As for Christ, I put my faith that an extraordinary man like him lived and died for me. He taught two very important lessons: Love your God and your neighbor with all of your heart. I don't care if you're atheist, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, etc. If everyone followed those two important rules, the world would be well off.
To everyone who is posting about how God doesn't exist, or that they are angry at God for one reason or another, I would say that I understand how you feel. I have felt the same way at times in my life, sometimes very much so. If you truly feel that God doesn't exist I recommend a book to you: The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. The guy was a crime scene reporter who thought his Chirstian wife was nuts and tried to prove her wrong and proved her right instead. It may be the proof you need.

Judgement is about authority, wisdom, and the power to act on what the judge believes. And this kind of judgement is the heaviest humans know: judgement of the soul for eternity. I personally judge christianity to be right and i will be judged by my God for my choice. But I cannot rightly exercise judgement on others, especially when it comes to serious matters such as the conscience of the soul. Therefore, I will not condemn nor praise any other religion because I am not worthy of deciding.

I can see we will not agree. Mainly due to what we understand 'believing' to mean. I understand it to mean we are to love god and our neighbors whole heartedly, and act honorably, justly, yet humbly in all we do. I surmise that belief extends past verbal profession of belief and into how we act and think. If you act justly with love purely from goodness in your heart, I believe that is just as valid as saying "I believe Jesus is the Son of God".

What they learned is that their theology wasn't big enough to allow for innocent suffering, or for a sovereign Creator God to pass on justice to a world that fell far short of his moral standards and design for them. They learned that evil people may seem to prosper now, but that God will certainly bring them to justice.

@DanKleinhenn2012 i know this reply is long in coming but i disagree. this woman's voice has a more celtic feel to it than connie's. also, this arrangement isn't 'pop' like in anyway, its smooth and hypnotisizing.

Judgement is about authority, wisdom, and the power to act on what the judge believes.
And this kind of judgement is the heaviest humans know: judgement of the soul for eternity. I personally judge christianity to be right and i will be judged by my God for my choice. But I cannot rightly exercise judgement on others, especially when it comes to serious matters such as the conscience of the soul. Therefore, I will not condemn nor praise any other religion because I am not worthy of deciding.
@SgtRock57 Do not be arrogant and think highly of yourself while rebuking others. Let God pass judgement. It is abominable to be prideful (proverbs 16:5), and we are called to not dominate over the flock, but to be examples for them (1Peter 5:3). This means not holding yourself above anyone. We are all equal
I can see we will not agree. Mainly due to what we understand 'believing' to mean. I understand it to mean we are to love god and our neighbors whole heartedly, and act honorably, justly, yet humbly in all we do. I surmise that belief extends past verbal profession of belief and into how we act and think. If you act justly with love purely from goodness in your heart, I believe that is just as valid as saying "I believe Jesus is the Son of God".
@sirensbane17 No offense, but I feel like I'm missing nothing. You know that feeling you get when God or Jesus is in your presence, that is the SAME feeling I get when listening to a song like this; or when I look upon a beautiful sunset, or reflect on the billions of animals that had to die in order for me to exist, or the fact that the atoms of which I'm made of, came from a dying star. (I'm not trying to be rude or deconvert) I'm just saying, no need to pray or pity. :)

@SamWiseGingy read Job, Ecclesiastes and Lamentations, if you want. Your critique of God is not new. Even the biblical writers were very honest with their doubts of God. What they learned is that their theology wasn't big enough to allow for innocent suffering, or for a sovereign Creator God to pass on justice to a world that fell far short of his moral standards and design for them. They learned that evil people may seem to prosper now, but that God will certainly bring them to justice.
I go on to contemplative Christian music videos on youtube to (presumptuously) insist on how science somehow justifies my repudiation of religion, which I disparagingly call mythology. Who doesn't?
I don't think you can find jesus. He has to find you. And then it's all a matter of whether or not you accept him in your life.
