@@stacyjd2759 When you say "international mall style"...what's the real difference between what Whitter Village offers and what you have in mind? I'm very curious.
With all these big, beautiful homes, the community could come together and fix the road. Or, form something call home owners association, where owners pay a fee every month. That'll will allow them to maintain the community.
That's the last thing they need. City just need to do their job. Home owners association are the worst and the whole point of living in a free home instead of an entire gated community is to avoid those like the plague. Road have a ministry that to deal with it already the neighborhood only need to band together and pressure the city to allocate the funds and contract to get it done.
I hate to say it; the Jamaica’s government need to take some lessons from the American government when it comes to taxes. America tax you based on the size of your houses, so the rich pay more in taxes For their very large houses. The Jamaica’s government tax people based on the lot size, so the rich person and a poor person paid the same amount in property taxes. With the Jamaican tax system, the government will never have enough money to fix the roads. I am saying this because I would love to buy a retirement house in ironshore, but I am looking at the entire community including the roads. This is very disappointing! Public roads are the responsibility of the of the government. Many of these houses are from foreign investors that can afford extra money in property taxes and don’t mind paying it if they get better roads. Trying to rent a vacation home in neighborhoods with crappy roads is very difficult.
Welcome to Mobay, Jamaica
Too bad you didnt make the left turn at that white arched wall near the end of the drive to see the progress of the new dream 36 condominium building
All Jamaica needs is a super mall where people can go shop eye shop eat and have fun a frist world mall
