    he is right actually. a lot of you are consumed by hate for the muslim religion(i am buddhist) but the truth of the matter is, islam have been the religion of most people in Mindanao way before Magellan came to Cebu and then the spaniards conquered our country and changed our religion to Catholicism. imagine, put yourself in their situation, you were doing well just living a good simple life, and these spaniards came want to change your religion, way of life and even your names, what are you going to do? of course you're going to rebel. after 50-60 years of war, there's still no end to this. and Duterte is the only candidate that has a plan for unity and peace in mindanao. the BBL(bangsamoro basic law) didn't work the alternative is Federalism. Federalism is the only plan the people in Luzon agrees, the NPA agrees, the MNLF and MILF both agrees. Duterte is smart, he knows we can't fight these rebels forever, so we need peace talks with them. federalism is the only solution for now

    • @pacnation4531
      @pacnation4531 8 лет назад +4

      usa came to the islamic countries in middle-east and bomb the shit out of them, whos really barbaric? anyway thats besides the point. the point and truth is. we cant fight these rebels forever, we've been fighting them 50-60 years, nothing is happening, and we need peace, and unity, otherwise we'll just continue wasting resources and most importantly, lives. duterte has the leadership to unite us. he can openly talk to the leaders of these rebels even though he's been criticized for being friendly with the enemy. the thing is, most politicians here are just more concerned about their image rather than getting the job done.

    • @Reeferman420NL
      @Reeferman420NL 8 лет назад

      "They" did the same in Europe, only millennia earlier, all the way to Iceland, Scotland and Scandinavia. Teaching any religion or knowledge that wasn't part of the officially recognised, and deemed as truth, version was risking your life. Anybody that dared speak of and practice astrology was thrown in a lake or river with stones tied to their body. If they were a witch they should float, despite the stones, if the person drowned they were proven innocent, and God will welcome them in heaven.
      But what makes this extremely outrageous is that fact that Christianity, New Testament especially, is an allegory for a astrological/astronomical phenomena. Any they knew high up.

    • @pacnation4531
      @pacnation4531 8 лет назад +1

      and the muslim rebels in Mindanao isn't trying to conquer any christian lands, in fact the opposite has been done to them, and historical justice aside.. the government in emperial manila seem to have forgotten them, the capital manila doesnt allocate enough funds to Mindanao and that's why there is rebellion there. Duterte only wants peace with the muslim rebels, he doesn't want to spread islam in the whole country, he is a catholic himself, the only thing he realizes is that we cant fight the muslim rebels forever, they want to have their own kind of caliphate that's why they proposed the BBL, but duterte himself said it's impossible so he presents a change to federalism instead as an alternative and they all agree

    It is good though that you do not blame BBM like most of the anti-Marcos groups. Sadly, Cayetano does not even realize this so instead of a Duterte-BBM tandem, we have the Duterte-Cayetano as the official tandem so Leni might even win as the VP. Personally, I like Leni but I am wary about her relationship with Noynoy and the LP. Noynoy is the most divisive president so far so I am glad to hear that Duterte wants to have healing and unity just like what BBM said. Cayetano tends to be divisive and should have been a prosecutor.

      banzski I have nothing against Leni. Personally, I like her. It is the LP that I do not like. I am not an emotional voter. And for me, BBM has a good track record as an executive. Whoever wins the VP position is acceptable to me. What is important is to start nation building as soon as possible because years of discord has slowed down the country's progress. We should start having a shared destiny as a country.

    Misuari, a badass supporting another badass (Duterte). "The fault of the father cannot be inherited by the son. Neither the father cannot be accused of the wrongdoings of his son." Straightforward Mindanaoan Muslim coolness.

    The Manili massacre refers to the mass killings of 65-79 Moro Muslims, including women and children committed in a mosque in Manili, Carmen, North Cotabato, Philippines in June 19, 1971. The Ilaga
    militant group was suspected to be behind the attacks but there were
    also allegations that the Philippine Constabulary were also behind the
    incident and collaborated with the Ilaga.
