumb to the emotions that his music presents... and most of all just be happy :)
My older brother used to slap this when i was young. He was very intelligent and loved this guy because he knew what he was saying in this song. Been 5 years since i seen my brother. I have been searching for this song the longest and im glad i found it. And now i know why he loved this song so much.
I used to love this song as a kid but never understood or even bothered looking up the lyrics. Now as an adult, I went searching for it and I’m so glad I did. God is good ❤ He is with us always even when we can’t see it.
marduk mazda I get that, and that’s cool that you showed love lol. BUT when someone says love FROM Iran , that means their expressing love from someone inside Iran , just because your Iranian doesn’t mean you feel the same way as someone actually from Iran . That’s all, but no big deal lol
" As a native of Crown Heights, that was born at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital with a Trinidadian background, swear down fam.. DIS song here, is still and straight 🔥🔥🔥" Talk done.

I LOVE THIS SONG!!! I'll be honest I'm not really the religious type but my goodness I feel some kind of spirit lift/ blessing. Also this song has such a tight reggae feel and so much motivating power to it!!!
THANK YOU MATISYAHU. PERFECT MINISTRY FROM A LEVITE. ANYONE WHO MINISTERS TO THE LORD IS CONSIDERED A LEVITE. LISTEN IF IT MINISTERS TO YOUR SPIRIT PEOPLE.
Completely forgot about this song and Matisyahu, until yesterday. It made me wanna dance. Thank you for the music, thank you for the songs of love and healing!
Are you serious? Has it already been 10 years?! I still remember waking up to get ready for high school and first seeing this on VH1. Damn time has flown. Youth is still my favorite Matisyahu album.
All these people talking about who Matisyahu is instead of the power music he sings, I don't care for his race because he can't chose it, I don't bother with what he believes in cause he can believe in whatever he wants cause he has that as a human right.. I am here for the beautiful message he brings and you all should too
Just now heard this again after loving him years and years ago. Connection to his music and message is even stronger and shining brighter than ever ✨💙✨
I listened to this song before I knew he was singing about God. It's neat how that happened because now I am saved qnd living for God. (To the best of my ability) but coming back to this song and hearing it with new ears has blown my mind. Praise Yeshua.
I'm a 55 yr old white construction worker from the Poconos and absolutely dig this music. I'm not the target demographic but love it just the same. Brilliant!
It actually kind of does though, his music is heavily influenced by Judaism.. Have you head all of his references to God, and Mt. Zion? I mean he is a hasidic jew.. Still great music. Just saying.
At some point you have to forget about who is singing it or what the words are. Enjoy the music. It could have been jibberish what he was saying. You feel the vibe and the flow of the music.
Again, Let go of cultures, races or beliefs. Why can people not just enjoy music without having to think about all the things that devide us. Let music bring us together.
Again, you are trying to start up a discussion that is not why people are here. Enjoy the music people. He is a great artist with great lyrics. This has nothing to do with race or beliefs. Enjoy the music people.
The first time I ever heard the name Matisyahu was earlier this year when he canceled a performance at the House of Blues in Chicago because of violent anti Israeli protests. I went online to find information about him. Who is this guy? I've been listening to his music ever since because it's really good. I'm not a rap or reggae fan so the subtitles behind him in the video are helpful 😊. I'll continue to explore his music 😃.
First hearing about Matisyahu: "haha what Jewish reggae? That's crazy" Actually listens to Matisyahu: "WHAT'S THIS FEELING MY LOVE WILL RIP A HOLE IN THE CEILING"
In 2005 in my teens I worked a Christmas job in a car park with a guy who introduced me to Matisyahu. We’d stand there together in minus 2 degrees with an earphone each jamming. Good times 😅
Man I remember seeing the preview of this on MTV during the commercials right before the Andy Milanokis show or before Viva La Bam back in the day when all we had to worry about was homework and girls. Such good times...I wish I could go back.
Brightens my day every time I hear it ! Keep it up please! You’re a progressive force and this song always makes me smile and rock out. 2020 and your still an inspiring force.
I'm atheist but I listen to this song to feel positivity. I respect how he is worshipping his god without shame and it brings me some kind of peace. And reggae music is great in general.
There is a priest who actually was atheist so he when in search to find that god wasn’t real and ended up proving himself wrong and ended up finding out god was real it’s not pressure but I hope Jesus speaks to u
Also a fact lol it’s not to be mean but the person who made this song is jewish and they are actually anti christ this song isn’t about worshiping god it’s more about worshipping yourself he’s anti Christ but god made a promise back to jews that in the ends of days he will show himself only to the jews and give them a second chance to worship him but no this song isn’t about worshiping god it’s confusing I thought it was about worshipping god to lol still a good song tho 😅
@Faruq Raheen El Bey Neffer he’s actually anti christ I didn’t even know that myself but god made a promise tho present himself to the Jews and to give them a second chance to worship god he doesn’t worship god at all which is confusing Ik but the king without a crown song is actually about worshipping yourself and not god I was shocked to ik

***** I am wearing clothes, just not a shirt, invalid arguement. ''Did I crashed'', what is that even supposed to mean? You're a hypocrite because you say you love happiness but try to make people feel bad about themselves ''He looks gross with beard'', and even more so now when you went on a crazy rant about gay people and muslim prostitutes. Been on youtube for 8 years and haven't got any gay guys inboxing me so sorry, invalid arguement again. And who asked about your opinion? You're basicly cancer in a human form.
***** English isn't my first language either, so that's a bad excuse. You do realise that I am more than a torso right? I actually have legs that aren't in frame, you know, legs, the things you use to walk with? And thanks for noticing my nipples, I'm starting to think that you're that supposedly gay guy I draw attention to. And do you realise that even if you ''didn't mean to insult him'', you did? He's been an orthodox jew for the longest time and it's well known that they dress like that and make their beards grow long, so you basicly disrespected him big time. Yes my account is from 2011 but I've had two previously all with me striking a pose, still no gay guys contacting me. No one asked about my opinion, nor yours, but you took the first step acting like a tool so I responded, that's the thing about freedom of speech you see. Because I said so, and I'm not sure what cancer has to do with warlocks.

Lyrics:
You're all that I have and you're all that I need
Each and every day I pray to get to know you please
I want to be close to you, yes I'm so hungry
You're like water for my soul when it gets thirsty
Without you there's no me
You're the air that I breathe
Sometimes the world is dark and I just can't see
With these, demons surround all around to bring me down to negativity
But I believe, yes I believe, I said I believe
I'll stand on my own two feet
Won't be brought down on one knee
Fight with all of my might and get these demons to flee
Hashem's rays fire blaze burn bright and I believe
Out of darkness comes light, twilight unto the heights
Crown Heights burnin' up all through till midnight
Said, thank you to my God, now I finally got it right
And I'll fight with all of my heart, and all a' my soul, and all a' my might
What's this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being
Sing to my god all these songs of love and healing
Want Moshiach now so it's time we start revealing
What's this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being
Sing to my God all these songs of love and healing
Want Moshiach now
Strip away the layers and reveal your soul
Got to give yourself up and then you become whole
You're a slave to yourself and you don't even know
You want to live the fast life but your brain moves slow
If you're trying to stay high then you're bound to stay low
You want God but you can't deflate your ego
If you're already there then there's nowhere to go
If you're cup's already full then its bound to overflow
If you're drowning in the water's and you can't stay afloat
Ask Hashem for mercy and he'll throw you a rope
You're looking for help from God you say he couldn't be found
Looking up to the sky and searchin' beneath the ground
Like a King without his Crown
Yes, you keep fallin' down
You really want to live but can't get rid of your frown
Tried to reach unto the heights and wound bound down on the ground
Given up your pride and the you heard a sound
Out of night comes day and out of day comes light
Nullified to the One like sunlight in a ray,
Makin' room for his love and a fire gone blaze
Makin' room for his love and a fire gone blaze
What's this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being
Sing to my God all these songs of love and healing
Want Moshiach now so it's time we start revealing
What's this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being
Sing to my God all these songs of love and healing
Want Moshiach now
And see, I lift up my eyes where my help come from
And I seen it circling around from the mountain
Thunder!
You feel it in your chest
You keep my mind at ease and my soul at rest
You're not vexed
When I look to the sky where my help come from
And I've seen it circling around from the mountain

Don't know why this song popped into my head. Took all these years to realize how wholesome this song was.
Just introduced my teenager to Matisyahu, happy to carry this blessed music into the next generation.
Frankly, My Dear, I don’t give a damn.
Just be sure he gets the basics like Led Zeppelin, RUSH, Pink Floyd, and Scorpions.
For a well rounded impresario of the 21st Century he will become.
@@thisismagacountry1318 already done my friend, already done :) the kid loves classic rock.
Your music inspires me so much. I love your positivity and even though I'm not religious I can relate to this song incredibly well
Lyrics 💯 always makes me readjust my life and relationship with God. Reminds me I gotta fight the good fight to earn my crown when I see my Lord 🙏🏼
One the greatest tracks.
2024 anyone still listening ? 👏👏
Just came back.
Natürlich. Grüße aus Deutschland. Bochum. !

Always will listen to this........ eternally this man is a prophet....
I love you for this song MATISYAHU. But man, it is wild how crazy good you are live. You are AWESOME.
Jewish reggae is my thing. Always loved his flow and vibe. He hypes me up still in 2021. Gonna definitely represent in 2022 and beyond. Good music is good music.

I'm Christian But I Love Matisyahu's Music! It's So Uplifting!
Except haahaha he is singing about ushering in the false messiah or you know the antichrist if you consider yourself a Christian.
Existence without god is death. Like a king without his crown.
Thank god everyday for life to feel the sun and warmth sometimes to cry with the rain....to love, life.
🎉
This song will always bring me back to God's foundation.
Yup, just posted this song to Twitter. God Bless! The Lord will never leave us!!!!
My older brother used to slap this when i was young. He was very intelligent and loved this guy because he knew what he was saying in this song. Been 5 years since i seen my brother. I have been searching for this song the longest and im glad i found it. And now i know why he loved this song so much.

This song changed my life its helped me through some dark times no matter what
What did this song do for you?
This song is just as important and strong as it was back then and it brings tears to my eyes listening to it
Same, beautiful song
So true
I used to love this song as a kid but never understood or even bothered looking up the lyrics. Now as an adult, I went searching for it and I’m so glad I did. God is good ❤ He is with us always even when we can’t see it.
Much love from IRAN -2019 😍 I love this track . Such lovely vibes
Hope you life a good life in Iran
@@oskarm.4133 I don't live in Iran brotha. But yeah hope everything ends with peace and positivity
marduk mazda then why do you say love FROM Iran ? Lol
@@TheGEOPOLITICIANGUY what should I say? Love from an iranian? Would be too specified..🤣
marduk mazda I get that, and that’s cool that you showed love lol.
THANK YOU MATISYAHU. PERFECT MINISTRY FROM A LEVITE. ANYONE WHO MINISTERS TO THE LORD IS CONSIDERED A LEVITE. LISTEN IF IT MINISTERS TO YOUR SPIRIT PEOPLE.
Almost feels like it's been 15 years since I first heard of matisyahu! Wow still love it
2009, 202, 2030, 2050 it doesnt matter the year, this song will still be relevant. This is timeless. Peace 2 everyone & bless up !
Still listening to your old songs, it still gives me hype. You magically rewinds everything, Mati.🤘🏻
Same😊
Completely forgot about this song and Matisyahu, until yesterday. It made me wanna dance. Thank you for the music, thank you for the songs of love and healing!
Are you serious? Has it already been 10 years?! I still remember waking up to get ready for high school and first seeing this on VH1. Damn time has flown.
Youth is still my favorite Matisyahu album.
More like 16 years. This was recorded in 2004 and released in 2005. Eveytime I hear it I am immediately taken back to Freshman year in high school.
All these people talking about who Matisyahu is instead of the power music he sings, I don't care for his race because he can't chose it, I don't bother with what he believes in cause he can believe in whatever he wants cause he has that as a human right.. I am here for the beautiful message he brings and you all should too
2020! Anyone still listening? 🤘
Every day almost.. just trying to thrive ✌
Good stuff, keep it up ✌️
Have this on my workout mix so I catch it like once every few days
I usually start off my day with this song because it shifts my mentality to something positive. ✌️
Amen, Praise God 🙏🙌 I'm so happy for you, and seeing this comment has made my day!! God Bless ✝️🙏🕊️🙌
I'm a 55 yr old white construction worker from the Poconos and absolutely dig this music. I'm not the target demographic but love it just the same. Brilliant!
I don't care what anyone says.
This is when he was at his very best.
This song is one of the most meaningful songs in all of reggae.
Bring this back.
Enjoy the music people.
He is a great artist with great lyrics.
This has nothing to do with race or beliefs.
Enjoy the music people.
If only most of these people could do that :/.
This song will never die!!!! #2019 and still on replay.
First hearing about Matisyahu: "haha what Jewish reggae? That's crazy"
Actually listens to Matisyahu: "WHAT'S THIS FEELING MY LOVE WILL RIP A HOLE IN THE CEILING"
Exactly, it changed my view on allot of things, and actually my life to the better, but that's maybe not valid my life is a shithole
Check out SNOW - INFORMER
Its more ska but with a reggae vibe which i love.
I LOVE IT 😘

I love the positivity in your songs!! Thank you for this music 💖
In 2005 in my teens I worked a Christmas job in a car park with a guy who introduced me to Matisyahu. We’d stand there together in minus 2 degrees with an earphone each jamming. Good times 😅
Awesome memory !
Respect! Amazing voice, and even more amazing song
It is 2023 already and I am still listening to this song from the 2000s era, I had it on my Ipod back then, I was a teenager, now I'm in my early 30s.
mid 30s here, i still have the iPod with it on lol
Same here!! This song has been and always will be my jam!

You got to give yourself up and then you become whole. The line hits me hard at 33 years old now as it did when I was 14.
AMEN my brother you gave me hope LOVE
Need this today
Sounds like you're not an atheist
@@SuperPapi228 the song doesn’t talk about this praise god so I think they are
King Without A Crown
[Verse 1]
You're all that I have and you're all that I need
Each and every day I pray to get to know you, please
I want to be close to you, yes I'm so hungry
You're like water for my soul when it gets thirsty
Without you there's no me
You're the air that I breathe
Sometimes the world is dark and I just can't see
With these, demons surround all around to bring me down to negativity
But I believe, yes I believe, I said I believe
I'll stand on my own two feet
Won't be brought down on one knee
Fight with all of my might and get these demons to flee
HaShem's rays fire blaze burn bright and I believe
HaShem's rays fire blaze burn bright and I believe
Out of darkness comes light, twilight unto the heights
Crown Heights burnin' up all through till twilight
Said thank you to my God, now I finally got it right
And I'll fight with all of my heart, and all a' my soul, and all a' my might
[Hook]
What's this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
I give myself to you from the essence of my being and I
Sing to my god, songs of love and healing
I want Moshiach now, time we start revealing
What's this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
I give myself to you from the essence of my being and I
Sing to my god, songs of love and healing
I want Moshiach now
[Verse 2]
Strippin’ away the layers and reveal your soul
Got to give yourself up and then you become whole
You're a slave to yourself and you don't even know
You want to live the fast life but your brain moves slow
If you're trying to stay high, bound to stay low
You want God but you can't deflate your ego
If you're already there then there's nowhere to go
If your cup's already full then its bound to overflow
If you're drowning in the waters and you can't stay afloat
Ask Hashem for mercy, and he'll throw you a rope
You're looking for help from God you say he couldn't be found
Searching up to the sky and looking beneath the ground
Like a King without his Crown
You keep fallin' down
You really want to live but can't get rid of your frown
Tried to reach unto the heights and wound bound down on the ground
Given up your pride and then you heard a sound
Out of night comes day and out of day comes light
Nullified to the One like sunlight in a ray
Makin' room for his love and a fire gone blaze
Makin' room for his love and a fire gone blaze
[Hook]
[Verse 3]
See I lift up my eyes where my help come from
And I seen it circling around from the mountain
Thunder!
You feel it in your chest
You keep my mind at ease and my soul at rest
You're not vexed
Look to the sky where my help come from
Seen it circling around from the mountain
Thunder!
You feel it in your chest
You keep my mind at ease and my soul at rest
You're not vexed

+Happiness Lover Fucking hypocrite name you have there.
*****
I am wearing clothes, just not a shirt, invalid arguement.
*****
English isn't my first language either, so that's a bad excuse.
+Happiness Lover No one asked for your opinon, too.
Great, positive song.
