I love the name of your nursery. When people tell me that I have a green thumb I tell them it really takes a brown thumb (from digging in the dirt) to have a beautiful garden.

Im gonna have to try getting me some seeds also... I need some hardy Hibiscus trees.
Many people absolutely swear that you MUST nick the seeds with a knife and keep them on a heat mat in order to get them to sprout, so I'm happy to see your excellent results with simply putting the seeds straight into the starter mix and keeping them humid and warm!
It's been a year so you might not even see my comment, but I'm curious to know what type of heat mats you use, and what temperature setting (if they are adjustable).
I just have the cheap ones from Amazon. They don’t even have a temperature control. Just whatever they are when they are plugged in. However, I did notice that when I bought new ones, they are warmer than my ones that are several years old.

@@impressedbydes991 I don’t guess I ever did an update on those particular seedlings, but I was just looking & I think I have only one of them left from that batch. It is getting ready to bloom in a few days, so maybe I will do just a quick video maybe even a “short”.

What about if you didn't have a heating pad or a growing light what would you do...
Find a warm spot with good light. Like a window possibly.

Hi, I am doing some seeds I got on amazon bc I couldn’t find them locally and I’m following your process. I’ve got one sprout this morning! How long do I keep them in the humidity dome and on the heat mats? Thank you so much!
As soon as most of them have sprouted, you can remove them from the heat and humidity dome. You will need to gradually ween them from the humidity for a couple days. Thanks for watching! God Bless!!

I’m not sure. Do you have places that sell plants in the Philippines? If so, I would ask them if they can get some.
Where can I buy the dinner plate size hibiscus? Are they perrenial for zone 4b?
I have found them at Lowe’s several times. I love the Proven Winners varieties. You might check with some of your local nurseries. They will probably have them. There are different varieties. Most of them are hearty between zones four through nine. We used to live in Michigan zone five and they did great there.
