I live in Baltimore and last weekend some thugs tried to steal a Johns Hopkins doctor's vehicle on his way to work at 8:30am. The doctor was able to flee in his car, but was shot at and injured. Now talk about ironic -- this doctor works in the trauma department at Hopkins and one day will probably wind up sewing back together the thug who shot him!!

I just finished watching Season One of The Wire. Those ghettos in Baltimore are insane. I remember a few years back when the Hood burned down their own neighborhoods because they hated cops. Are the cops still avoiding going down into that hell-hole?

A law prohibiting someone with a criminal record from having and possessing a gun is apparently on the books yet these guys violated that law. Does someone trace back how these guys got the guns and does anyone else get arrested for providing them with guns and for, presumably, not doing a background check? Let's hope they aren't let out of jail on a low, low bail amount.

Criminals dont buy their guns in a local sport store, they buy fully auto in the streets where no background check will ever be needed. Gun laws dont work against criminals. they just make it harder for people that follow the law to protect ourselves from criminals.

It was seen in the hands of victim Joshua luchessk just four hours before the shooting when him and his decade old friend Smiley were posting Facebook live videos with their guns talking about how they were gonna go downtown looking for rival gang members from Starz which is what the other two victims were affiliated with.
Defund the police and let convicted criminals back on the streets despite what prosecutors say, we will continue to deal with this violence.
Defund the justice system until they can figure out how to have trials in 30 days, and carry out executions following the guilty verdict . No way that is going to happen these aholes want to pass more anti gun laws.

Used to work Nightclub Security while going to college in downtown Sacramento from 2008-2011. There were some shootings, but not as frequent or crazy as the last few years. I like to go to some establishments out there, but yeah, usually head home around midnight.

According to what I have heard, there is no conclusive evidence that the Death Penalty is a natural deterrent for combatting crime but in cases like this, I think that we should give it a try!

Geniuses. Life in prison for any individual carrying a firearm without proper credentials and /or license. This might help.
I work with inmates around the country teaching life skills and reintegration back into society via correspondence and phone calls. What I have to say is that there are inmates who have worked hard to turn their lives around and many more who won't change their patterns of behavior. Governor Gavin Newsome has already signed to have all facilities in California emptied out over these next two years. Do what you can to prepare and protect.
