Allie you should not apologize so much for slipping up on your words, as many videos as you do and products that you work with it's a wonder you don't get completely tongue tied some days. I love the work with the Rivoli's - I was given as a gift a box of 12mm crystal - so I'm messing up everything because I don't know how to figure out how to increase the number of seed beads to accommodate the larger Rivoli. What would the change in count before these earrings and is there a method to figure this out without making the whole thing only to find that the stone doesn't properly fit?
+robin crean if we make them short then people complain that there wasn't enough detail, so every tutorial must be balanced for both new and experienced beaders.

You would just bezel around the clip in the same way that you would around the stud.

These earrings are so pretty! I am having trouble with the posts being too short to put a backing on. Perhaps use a different brand of pad post?
Yes there are a few different sizes, so you probably just need longer ones.
