So it's actually possible to add disks of different sizes to the existing pool !!

This feature is much better than the Hardware RAID, I had many hardware arrays that failed and never rebuilt proeprly, because the controller does not work as expecetd or goes bad for no reason and very slow. HARDWARE RAID IS DEAD !
