I know this is an old video but I desperately need some help. For some reason when I get to the delete path part under shape builder it doesn't create the transparent gap I need.

I did excatly the same but when i press preview or ok the background of the letters becomes so big what is my mistake plz? Or there is something in the settings that i should do thank you very much
