Kanami has really made a significant breakthrough with this album. WD was intricate enough but after she started experimenting in Conqueror, what we get here is just layer upon layer of sounds, alongside multiple vocal lines. There’s much more dynamics and depth to the point that nothing less than a studio headphone with good separation is needed to fully enjoy this. It can get very cluttered otherwise and all you’d hear is a wall of sound.
I’m totally loving this new confident and mature vibe I’m getting from her songwriting on this album.

I really hear a woman trapped at home, day after day in 2020, doing some of her best creative work to date. I don't think you can listen to this album without thinking about the context under which she wrote it. It's insane in the best way.
@@alxvdark Couldn’t agree more. They say “Adversity is the mother of invention”, guess all that built-up excess energy and frustration from being stuck at home really pushed her over the edge in the best way possible. 😅

Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things. I love how they don't stagnate, keep adding to their toolbox, trying new things, and really maturing. And Miku, holy pigeon, homegirl continues to step up, I'm loving her guitar and vocal work coming more into the front as her skills and confidence improve.
Yes, she does have the perfect voice for this music!!! When i hear other singers my mind goes: that's not Saiki

I’ve listened to the album all the way through a few times. The songs are placed very well to tell an audio story across the entire album!
I've read in interviews that they pay special attention to track placement.
That's weird because the song order is different on the double disc version of "Unseen World"
Right! Which one is the story they want to tell us?
The Limited Edition clusters the songs (and adds one, compared to the standard release) on each CD by “theme” (roots vs. progress). I’d say the story from the standard (digital) release (which most people will ultimately buy) is one of contrasting styles that compliment each other as a whole. The story of the Limited Edition is to isolate each of those themes and explore them more deeply within context. Both perfectly valid!
The album is fantastic, Band Maid's best and heaviest. Bravo ladies.
You are going to be hearing "another Akane song" with almost every track.
OMG. Black Hole is crazy overload with Akane. I hope they give her a break after playing that one live.
we all know their musicianship is supberb but I listened to the whole album a few times and I have to say, "Saiki" is pulling that vocal train into a different dimension, you can hear it in her voice she is becoming so confident, I almost want to call it " cocky" but in a good way/ this girl will have some serious options as a vocalist in the future, hoping she is going to stay with Band Maid as the most potent and talented platform she can ask for!

I couldn't agree more! This is the best I have heard her, and she was great before. Her voice is way more dynamic on this album.Using all types range, fast, clear, melodic with a whole lot of feel and attitude.

Miku did lead vocal while Saiki did the second, also the lead guitar in one part. that is great which gives a break for Saiki who is extetemely hard working.
Besides, i surprised that Saiki is practicing guitar!
i thought she is an exclusive vocal queen, but she may be interested to instruments, it would make her rythm guitar player!
i respect Saiki to have such passion to increase player utility, an it is tremendous thrill to have such choice because Miku can contribute variations to their songs. but just want to see someday Saiki plays guitar!!

Once it starts to go, this song never stops. The vocal arrangement is very good. Great start to the album.
On every song from Unseen World, we're witnessing an evolution of Band-Maid right before our very eyes and ears.

Saiki has taken her vocals to another level on this album & she was already great before.
Despite some hiccups with sound, Saiki's vocal performance of all the new stuff was great. Sorry I'm taking about the online okyuji few days ago.

MISA MISA MISA! Conqueror was Kanami and Saiki Unseen World is Akane and MISA
So many nostalgic feels to this song! Notably that emo punk vibe underneath something else that I can't find words for, but is somehow very familiar, but of course as per Band-Maid, way way way better.
It never gets old watching you get so enthusiastic and happy about their sound. I love it :)
This is Saiki's favorite song off the album.
Interesting that it's the first song in the album. Black Hole is Miku's favorite song in the album, and it's the last track.

Ah, I see. I watched Champ's full album review and he said people in the comments of some earlier video said Miku said Black Hole was her favorite song on the album. I'll assume you guys are right in that Sayonakidori is Miku's favorite song off the album.

The moment it came out, I bought the whole album off of iTunes....yup at 3 a.m EST. Been waiting for it. Been listening to it everyday!

My God! This whole album is scary good! Every member has elevated to another level. I can't single out any of these girls as better than any other, though Akane must be on something (joy) to play with such frenzy! This is THICK with layers of sound. It's like a mega amusement park where you simply can't see everything in a day. And the pace is incredible! I love it!!!!!
These background vocals in the beginning of the first verse are almost "Queen-Like". Miku has really moved to the front more on all the new tracks I've heard in both her vocals and guitar parts. Love it.

I cant remember that the guitars in any Band Maid Song sounded this Powerful and Energetic. not even in Rinne.
But i like it. I think this Song needs multiple listens. I feel like every Band Member got better for this Album and i allready thought the last Album Conqueror was perfect.
And Kanami s skill of writing guitar Solo s also improved.

The crazy thing about this song is the title fits perfectly! This really is just a warning on how good this album is! It's almost like they can do no wrong!

Watching people react to Band-Maid for the first time has become one of my favorite pastimes on RUclips...but rarely do I continue watching reactors once they've been caught in the BM web.
However, I can honestly say that my BM listening experience has only been enriched watching you react to them. Your insights on the music really help a non-musician like me appreciate the girls on a whole other level.

The whole album feels like it's Akane's album
It was because of boredom that I stopped listening to music in the first place, after discovering make maid I have been rejuvenated again.
Holy shit, this was GNARLY. The writing feels like Kanami's guitar playing in a way. Relentless, precise, intricate and multi-faceted but, chaotic if you're not really listening. Akane must've gone through half the Amazon rainforest in drumsticks during the practice and recording sessions for this album if this anything to go by.
Yeah Miku seems to have more vocals in the album (have not heard the full album yet) but shes done several tracks where shes the main vocalist, including this album. It seems to me she had more vocals on earlier Band Maid songs but she scaled down when she started to focus more on her guitar playing. One of my favorite tracks is Freezer, the back and forth between Saiki and Miku's vocals is awesome still hoping for a similar track to come along.
They all are great as always, but i think that Saiki and MiKu shines in this album

Btw, Warning! is the best song on the Album in my opinion. It gives me these epic anime opening vibes.
My fav is Manners coz its honestly the BM anthem as it tells their story which makes it emotional for me but the one I rate as the overall best would be “H-G-K”.
Its fast paced, has a nasty technical main riff, catchy chorus, great vocal work around the chorus, crazy 2nd verse, Misa going off every now and then, Akane and Kanami are pretty much going ham throughout, and the best part- the transition from the chorus to the solo and onto the bridge. Simply flawless songwriting. The outro complimented the song perfectly too.
Even that solo itself was the best solo of the album. If they release an MV for this, it’d be the perfect “introduction” video as this has every element of the core “Band Maid sound” at its current finest.

My first thought when hearing this track was that it reminded me of all the stuff that made Saosin great. I've been really impressed with these new tracks.
I definitely see why this is Saiki's favourite song on the album.

As brilliant as they all are on this album, Akane is the stand out for me. This confirms her into the Drummer Hall of Fame. She is incredible!

could you please fix your band-maid playlist on youtube? the first 4 are not in the order to listened to them (you did Domination MV first), and the acoustic for Puzzle is not included in the playlist.
There are not many like me propably who just like going back and play that specific playlist from beginning to end, I like doing so, working from home, it's kinda a nice background "radio" kind of ... thx!
I second this! I was meaning to leave a comment but keep forgetting. Because I rewatch those frequently, and more importantly I think they'd be a great asset to newcomers, but it works better if they're not going #3 - 4 -1 -2 - 5 - 6....

They did the 1, 2 ,3 ,4 in the song Manners lol... but it was very creative and directly after we get something we have never seen from Miku before so it gives it a totally different feel. Plus there was still some sound during the 1 and 2 and you only clearly hear the 3 and 4.
Band Maid Members must burn 900 calories when they perform this entire Album from start to finish.

They don't seem to lose groove no matter how fast they go. There are parts that reminds me of speed metal but then it isn't. It's band-maid.

Oh yes Saiki did say this is her favourite song on the album because... it’s the easiest song for her to sing on the album. She didn’t need to make much adjustment to sing it... easiest for her to record too.

Favorite Band Maid reaction channel. I listen to A LOT of band maid and I look out for all the little things they add and all the awesome things they do but im not musically inclined you're able to articulate all that stuff into words and make sense of it and it makes me appreciate them even more so thank you and keep up the good work!
Akane said that Kanami asked her how fast she could play the drum tempo, then Kanami ignored her and sent over an even faster tempo forcing Akane to play faster than she thought possible. I’d say Akane nailed it.

The warning from Mexico, and Lovebites/Band maid from Japan are my top 3 favorite bands, and they're nothing buy ladies kicking butt. They put any professional famous band to shame, unless it's Dream theater, Megadeth, etc of course.

All I can think with all the "can't control me" theming on this album is how hard they've had to fight for their musical independence over the albums and years. They pretty much got free from label control during the WD period, and since then they've evolved so fast it's hard to keep up.

If I ran into them in L.A. and they told me they were from Monterrey, I would probably think they meant Monterey, CA not Monterrey, Mexico. Didn't I see somewhere that they had to work with their mom on some of the Spanish lyrics when they wrote in their "native" tongue?
Please understand, I just like Band-Maid a little more than TW. All of these girls are incredible musicians and I support all of them, buying songs and watching their music and videos. I love both bands and want to see them both in person ASAP, but if I had to choose only one, it would be BAND-MAID.

The fans have nicknamed it the “Maid Waltz”, but I’ve never heard any official name for it. They have a few different variations and they use it to open all of their shows.
