That heat shrink used to probe male pins in connectors is a great idea.

Thanks! I learned that from Jan Beta if I remember correctly.

When that happens, I return the item telling Ebay that untested or even non-working does not mean stripped.

NICE box of Commodore goodness!!! I like the 2 camera angels at the same time. Thats a LOT of joysticks! What is "the classic IC dump"? If it's an eBay scam can't you return it under PayPal protection? or get some money returned for the 2 missing SIDs and 2 VIC-II chips? What was the cost for this lot? TY for the Commodore content.

It's kind of a semi-legal scam where you just say it's broken and don't show the whole story in the pictures. I paid € 55,75 shipped. Not great, but not terrible either.

Tja, da waren wohl wieder diese ominösen Chipräuber aktiv, von denen man manchmal in den eBay Beschreibungen von ausgedienten Ersatzteilboards liest....

Is that an ALDI 64 or is my colour blindness showing it as more grey than beige? And I love those key caps.

Both c64s Wolfgang were sent have Longboards so they are both classical breadbins. Aldi C64s all have shortboards and are Made in California with a CA Serial number.

Nope. Just plain old C64s. Early ones though.
