They truly cannot see a South Africa without the ANC. And Granted, I get it & understand, the last time anybody else governed SA they were dehumanized & saw the worst of what humanity has to offer. And the ANC came to "save the day". But, that ANC died a long, long time ago. It is now a criminal organization. One which is responsible for the deplorable state she as well as millions of other South Africans are in. Natural disasters cannot be avoided, true, but you can prepare & buffer against total catastrophe. We know torrential rains hit every 2yrs or so. Why then not use our tax money to build roads & bridges that can withstand them? Why not maintain & further develop our drainage systems? No, mansions, body guards & Sandton apartments are more important to the ANC. In many ways, the ANC is worse than the National Party ever was. The National Party told black people straight up that we are undeserving of dignity, respect & the opportunity to be somebody. They legislated that & made it state policy - ink on paper for the world to see. The ANC on the hand has been selling South Africans pipe dreams of "a better life for all". Yeah, sure, they grew the economy at a rate of 5% throughout the Mandela & Mbeki years but that is that achievement has been undone a great number of times over since 2009. The 2024 elections will be the most important elections since 1994. If you have a voice in your family rally everyone to vote against the ANC. Everybody (except for the ANC) knows having millions of young men specifically, feeling hopeless because they are unemployed & have no sense of entrepreneurship because their education system failed dismally in calibrating them to self sufficient - is a bad bad idea & recipe for disaster. That's our violent crimes & unrests happen, because they have nothing to lose & nothing to live for. Rest assured, in the next unrest they wont be in factories, ware houses & supermarkets. They will be in our houses looking through our fridges. There is not enough bullets, high walls & private security to stop them if they really were to apply themselves to such a task. They could do it. But that does not have to happen. This country has the necessary ingredients to become a first world & gateway for the rest of Africa. There are people across races in SA who can get this country to where it needs to be. But we will never see that day so long as the ANC is at the wheel. As South Africans we need to start accepting that truth & ask ourselves what kind of a future do we want for this country.
