I am 2 hours from Coushatta, I would love to come meet Yvan and Jamie when Yvan comes to the SWAMP. Hate Eddie lives so far lol, I talk to him more than most of my friends 😂😂
Excellent q&a. I plan on putting together a mockup version of a customizable interior detailing caddy in the near future. Edit to add if anybody has any items/ideas they think would be a good idea for the caddy itself drop them below.
Love these deep dives, no one I’d rather learn a certain topic from. My question is.. is it safe to put pads in the washing machine or is it better to only wash them with the Lake Country 4000 pad washer?
Haha thanks for the accidental shout on PIR! Once I get through pressure washers, I will be making a video on PIR 🤙. AMI and Detailed Garage have a TON of great videos and resources.
Your video on foam cannons goes right along with the PIR theme. I'm not sure that Jeff realized what he has started. Great the he pulled Keav in to compare some numbers. For me, PIR was simply a way to convert from dilution ratio to a percentage, as that is basically how the Griot's BOSS metering system works. It was great to get confirmation that pre-diluting thicker soaps to lower their viscosity to be compatible with the metering system is perfectly acceptable. I'm pretty confident that I've worked out the math to quantify the change in PIR that comes along with this pre-dilution. As we talked, it simply is a percentage of a percentage. In my viscosity video, I had 1.0 oz soap to 0.5 oz water... 1.0/1.5 = 0.67 (67% soap). In my system, the aqua tip puts out 2.13% PIR with 100% soap. With 67% soap, the PIR drops to 1.4% (2.13x0.67 = 1.4). Now to put all of this together in a practical demonstration. Sneak peek for a 2025 video series.
Awesome Awesome Q&A!! Thanks Yvan, best of luck with the legal battle and looking forward to 2025! Great to hear about Sylvie working on her own channel en français, très intéressant!
Thank you so much for the Q & A! These help me to learn a lot. Yvan, is there a recommended speed when using the Red Jeweling Pad on a 21mm DA with Gold Standard Polish to finish?
When are the new diy cordless da and rotary being released? Is there any thoughts on the adapters to be able to use Milwaukee or other brand batteries , similar to the adapters like scan grip uses? The whole battery architecture and more chargers is a real thing- the struggle is real
Yvan- could you do a RUclips video on coating a guitar? I have a bass and would love to coat it with hydro lite. Maybe you could foam rinse foam first😂
Hey if you want someone to manufacture the Lacroix Cruser in the UK (shipment from USA could be crazy) try contacting Carbon Collective or CarScope. Either might do a collab with you..? 🤷♀️
Thanks for the mention, Yvan. I enjoy Deep Diving into subjects. Your insight helps to breakdown and simplify the subject matter. Here's a link to the panel impact ratio video that you referenced: Dilution Ratio vs Panel Impact Ratio ruclips.net/video/gW6PU1GakQ4/видео.html

Excellent, keep us in the loop.
Awesome Q&A!
Love these deep dives, no one I’d rather learn a certain topic from. My question is.. is it safe to put pads in the washing machine or is it better to only wash them with the Lake Country 4000 pad washer?
Washing machine is fine, cold water, but air dry. With a pad washer it’s not necessary
Awesome Q&A.
It flew by.
Thank you for watching!

Very nice. 🎄

At what age did you learn to polish and ceramic coat a vehicle? Thanks Yvan!
Polishing I started at 12, ceramic coating in 1998
Thanks for all the great information
Thank you.
Excellent podcast Yvan
Thanks Jeff
Nice livestream 🎄🎄🎄
Thank you Humberto!!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
great rapid fire Q&A. I know the red jeweling pad was designed for the rotary but does it work well with a da for finishing
Thank you for watching.
The red pad works very well with the DA.
One of my go too pads.
Yes, it works great
Great show yet again
Awesome Awesome Q&A!! Thanks Yvan, best of luck with the legal battle and looking forward to 2025! Great to hear about Sylvie working on her own channel en français, très intéressant!

Hello, thanks for the Q&A. I learn a lot from them. Q: are you able to polish a vinyl wrap?
Yes
Thank you so much for the Q & A! These help me to learn a lot.
Yvan, is there a recommended speed when using the Red Jeweling Pad on a 21mm DA with Gold Standard Polish to finish?
Thank you for watching!
I would say speed 2-3 should get you taken care of.
@@thesamsquatch5224 you the goat Samsquatch thank you
@@makaliiomori9296 thank you but not even close 😂.
I’ve got a long way to go to hit that list.
Let me know if you need anything.
Thanks, speed 2-3
@@diydetailofficial Thank you!
Great video. Are the cordless polisher batteries compatible with other tool brands.
Makita
Thumbs up for THOR!!!
An awesome podcast
Thanks for your help.
When are the new diy cordless da and rotary being released?
Is there any thoughts on the adapters to be able to use Milwaukee or other brand batteries , similar to the adapters like scan grip uses?
The whole battery architecture and more chargers is a real thing- the struggle is real
In March. We use a Makita battery, so adapters are readily available
Yvan- could you do a RUclips video on coating a guitar? I have a bass and would love to coat it with hydro lite. Maybe you could foam rinse foam first😂
DIY Detail Panel Prep then coat.
Sheep-nye the Science Guy! Bill Bill Bill Bill!
FYI not reading the question makes the video unusable for those of us who just listen

Could not make it to the Q&A. just one question. when to expect the corded polishers to be purchased in europe?
March

Thank you.
Do you make it to oregon, would love to get to a class
I can, organize it and I’ll come
Should I wait to install my 5/3 stack or will the new coating be worth the wait?
No need to wait
How many cordless polishers do you guys have coming out and what sizes?
25mm DA, and Rotary. We have thousands of each.
Missed it live but this was a good episode.
Thank you.
Great chat! What is the best way to care for/clean the legacy sponge?
If using DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash, simply rinse in water and dry.

Thank you!
