Wow, what an artistic drum cover. Closed-handed, open-handed, various stick tricks - and at the same time fantastic drumming on the spot. This is great cinema for the eyes and ears, what you are doing here. I am very impressed. Big respect, man!
Thank you Thomas! Tommy Lee has a way of putting on a show like no other drummer I know. This is a big part of my style that I have learned from him over the years. It’s never boring to watch him play! Cheers
So, the first cover of yours I saw was Wild Side not more than five minutes ago and it was THE BEST cover on RUclips. I thought to myself this guy should cover my favorite Crue song Primal Scream so I decided to check out your channel and low and behold, to my utter amazement, not 2 days old, here it is! Talk about timing, eh?! Something tells me the drum gods pointed me in your direction. And again, THE BEST cover of this tune on RUclips, simply stunning!!
Hey thanks Steve! I always like the challenge of playing the drum and percussion parts together. This song has such a heavy beat I couldn’t pass it up! Thanks for checking it out 👍
He was definitely one of the first drummers that really liked too!! I remember on my one speaker cassette deck blasting Shout at The Devil and Looks to Kill!! Way back in 1983!! Awesome cover Mike it sounds great and your playing is always spot on!!\m/!!
Very well almost identical to the original grooves and fills of study ... Drumdog could you share the lines that you use recording terms? Are you using a Roland td20 module, a computer and some program to record on a computer and one to mix audio and videos? It would be interesting if you could describe those lines of recording and editing ... everything, I thank you in all ways. regards...
OMG HOMIE!!!! You are the man Michael, this kicked so much A@@. This video would make anyone who sees it want to play drums. Those spins are sick and how you catch them cymbals is off the chain. Love the head hit you did near the end!!!😁😁 The huge flip at the end was a sweet touch! I was waiting for your kit to start spinning upside down. Hands down best drum cover I have heard of this song!! Michael have a wonderful Sunday and week ahead brother!👊✌️
Yeah man I had so much fun bashing this one out! Tommy’s style is always so energetic you can’t help but rock it loud!! Thanks for the props Steve. Go Pats!!
Once again you’re playing the songs like a pro my friend. Killer of video, awesome chops, huge kick arse drum kit sound… And it looks like you’re having an awesome time brother smashing those drums. Loved it from beginning to end. Cheers Paul
That was an INCREDIBLE cover to watch. So much energy and enjoyment. Particularly liked the knocking on the head towards the end. FANTASTIC!! I found you through your Queensryche covers from a few years back. Subbing. Keep it up, bro. You're fantastic!!!!
First off, I really like your setup. Second, you nailed the song - well done! The only critique I have is the sound quality - at times there is some distortion. Other than that - frickin' awesome.
Thank you Mark! Yeah I like it loud but sometime I overdrive the recording as my engineering skills are still a bit lacking…I am always trying to get the mix just right. Should have gone to audio school instead of video 😂
Exactly! On Vdrums you can program the head and rim to be two different sounds essentially doubling the amount of instruments you can play. It’s very convenient!
Primal Scream is Tommy Lee's best composition and you nailed it
Tru dat!!
Wow this guy is very good.that td20x is still a great drum module.i just picked one up and I am really liking it.
vincent fallacaro how much is it? Still going good?

To-20 expanded. Stereo outs to a DAT recorder. No software. Mix stereo track to original track on Reaper. Then video edit with Corel Videostudio 2018
mfournier01 Many thanks Michael...
NICE !!
Rocking as always!!!
Man I just commented on your other video but your channel keeps getting better and better. Great cover
Thanks for stopping by! I play mostly 80’s and 90’s.

Onexof the five greatxsongs from mötley crüe
Awesome job! You kept yourself busy during the chorus with the ride, cowbell, and hi-hat chokes; most people would of left out the cowbell.
How can you forget the cowbell? 😂 thanks for watching my friend!

Very very very good
That’s the most “Very’s” you’ve ever given me! Thanks!!
Ok. This guy is good.
Solid...
A+:)
Awesome!! How is the same pad a cowbell and a tom? Can you program the rim to be a different sound or something? Not familiar with electric kits...
Exactly! On Vdrums you can program the head and rim to be two different sounds essentially doubling the amount of instruments you can play. It’s very convenient!
🤘Nailed It 🤘
👏👏👏👏 💪🇦🇷
Great job. Where can I get the drumless track for Primal Scream? Can't seem to find it anywhere.
This is not a drumless track. I am playing over the original!
Wow...even more impressive. Not one beat different. Perfect overlay. Well done.
@@jasonamello385 Thanks Jason. I do many covers trying to mimic the original performance!
Can you pls play the cover for Black Sabbath-Die Young
Monter song. Monster cover drummer
what model is that roland? mine don't have a cow bell on the tom rim?
Me cambio la forma en que veía a las baterías eléctricas, suena hasta mejor y es una roland que no son de las mejores.
The Roland TD-30 is one of the best modules for versatility and durability! You just need to take the time to learn how to create the sounds
@@mfournier01 I am impressed i always rely on acoustics but i think going to take a chance on electronics. Witch one you recomend?
Is this slowed down?
Not to my knowledge. I played over it on Spotify
