The translation in the subtitles at some points make it so clear that the translator didn't know what the fuck they were talking about. In part 1 when Chris is talking about the ride cymbal, it's translated as "the cymbal on the right". And when he's talking about Paul's drumming on Mind Control, the translator thinks he says "it's in mind control" to say "you really get the hang of it". 😂 I saw this years back on a VHS I borrowed from a friend, awesome stuff. When rock and roll had a little more mystique to it and all you knew about your heroes was what you could read in magazines or when some tv station gave a little attention to it.
Damn he's a king👑 Really really quick. I like Paul good drummer. This was my first thrash album; I got it in 1994 as it came out along with Youthanasia. On tape btw.
@masterofpuppets636 Honestly, I think Dave L. can technically play those songs but Paul B. have a so very very physical drumming style !! Entire LP Divine Intervention's drumming is physically unbelievable and the composition is so talentuous...
@@russkate88 Hey guys. I hadn't heard Paul in Forbidden prior to him joining Slayer either. Back in that day it was hard to come by albums... But Slayer is close to my heart. And I could tell Paul put his heart into Slayer when he joined. His drums on Divine were... Divine, no joke. Paul probably regrets setting such a high bar so early in Slayer, hard to keep up with... Lombardo's shoes were not easy to fill and I'm sure Paul was a fan... So I'd bet that even if Paul tells you he cut his teeth and hit his prime in Forbidden prior to Slayer... I'd bet he'd say that Slayer was his shining moment and time in the spotlight, his moment to prove himself. If Hammett was better in Exodus than in Metallica, I wouldn't fucking know it. Because Metallica was big enough to hit my ears.
Ook mijn eerste grote concert voor zover in het kan herrinneren. Machine Head nog nog maar hun eerste album uit, Paul Bostaph verving nog maar met Lombardo en ik ging met m'n fiets richting Ahoy'. Hahaha, fucking gewelding, bedankt.
@@patientmental875 you guys obviously haven't heard Paul's work from Forbidden. Too many ignorant Slayer fanboys think he was just a hired gun, a replacement for Dave which technically he was but they chose him for a reason. It's because his chops are just as original as Dave's and he happens to be among the most innovative, solid thrash drummers of all time. Dave is no doubt the original sound of Slayer but what Paul delivered on Divine Intervention, he pretty much helped develop a fresh new iteration of their sound and made it his own. There's so many signature pieces that you just wouldnt otherwise hear on Dave's albums and vice versa. Respect the fact they at least found a drummer of that calibre and did not call it quits or settle for someone who was not meant to be there.
Paul BOSTAPH is one of my best favourite metal drummer ! He played very well all Dave LOMBARDO songs ! But Dave LOMBARDO never want to play Paul BOSTAPH Slayer songs... Why in your opinion ??? :D
I don't think he could. The drumming on Divine Intervention is quite technical and doesn't just follow the traditional double kick style of drumming which don't get me wrong, even that takes skill, but this goes beyond that.
Nickhead87 See why cant others be like us? They see both drummers as great. They have their own style. Even Paul gives credit to Dave and Lars. and then you get morons in here OH PAUL BLOWS DAVE AWAY! well if you want to be honest....When dave came back for Christ illusions. It was credited to dave for helping them with that album and getting nominated twice for a award.....Paul did what? No offense to paul though.

Paul Bostaph blows Lombardo away. It really is no contest.
MrTinFoiler HAH you gotta be joking, Paul has NO groove he uses the most generic fills and beats ever!

Dave invented the style guys. His drumming on the first 4 albums is mindblowing.
Philthy Animal from Motorhead was also an early double bass drum heavy metal pioneer
