in the best way possible, every liminal found footage video of yours i watch, it truly looks AND feels like i’m in a dream. the quality, the locations, just the vibe of it is so ethereal truly. what an incredible job. creativity shows 100%.
Love the dreamlike quality. Definitely feels like someplace I've aeen before in a dream. You nailed the yellow painted drywall color perfectly. I like it when liminal spaces are well chaired. Feels like someone sat there at some point. These spaces are so unique too! Could do with a tiny bit of chromatic abberation though. Maybe some clothes rustling noises but overall this is great!
Love this one! I love your style for this backrooms video. It’s truly like the viewer is the one wandering the liminal spaces, anticipating and wondering if something is here with us or not. It makes me feel truly alone-putting myself in the protagonists shoes because of the lack of speech or noises from them or from the world around us. Amazing work! love to see it.
I think one of the biggest mistakes people make (repeatedly) in these Backrooms vids is, the person enters a new room or area... but doesn't swing the camera left or right to see who or what is off to the sides. That's not how humans act, especially if hunted.
And they never look inside or around anything they come across, ie I'd be looking inside every cabinet, cupboard, box, papers and refrigerator I saw!!!!
All very good points in this thread. I'd be worried especially about making the camerman behave realistically, and comunicating that to the audience without too ham-fisted
In a world of fps games it's all too easy to forget that these are supposed to be shot from held cameras and not eyes on heads. Realism is more than just camera shake/view bob, lense artifacts, etc. The camera movement needs to feel like it's being held and manipulated by arm/hand and in some cases those bazooka-style shoulder mounted camcorders (which would pivot with person's view though somewhat stiff-ly if that makes sense). I think, however, these are meant to be as though shot from early 2000's handicams and Sony handheld cameras so would be independent of a person's head movement. That said, I do think a little body twist would translate into the camera such that a more realistic camera gesture when entering a new area would have subtle side to side movements. Would be good to throw in some more natural pivoting and spinning from time to time, with occasional backing up and sidestepping...unless that's just how I move through a space, heh.
I wish I could explore these places with this guy, it seems like an enthralling experience to wander around such an expansive space. There's something so comforting in certain liminal spaces that I could not ignore.
the feetsteps sounding the exact same broke the immersion. they sound like drums on all surfaces like someones just banging on the wall or is wearing some wooden shoes made of solid wood. even still, the footsteps would sound different on the surfaces. . . shame because this had potential, but the footseps sounds just completely broke the immersion. the carpet sounds like wood and loud as hell lol. tile sounds like hollow wood, flagstone sounds like hollow wood and horrible. no reverb in the halls when on tiles and other surfaces.

Fr it should become a Gmod map or something definitely would play

Love the date scramble at the start.
sound design is crazy
S Mart? More like "Scary Mart"!
But on a serious note, this was really well-done 👍
7:48 I mean... that's a nice little apartment! 🤷♀️
Only thing missing is a fridge and it'd be perfect. Love the massive-sized shower!!

God I wish I could join the guy in his exploring
I miss his older backrooms videos he removed 😢
Thrilled for more content. Thank you.
Great work, very unique and liminal places, loved every second of the exploration
Wow! So Good!

The person is holding a camera, it doesn’t mean they aren’t looking around like mad🤷♂️
@@CHUNKYNUGGET666 That's a good point actually. X D

Just watched it alongside my cat, loved it! Hyped to see more of it.

part 1 of 100 hopefully. really good!
Even though I’m scared of liminality, I just wanna be here
so peaceful
Que motor usaste para hacer la animación? Blender con cycles? EEVEE? (PD:muy buen trabajo, la animación quedó genial)
S-Mart looks like an abandoned Target.
I think it’s supposed to be a parody of K-Mart lol.
13:37 ooh that'd be where I'd be hollering something out. Either "Nope! nope! nope!" Or a "oh hey hi where am I? Who's there?" or something.
Still love this concept to be lost in our business interior design world forever.

I could see myself living in some of these places
