    Hello,
    What are your thoughts on CADISON-3D Plant Design & Equipment Engineering Software? Which software is better for process plant design?

    JUST A COMMENT, ELBOW RL IS A BEND PIPE, AND ELL 90 RL ARE STANDARD 90 ELBOWS IN SPECIFICATION. IF YOU PUT THE FIRST ONES IN THE ISOMETRIC THE LEGEND BEND WILL APPEAR.

    Is it a must that one removes the pipe sizes that you wont be using or that step can be omitted? As it gives a wide range of options... Who knows what will happen later due to some sudden MOCs while on the Job?

      Hi Olayinka, yes agreed, I would filter out the sizes you do not want used while in the Spec Editor to prevent them from being used. Thank you for watching! Nicole Morris|Support Team Lead|KETIV Technologies, Inc.

    So i created a new catalog of equipment (lets say its a Clamp Union with ferrule on it), i used a model i download online and added it to the catalog. I set the "Size parameter" in Catalog Editor as normal but in the drawing tab in Plant 3D when i connect it to the pipe (both were 1 1/2" in size), the Clamp become huge, much much bigger than the size of pipe. So can you tell me what i did wrong? Do i have to scale the Clamp in the model i download (model in AutoCad 3D Plant too) or something? Thank you

    Thanks for the content. Seems so much more user friendly than PDS. 🤣 PDS was revolutionary back in the day, but I'm loving this.

    Very interesting, I know Cadworx and PDMS software and here it's more simple and easy than the others. Many thanks for the time that you spent. :)

    Hi there!
    Can you tell me what graphics card is used to make these plant

    • @TheSmileyTek
      @TheSmileyTek 3 года назад +1

      I see they never answered, but a circa 2014 K2200 4GB DDR5 could probably run Plant 3D no problem. It's just a standard CAD workstation GPU I'd imagine. 2GB to 4GB (preferred) I'd guess. I've used a K620 2GB DDR3 at my job, and it has zero issues. Although, if you're rendering high detailed textures, you'd want a beefier GPU to save some time and stutters (of course). Just my opinion based on my personal experience. Sorry I jumped in. Tech Power Up has excellent resources, as well as OEMs like Dell. I'd take a peek at their current workstation builds for an idea as well. Good luck on the GPU hunt. Some are way overpriced right now, due to the "shortage".

      Thank you Smiley Tek for jumping in here, sorry for the delay in reponse. Yes we prefer the CAD Cards like Nvidia Quadro and AMD FirePro's Here is a list of cards and drivers that have been tested. knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware

      Hi Jesus, you would typically follow a spec sheet from the manufacturer. KETIV | Nicole

    How do you combine grooved pipe with weldable or threaded pipe?

    • @KETIVTechnologies
      @KETIVTechnologies  3 года назад

      Jesus, this would require creating a custom End Connection in the project Setup. See #3 on this document. knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-plant-3d/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-add-new-end-type-in-the-AutoCAD-Plant-3D.html KETIV | Nicole Morris
