Great hack! Been using ceramic wax on my vehicle paint for just over a year and very impressed, so I'll definitely being treating the toilets the same. On older toilets, rust or calcium stains often originate in the toilet tank. Draining the tank and cleaning with a product like CLR will clean the interior of the ceramic tank. A ceramic wax coating should aid inside the tank also.

I was so excited to see the video and really hope it would work. Unfortunately, i got a brand new 1-week old toilet and tried to apply 3 coats of Turtle Wax for ceramic spraying coating all the way to the end of the bowl, and followed everything to the T. It does work to prevent the water from sticking to the bowl (so minimize water stains) but that's about it. Shixx still sticks to the bowl and i still need to clean the toilet bowl regularly.

AWESOME!!! One would still need to mist a disinfectant inside and round the rim of the toilet and either use wipes or spray and paper towel the to dry off, I would say spray the disinfectant everywhere then dry the rim and then the seat and then flush and do this once a week unless something major happens, thus keeping the kamode disinfected except for the rim and seat which should be done once a day especially if big family.
This ceramic coating will help keep it from becoming nasty for longer periods of time.

ETA 4 months later: This seemed to be the perfect solution to the hard water toilet ring and general mess, but unfortunately, I have to clean the toilets just as often and now I have the problem that I can't use pumice to get the ring off because I don't want to scratch the coating and make an even bigger (non-fixable) mess. So I guess I have to just let it wear off. Is there a way to remove this coating?
After watching your fabulous how-to that brought this product to my attention and this use, I tried it first on a sink and WOW!!! We use homemade toothpaste with clay and coconut oil and what a MESS it makes twice a day! And your hack WORKED ON IT, the SINK IS CLEAN with just a rinse!
It's only been a few days, but the result was so amazing I just did 2 of our 3 toilets. We have hard well water and those are always a mess, too, so I'm really looking forward to the result.
(By the way, I used a soft "Johnny mop" that I use to clean the toilets to plunge out the water)

Will this product help with this effort? On another note, I have a metal spot showing in my porcelain tub. It appears where the anti-slip process failed. Rust appears as water does not drain off. I am currently not using the tub so it stays dry. Other than replacing the tub, do you have any ideas.
