Great videos! Recently, I chose to break free from the people-pleasing habit and my excessive involvement in others' problems and lives. I've come to the realization that I am not as important to my loved ones as I once thought. However, I'm working on embracing that reality and staying true to myself, no matter what.

I felt so identified with your story Najwa, and I absolutely loved the call to action on the three groups of relationships in my life, how much water do they give me and how much I give them. This episode is a masterpiece ❤ I dedicated 5 years on medical school until I realized that I was so unhappy and that in my moments of weakness and darkness nobody was there for me, so I decided to change my career and do something that was best for me, and now I'm near to my goal of been a professional in something I love, plus been happy with my life. So thank you for saying that sometimes quitting is winning, my heart and my soul felt like you were giving me a big hug for been this brave. Thank you both for your words and wisdom❤

I keep hearing how one’s being affected by the words of others depends on the person themselves, and hurt is just in our minds, but try convincing your body and brain of that when the closest person to you is the one hurting you on a daily basis. I know it logically, it helped back then, but the pain remained unbearable.
Choosing the environment we nurture ourselves in is a more attainable goal for us normal humans with normal control over our feelings.
I was in a dark room, and was never allowed to shine “don’t be yourself, it might hurt me”, “don’t tell me this it makes me feel like I’m lazy”, “you always diagnose me, you make me feel like something is wrong with me”, everything was an insult, and my setting boundaries and caring for myself were abuse, selfishness and acting the victim.
Not sure how it went from me saying I feel unheard sometimes in the relationship to me being accused of being hurtful, the only one to ever say something like that…..
The moment I was out of that relationship, I felt like I was much better, soon after, I returned to being my normal, bright, not so depressed self, and every following interaction with that person just reminded me of how bad it was.
At the time however, I couldn’t see how much I was hurting, or how small I’ve become.
