The presentation is very human and not ad-friendly; it's ad-hostile, I'd say, and it's a sign of some good, authentic content. Channel's name, banner, and profile image are also great. I'm just gonna sub and sob over the lost internet age where channels like yours were the majority, making this place fun and human.
Shit man glad u like the art (HAHAHAAH). yeah FUCK ads I agree with u 100% there. I have 0 plans to monetize this shit. It is JUST about spreading a message- glad u liked it. Yeah internet and attention are FULLY commodified now ://, this means being 'safe' and following specific trends and rules, marketability is the name of the game. Thanks for watching, I'll upload as long as I can.
@@pinkSid--- gl with that, I'm watching every upload ever from now on; I know it's cringe and edgy of me to talk some shit like sincerity on the Internet, but yeah, you're right, everything "has to" be marketable and safe right now because everybody is dreaming about landing on that sweet ad-revenue cock some day and rack in dozens of $$$, but that makes people sound so fucking robotic with constant beeping or avoiding unsafe topic like suicide, death, drugs, weapons of any kind, etc. Like at least don't fucking say it if you're so afraid, right? People just invent stupid ways to censor themselves like saying "unalive" or just beeping themselves all the time, all while hoping that the ad gods would still bless them with some cents, but that's a whole other topic. peace my pink brother Frank be with ye
@@jrknsOFF "peace my pink brother Frank be with ye" HELL YES. Yeah that guy was a fucking legend lol. Honestly I just want to see a free-er society and I feel I can help by being articulate on certain topics and putting out these videos. Glad some people appreciate them.

That's perhaps the best attitude to have. Still, I think it'd be for the better if your channel did become popular - the more people hear and understand the need for simplicity in life and FOSS the better. I myself have seen the light and switched to arch thanks to Mental Outlaw around one and a half years ago, and it's really been a force for the better in my life, and I'm sure that many people have had similar experiences
@@sdpolukhin yeah for me it was Luke Smith, I think you know about him also. And after diggign into FOSS, I learned many other things aswell. So I made this channel. What's up with all this Furher sympathy on 04:40? Even if it's a joke, its quite irrelevant to the topic and pretty much draws you a very negative impression on some viewers. I did not report.
I isn't sympathy.... I get if the sense of humor doesn't appeal to you. but yeah there are a lot of politically incorrect jokes on this channel. I literally named it after lord Filthy Frank. Either way thanks for not reporting I guess? I'll never monetize this channel with google anyway. I like making those jokes and find them funny, there is nothing deeper to it. Thanks for the view
If you want a more streamlined version of latex with minimal compile times, try typst. New latex competitor written in rust with a markdown style syntax but still being turing complete.
Yeah latex is actually pretty slow and bloated. GNU troff is also a pretty good alternative. I think text data, with some graphical touches (like vimwiki headings and all) is enough for learning languages and taking notes that relate to computer science, nested syntaxes. I think for subjects like mathematics and all, the alternatives you suggested would be better. Thanks for the comment and view.
Might as well just use proprietary garbage instead of this lol. Seriously tho, org-mode does all of this better and more. I will never understand the lengths that Vim users will go to not use Emacs.
@@pinkSid--- Based. Whatever works for you man. I personally use free software just because it's better but it is true that any free software program is better than feeding our degenerate green-glowing tech overlords trough telemetry and backdoors in proprietary software.
@@GandalfTheBrown117 Honestly if you love vim so much, just use both. Emacs for org mode and vim for text editing. You can even use it in the terminal and integrate it with tmux if you want to.
Probably I'll switch from Notion to this. Damn Daniel I do not even want to think about the mess on notion. Notion is the secret for procrastination fr.
Man. I use Obsidian, so I probably won't use this, but I could literally open my obsidian vault with this and use vim to edit my programming notes. And if Obsidian ever goes to shit, well here's a solution! Also, thanks for the 2000s humor. I miss it.
Obsidian isn't free open source software. Vimwiki doesn't have every feature obsidian does but it has all of the features that make you productive and efficient.
just searched up notion. Holy fuck which person wrote that bloated MESS. Yeah bloat where bloat isn't needed. The point of a 'productivity app' should be to be minimal so people spend less time on it and more time getting shit DONE. Introducing bloat wastes everyones time and makes everyone dependent on the corpos. Thanks for the comment and view.
Hahahahhahahaha i opened the video and this dude starts fucking insulting me + uses nvim, deserved a follow what a gigachad more people like you (and me)

Is this a better alternative to obsidian?
YES IT IS!! It also stores notes more minimally

Can you make a video exploring the more advanced features of vimwiki,(tags, etc)

f vi based text editor users,
other programs use you as an utility
emacs use the entire os and other programs as utility
if everything in unix is a file, then a good editor should be the real way of managing your unix system.
