My strategy is to collect five fishing rods and then drive around in a car till the very end and then throw my fishing rods at the final players shooting at me. Its great when someone kills me from afar, then they run over to my loot pile and its five god damn fishing rods. This play style amuses me much more then trying to win.
I find moving from fight to fight and trying to stay in combat helps, if I do hide or play more passive/looting then I find my reactions get tight and I get anxious and mistakes come. Also once the player count gets sub 10 I stop looking at it until I die or get the victory, this helps with performance anxiety.
The point you made about fighting the invisibility medallion earlier because there is more room to reset the fight is something I've never considered. Definitely pressing these guys earlier so I can stop dying to them in the end game.
I’ve done better in endgame after being more aggressive when it’s down to top 5. I try and third party fights instead of waiting. Helps take out the aggressive good players and I have a better chance when it’s me and some who has been laying low
I’m the type that loses the endgame because of my nerves taking over. I started playing reload and just play to kill helped my nerves when playing BR. I’m able to control my nerves and think strategically, gather information etc…
I use to be like this back in Ch1 Season 2 when I started and I had a bunch of second place but only one solo win that I sniped from pretty far. Anyway, now I can get at least one win every day or every 7-10ish games…? Just breathe. That’s my trick. Breathe and get used to breathing/ relaxing when there is 25 or less people left. EVEN IF YOU LOSE, practice breathing and relaxing in the last few fights before you do and it will help. TLDR; Breathe. It’s fortnite. Not a real war 😅
Personally how I've found to fight the invisibility medallion is to just lurk on them since you know where they are- and just beam them from your lurk with how lethal the holo twister is and just jump on them to clean it up. You have to initiate the fight with surprise because if they initiate on you you'll just lose
I like your style compared to most other Fortnite YT content creators. To the point and mature. Some people try to be cool and force their emotions and reactions. Keep up the good work I appreciate your skills :)
I probably have twice as many second places in solos than I do wins, I always find new ways to choke the last fight or two. Dying early is more upsetting to me, if I come second usually I played well and had fun in the match. Dying first makes it feel like a missed opportunity.
What (I think) you’re trying to say Jake is eliminating a LOT of players quickly means the end game will be in an early rather than a late storm, making bigger play area.
Yeah he always mentions this and it’s so true. I’ve found it alot harder finding players, compared to chapter 5. All the medallions made it easier because everyone was contesting them and the bunkers. I sometimes third party Demon’s Dojo and there is not a single soul there and the boss is untouched 😭. I prefer chapter 6 so much more but everyone is a lot more spread out compared to chapter 5.
Let them get sort of close range to you and spray an SMG to the head, as it might be harder to connect with multiple shotgun shots. Keep Impulses as well to launch them and buy you time.
Out of all my zero build games that I have played, 3/4 of my games are from me either dying to a typhoon blade spammer or dying off spawn. It's super annoying + the typhoon blade needs to be nerfed. If Fortnite gets rid of this weapon, I would probably win a lot more of my games that I am playing.
@@MarksGamePlayPage That is actually a pretty good strategy because if you get spammed you can shockwave out, create some distance and might be able to finish the fight
Thanks Jake! Great tips as always. Key for me is fight the good players as soon as you can. as you rightly said if you lose better that its 5mins in rather than waste 20mins in a match and esier to fight, reposition etc when you dont have a tiny zone to deal with.
Well Jake, I have been implementing these tips now for a couple days. Funny, All I needed to be told was to “play my life in end game.” Until watching this, I didn’t put it together that W keying everyone, even in endgame is what kept getting me third partied… my win rate lately has gone up significantly.
I feel like it has a lot to do with relaxing and just taking your time. I find myself winning the games that I’m relaxed playing not even really trying to win just playing to have fun versus. I’ve had games where I’ve had it both medallions and got marked by somebody I was better than lol it’s like when I’m trying to win I can’t, but when I’m just playing to have fun I start getting my wins
This games all about timing. You can be a medium skill player but if u get the drop on the last player right after they are done fighting u can win very easily
Of course, but that only goes so far. You have to improve your combat skill. Otherwise eventually you will become stale and lose against anyone skilled because you're just winning off of 3rd partying once their health is low.
Spot on...I found that if I kill 10 plus and win the island I win. If I lose the island and am forced to flee my chances of winning drop below 50%. I can only beat the invisibility from distance and that usually 3rd party or just getting lucky by being in the right place at the right time...very rare
I'm not very strong but I can do a bit, I always found myself arriving 2-10 in position because I never understood how to manage the endgame. This video is fantastic.
truly informative video, thank you so much! need to re-visit your "how to deal with katanas" videos. also figured out, that i need to rase look my sensitivity and low ads sensitivity
The invisibility medallion is the most annoying thing to go against in the final 2. Especially with the sword. I like to keep the car as long as possible and aggro them with it at the end chipping away at shield until they get angry and full push me hopefully making a mistake.
Im actually getting better and better. And it's much due to following Jake over the years. The sword is a hassle though. But the one tip that helped me most is to play more aggressive in the beginning. Rather die first than being the first looser (2nd place).
just have a sword, that's the key to victory right now. the amount of people ive killed due to fall damage from absolutely home running them off a hill or mountain, oh my.
I keep panicking when there's multiple people in one area and I don't remember which button to press and end up switching to my chug splash or some shit LOL! I've only started playing this couple weeks ago and I'm 37 so getting used to how fast paced this game can be it's real easy to panic at the end or in the middle of a big battle. With all your tips though I've managed to get 11 wins so far in just over 100 matches so about a 11% win rate not sure if that's decent given I'm new at this.
Same here, relatively new, and relatively old (35). I have thrown many cabbages at people, swung my pickaxe menacingly at someone across the street.... remembering how the controls work is hard!
The most tilting way to lose is in a situation that you shouldn’t have. Got second last night after a shockwave glitch left me stranded to get melted 😭
I’m always surprised you don’t mention reloading and healing while in a passenger seat. Super safe comparatively, getting in to reload keeps you out of sight too.
Hi @Evolve Jake please talk about using sprites to get loot and also talk about the wind boon, it gives faster sprint and people seem to be sleeping on it , it’s op
nah getting a very high placement is 100x more tilting because you know you played bad and died super early, esp as we get later into the season. at least getting second means you were putting in the work and skill to get that far
For me, I always forget to look up player count near end-game. SO OFTEN it will be 2 people left, and I push the last person without building or protecting and then realize I'm #2, because I was too aggressive on the last player. Whoops! However, when I know 2 people are left, I'm way more methodical
The most difficult part for endgame for me is when someone has a blade. I have shockwaves to get them or me away but eventually circle gets too small. Suggestions?
Whenever someone comes running at me with the typhoon blade, I just give up. Have a cup of tea or do a little macarena if I have enough time... I cannot win against them so I'd rather just do a funny dance instead.
I chock all the time. I try hard to finish at least 5th. If i get a good start, Im 10 to 15 kills by 3nd game. My problem is not knowing even with a tower how to down but keep moving. I guess knowing zone. It drives me crazy.
I actually have better luck with solo endgames rather than squad. I don’t think it’s necessarily that I’m better…it’s more like the chaos is easier to control with one or two (hirling or third party) factors to control and manage. Do you have tips for how to better manage team games?
I don't know why i get nervous at the end of a game. I am 9 now and I compete in martial arts and I am confident with this but at the end of each game and especially if I'm wearing a crown 👑 I seem to go off on one.
My duo and I finish Top 2 most of the time..and thats because everyone alive resorts to spamming the sword forgetting about the rest of their loadout to be used.
I don’t want to be a complainer but 3rd Partying and the Typhoon Blade are genuinely starting to get on my nerves. I love this Season, I’m like level 176 or something like that, but it can get real annoying sometimes.

I honestly choke my endgames due to getting third partied or to a sword users.
Same!
Whomp whomp
I am the greatest sword user muahahahaha
@@lukadebeljak8186not really a hard thing to know how to use..
If you win a fight, leave right away, and use shock waves to send the sword users away, even if they comeback, they'll have less stamina
I’ve done better in endgame after being more aggressive when it’s down to top 5. I try and third party fights instead of waiting. Helps take out the aggressive good players and I have a better chance when it’s me and some who has been laying low
Endgame is soley swords, masks, shockwaves, and 3rd parties
This is why the OG mode is better. No gimmicks.
Endgame is where I'm randomly in an uninhabited city, and someone floats down, knows exactly what house I am in and beams me.
The sword and invinc metal ruined chapter 6 for me, its the only thing i disgust

I agree 100 percent
i usually get bored of the endgame being slow and play aggro and not caring about the result
I always choke these so thanks for the advice. Love your vids.
What has helped me is playing a lot of team rumble. Multiple fights over a short period of time, practice makes perfect.
Rumble is my favorite place to practice!!...While getting gold lol!

Thanks for the video, very useful 😊
I'd love a vid about strategies at end game when, despite doing the things, you end up down below your opponent ( bottom of mountain, cliff, etc.)
In squads just get bunks and holos with meds with 2 playerrs with a sword 2 with shotgun for when they charge your bunk in end game.
