It's amazing how spot on you seem to be with every team and their needs, I feel like your take on the Tiges is the best yet from all commentators. Lalor, Jagga, Smillie, Hotton with their first 4 picks would be so ideal. If they snare Hynes, Hanneford, Faull, and possibly Dodson/Gerreyn, with their later picks, I can start to see why they won't be trading out.
As a Tiger supporter I’m hoping we go for the gun mids early (Lalor, Jagga, Langford, Reid, Smilie) and then our later picks any 2 of Shanahan, J Whitlock or Dodson I’d be pretty happy. Dodson is clearly the best ruck and he’s been focusing on basketball most of his life. So much upside.
Yeah agree! Mids up front in this draft! Value is later for the forwards. I like Dodson! Rucks can be hit and miss up top but he’s worth the risk with Richmond’s back to back picks
@ Yeah I wouldn’t take a ruck if we only had a couple picks but I think we just have to take him if he’s there around 20/23. Also forgot Bo Allan at 10 or 11 I really like the look of him. Bottom ager with great size and athleticism. If he was Victorian he’d be spoken of more highly.
Huge on Oliver and Mraz with ports second and third pick respectively. Berry looks a lot like a young Robbie gray overhead, would love to see that too. Great content mate, been enjoying the lead up to the draft on your channel
I find Alger very similar to Higgins so I don't think he'd be as necessary. I'd be surprised if St Kilda hold pick 32, but if we do keep it, it depends a lot on what happens at 7&8. Given your picks of Bo/Smillie + Hotton, I'd be going a key forward in Sims or Gerreyn at 32 Great video as always, keep it up!
You are on the money with Reid and Lindsay for West Coast. Would compliment Yeo and Harley. Would be a commentators nightmare Reid handballs to Reid lol
Eagles don't need another Reid. Also, I reckon we have enough small forwards. Cripps Long Brockman Ryan Owies Dewar Hewitt Pettruccelle Graham... or even Baker. Midfield is the massive issue and tall defenders now.
@@joshaldo2502 yeah it’s actually quite possible that happens! Definitely in the mix on talent! Still feel strongly Swans will get a small half forward with atleast one of those picks
Swans are in desperate need for key position depth. Rampe is close to retirement and the forwards aren't working as well as hoped. Small forwards we have Papley and Wicks. Depth in Cleary and Kirk until they build up their tank for more midfield minutes
@@christianhendry7136 Wicks really isn’t up to it, plus he’s very undisciplined. Tom Hanily was drafted as a small forward and has tenacity, so needs a big pre season. I agree Swans need height both forward and back, and another taller, big bodied inside mid …
@ma3stro681 yeah he didn’t have a great year! He did have a bad go with Glandular fever though. I can relate to that and would be worse for your preparation than an injury.
Quality vid as always mate. Personally hoping for 2 of Lalor, FOS, Jagga and Armstrong with 1 & 6. 2 of Tobie, Reid, Hotton at 10 and 11. 18, 20, 23, 24 any combination of Berry, Trainor, Hines, Shananhan, Jonty, the Whitlock twins and maybe Dodson at a stretch - though I wouldn't also mind trading 1 of these picks to a pick in the 30s and banking a future 2025 pick so we can grab Davidson from our VFL side as I doubt he'll slip to the rookie draft!
Great stuff Dylan. It's almost xmas time for us that love the draft. There are whispers amongst wc supporters that Reid is hesitant to move away from Victoria, have u heard anything along those lines?
It definitely is Christmas 🎄😂 I’ve heard rumours about that but nothing more than rumour. I think it’s unlikely but always some risk drafting out of state.
@DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft very true, although for this current eagles team there was no greater risk of home sickness than Harley. The silver lining is the draft capital wc would receive if he did return home to Victoria in the future.
I have heard that Collingwood and Essendon have been linked to Charlie West who should be available in that draft range. The Swans linked to Sam Davidson
As a Bomber, I'm really hoping Essendon come back in for Shanahan, or if Armstrong was to slide. But, Essendon really need another key forward to grow with Caddy.
@@DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft Don't know enough about him. If he was to come on you'd think it'd be in 4, maybe 5 years to really be doing anything, and Caddy is halfway through his career. Also, I'd prefer to have a recognised forward grow with him. Essendon for too long has tried make shift players in positions, instead of recruiting players for the position.
LDU ain't leaving mate. Click bait stories at best. 150% agree with your assessment of North though. Taking Tauru makes too much sense for where North is at, especially if we split pick 2. That said, taking Lalor or FOS instead also screams a need of completion for our midfield. And that's a finite completion too. My preference is Tauru hands down, but if North opt for either one if the two best midfielders in the draft available, then I'm quite content. Alot of talk of Carltons interest in Draper rising of late and if North do take a midfielder, then Carlton will snatch Draper which Adelaides preference is drastically lower as the top 3-4 drops as Smith is the accumulater and Langford or Smillie the slow stronger mids Seriously think Crows come for North's pick 2 and I'm not ruling out Richmond either as their opportunity of having a combination of Lalor/FOS, Lalor/Smith, FOS/Smith or Lalor/Smith is too great of a chance to pass up. Could make their rebuild all the difference fir what's short or long term.
Love your thoughts on Tate Delmenico and Jay Polkinghorne, I've devoured a lot of SA tape on them and I have Delmenico as a top 40 and I've almost got Polkinghorne top 25. Seems most content creators are very Victorian slanted and a lot of the interstater are getting left behind.
