    The presentation is very human and not ad-friendly; it's ad-hostile, I'd say, and it's a sign of some good, authentic content. Channel's name, banner, and profile image are also great. I'm just gonna sub and sob over the lost internet age where channels like yours were the majority, making this place fun and human.

      Shit man glad u like the art (HAHAHAAH). yeah FUCK ads I agree with u 100% there. I have 0 plans to monetize this shit. It is JUST about spreading a message- glad u liked it. Yeah internet and attention are FULLY commodified now ://, this means being 'safe' and following specific trends and rules, marketability is the name of the game. Thanks for watching, I'll upload as long as I can.

      @@pinkSid--- gl with that, I'm watching every upload ever from now on; I know it's cringe and edgy of me to talk some shit like sincerity on the Internet, but yeah, you're right, everything "has to" be marketable and safe right now because everybody is dreaming about landing on that sweet ad-revenue cock some day and rack in dozens of $$$, but that makes people sound so fucking robotic with constant beeping or avoiding unsafe topic like suicide, death, drugs, weapons of any kind, etc.
      Like at least don't fucking say it if you're so afraid, right? People just invent stupid ways to censor themselves like saying "unalive" or just beeping themselves all the time, all while hoping that the ad gods would still bless them with some cents, but that's a whole other topic.

      That's perhaps the best attitude to have.
      Still, I think it'd be for the better if your channel did become popular - the more people hear and understand the need for simplicity in life and FOSS the better.
      I myself have seen the light and switched to arch thanks to Mental Outlaw around one and a half years ago, and it's really been a force for the better in my life, and I'm sure that many people have had similar experiences

    If you want a more streamlined version of latex with minimal compile times, try typst.
    New latex competitor written in rust with a markdown style syntax but still being turing complete.

    • @pinkSid---
      @pinkSid---  Год назад

      Yeah latex is actually pretty slow and bloated. GNU troff is also a pretty good alternative. I think text data, with some graphical touches (like vimwiki headings and all) is enough for learning languages and taking notes that relate to computer science, nested syntaxes. I think for subjects like mathematics and all, the alternatives you suggested would be better. Thanks for the comment and view.

Introducing bloat wastes everyones time and makes everyone dependent on the corpos. Thanks for the comment and view.

    vimwiki is pretty based especially in combination with taskwiki but the lack of a treesitter (I don't know if that's what I mean I'm a noob I mean getting getting existing pages that I already created recommended) made me switch to logseq but thanks for this video makes me want to try it out again

    • @pinkSid---
      @pinkSid---  Год назад +1

      Yeah I looked into taskwiki, seems to add more graphics to vim. Could be cool, the nested tasks and all. idk what you mean by treesitter, it is used for parsing stuff, basically highlighting stuff so you can see functions, variables and all. But yeah I think you will figure it out easily, it feels a little alien at the start, but trust me you will make progress and once you get the hang of it, you look back at your old self and think, fuck why did I take so long.
      Thanks for the view, and more importantly trying again - good luck.
