It is frustrating when it feels like others cannot respect our independence or success, especially when we are putting in the effort to do things on our own. The reference to Black Wall Street is powerful, showing how envy and sabotage can undermine hard work and progress. People often do not see the blood, sweat, and tears behind the work, and instead of supporting, they tear down what others have built. It is a reminder that persistence and unity are important, even when faced with negativity.

Sadly these neighbors have a hostile relationship. This type of conflict is not unique to inter-racial relationships.
That 'Black Wall Street' reference has extracted far more value than the actual property value and economic outcomes of the actual place.
If I told you: "3 years of 'Devils Night' in Detroit - early 1970s had done more damage to property in the black community - than did 'The Destruction Of Black Wall Street' 100 years ago - you would say what?
What about the black people who we see on TV locally, fearing about their living in close proximity to their 'Neighbor's Black Sons'?

Hold on a second? Black wall street? Let's go back to 1654 when Anthony Johnson won in court to own slaves . Because Blacks owned slaves as well. Anthony Johnson was a wealthy Black businessman! Then go back to North African Muslims who started the Pacific slave trade! Slavery is still going on in 2025! Funny how Blacks called Trump a racist and he isn't! Let's all get along in 2025 ! God bless Trump 2025

I told a forest management young man helping to clear our new homestead two years ago, that I planned to fence just to "here" (pointing to a spot before a creek). He asked how much property was there. I told him and pointed out the lines. He politely said, ""Ma'am, I have been a hunter nearly all of my 22 years. If there is a fence, I do not climb over. If there is no fence, I hunt." Processing that, I told my husband that we needed to fence in the 22 acres. It was a big chunk out of savings, but everyday I am glad we did and I always credit that young man's point of view told to me honestly.

@Tiffanysfarm I've lived in Southern Georgia for all of my 44 years. I'm a white man who went to school in a small town where the ratio of whites and blacks was pretty much even. We had no other races in my graduating class. We get along here. We hold the door open for everyone and say yes, sir, and yes, ma'am to everyone. It's disgusting and petty for someone to go out of their way to purposely make your life more difficult for literally no reason. In my neighborhood we connected our backyard privacy fences together and saved a ton of money for everyone. We were hit by Helene and had trees destroy parts of our fences. The next morning 3 of our friendly neighbors and myself worked together to repair the fences and we went yard to yard using chainsaws to cut trees off of people's homes that were badly damaged. This may be a small boring story, but if people would be kind or even friendly to each other, it would make ALL of our lives less stressful and more enjoyable.

Keep CCTV and a dashcam as well as a body camera on at all times. My mom and stepdad do this on their land in Texas because they have dealt with cartel and racist people over the years. My uncle had to shoot a man in self defense in 2009 and he was in jail for 4 months before they decided he was telling the truth. After that we got cameras all over the property. Mom had some women swimming and trashing our part of the river and she told them to leave her property and they got in her face and were shoving her so she pepper sprayed them and walked away and called the police. The women tried to lie on my mother and say she just attacked them for no reason and the cops were believing the white girls but my mom had her body camera on as she pretty much always does and she just put the video on her phone and showed the cops. And that was that and one of the ladies got arrested. Unfortunately as black people in a country full of people that want to see us in chains or behind bars we need to be the most vigilant people in this country we do not have room for mistakes or hoping someone is decent because most people out here are not we have to take care of our selves in all ways

Nope, the Sheriff and his deputy is the actual highest law in the land, as long as that land is the land he was elected by the people to keep the peace in.
You see, police aren't supposed to be only for law enforcement, they are really there for one thing, and one thing only, to keep the peace in their area of jurisdiction. Of course that involves enforcing the local laws, because to enforce laws, promotes peace, but it isn't always the case that enforcing the laws to the letter promotes peace in a community, sometimes it's better to let some victimless crimes slide. For instance, say a cop stops a couple of 17 or 18 year old kids, riding around in a rural area and they are found to be in possession of alcoholic beverages, and maybe have had a bit to drink too. If said cop hasn't had problems out of these teens before (usually cops know the majority of people that live in the area they patrol), instead of arresting these kids and ruining their lives, don't you think it would be better to maybe load them up in the cop car, let them think you're taking them to jail, only to drive them to their homes, march them up to the door and let their parents take custody of them after giving them and their parents a stearn warning. This, in most cases ends the problem, however if the same cop catches the same kids doing it again, then take them to jail. It worked in the area I grew up in. And it worked for me as a young rebellious teen, riding in the back of that cop car and having a cop bring you home to your parents was usually enough to curb that teenage rebellious streak !😊

Ain't no crazy like rural Georgia crazy...and I'm from Florida! Honey, when I first moved to Georgia 18 years ago, I had a hard time making the locals understand that my private property was mine and private. I still have problems with people not respecting property lines, signs, fences, cameras, any of it.
I had squatters move into one of my buildings and they completely destroyed it. The sheriff's office was useless. They cover for their buddies and cannot be bothered by outsiders.
And yeah, I got the resentment and the entitlement too. One woman wanted to bury her Mama in my rose garden that I planted, like she was doing me some favor, and became enraged when I said no. It was right under my baby's bedroom window!
Don't let them intimidate you. Just know they're crazy. Stay vigilant. It will get better eventually.

Dad is from Florida too and he is shocked by some of the really unusual behaviors here. Your experience sounds like a real nightmare though. It must have been incredibly frustrating to deal with all that, especially when it feels like you're up against local norms and unresponsive authorities. You are right. It is good advice to stay vigilant and not let the craziness get to us. Hopefully, with time, Dad and I will find a way to manage these challenges and find some peace.

@@Tiffanysfarm honestly, the tide started to turn when my husband won a seat on the city council. And then I got involved with local community events. The more you become a fixture in the community and the better liked you are the less the crazies feel they have freedom to bully you.
I have written a book about some of the insanity we've had to deal with. I'll publish it one day when my kids are grown.
Georgia Crazy is MEAN. And they're not just mean to newcomers, or being racist (they are racist, too,) I've seen spiteful on a scale I'd never conceived before. One old farmer got so tired of people asking to either take a cutting from a rare and endangered species of fruit tree, or to glean fruit from the ground, that he cut it down and burned it so people would stop asking. This tree was growing outside his fence on the highway.
Eventually, they'll get tired of messing with you when they realize you're not going to be bullied. Odds are if they're doing this to you, they're doing this to other people, too. They're just too afraid to speak up.
I really am sorry you're having to go through this. It seems to be a form of "Welcome to rural Georgia" hazing that they put all newcomers through. Stay strong. Don't let a few stupid rednecks destroy your dream. I'm pulling for you!

I also own property in rural Georgia, and one thing that has been really eye-opening for me is being on the NextDoor app. Even if you don’t actively participate, it definitely gives you insight into the mindsets of the people in the area and on surrounding properties. It’s so ironic that these folks continue to boldly trespass on your land, but if you were to step a toe onto THEIR land, they wouldn’t hesitate to shoot. People out here are suspicious of everything…even workers in clearly-marked vehicles who ring the doorbell, and their solution to 99% of all problems is *“shøøt ‘em”.* And that could be because they know they can get away with it, as so many have and continue to.
I’ve only had one issue with someone coming onto my land, and after seeing her on the camera, I stepped out and said “Can I help you? I saw you on one of my cameras”. She didn’t seem too happy about being confronted, but she also hasn’t been back.

We had a similar issue in 2005 when I and my buddy (both USMC retired) bought 20 acres in N Florida for our hunt camp. It sits in the middle of 200K acres & we had some local hucksters on the 16 acres next to us were pissed we bought it. They hunted it for years. They threatened us on multiple occasions which didn't bother us one bit. We laughed at them which pissed them off even more, lol. They had to pass thru our gate to get to their property & we never denied them passing thru on the easement. They would drive by & stare us down, we just waved & yelled "how's it going" lol. One day when they were all down there at their camp we broke out our AKs, AR's & other firearms and just began blasting away down in the woods. Once they heard all that lead going downrange & they found out we were Marines, they came up & wanted to be friends. We made peace but I still didn't trust them. We put cameras up & caught them snooping around when we weren't there. We just told them hey you never know when you are going to be on candid camera. All their bullshit stopped after that. We later found out they were growing weed down in there. I told our CI that I don't care what they grow as long as it's not on my property. We still have to keep an eye on them. They're a bunch local huckleberries from Monticello FL.

My husband and I bought a small piece of land and AFTER we clear cut by ourselves, had septic a septic put in, ran water lines 300 feet from the main road, and had a power pole put in, several people came to us saying “we were going to to buy this.” First of all, the person who sold us the property lives next door, so apparently they didn’t want them as neighbors. Second, don’t come at with me lame low ball prices after we put our blood, sweat, tears, and thousands of dollars into what was basically a swamp. Which was another several thousand putting in draining ditches, a drain, and building up our driveway on the easement. I’m not one to be pushed around, I’d rather be neighborly, but if I have to stand my ground, then so be it.
    * a couple of weeks ago, a neighbor at the end of the easement came in with a dozer and started taking dirt from my property to put in mud holes that wasn’t on our part of the easement. I went out there and demanded that he stop told me “this is the road to his property and he had a right. So I had to call the sheriff’s office and the jerk ass officer tried to make me think that he did have a right. Um, no sir he has a right to cross the easement in his vehicle, but when he disturbs the ground from my property that isn’t in the 30 foot easement, then he was encroaching.

As retired law enforcement I’m disgusted that someone would say you don’t belong here…YOU do belong here…I do feel strongly that you should not call any federal law enforcement..this current administration does not like private farms..they will report you..I would stick with local law enforcement enforcement..and try to get friendly with a few officers..cameras are a must..real and fake..A dog is a must..keep them outdoors in the daytime..inside at night .they will wake you up..if kept outside at night they may be hurt or poisoned..people will think twice if they see a dog..they work incredibly well..definitely signs..and donkeys are incredible at warning you and other animals from predators of ALL kinds…we need more people like you guys in the world..god bless…

OH MY GAWD! Please be careful. This is my first time viewing your vlogs. I am a property owner and the first thing we did upon moving here was fence it all in and get several big dogs. Only because several men wanted to know what we were doing out here, telling us it is their hunting property. We informed them that we own the property and have for twenty years and that it can be looked up at the local county property appraiser office. That was back in 2007 and we now live on the land. What I can tell you is that the people you are dealing with as we did for some reason think they have special priviliges. They are dangerous because they are not of the right mind. They think no rules apply to them. It is very dangerous times right now with the current political status so be very careful and get some big dogs. We installed a camera system with six cameras that record video and sound that stores on it's own harddrive. Go ahead and put up signs that say, Warning, you are being recorded by survellience camera's all around your property even if you don't have camera's up it may deter them. You can also purchase fake camera's that show a red light as though they are recording. I will put a link of the camera's we are using in reply under this comment. We have had the camera's system for several years with no problems from it. We can even view our place by cell phone if we are away. The ones we have are very affordable. People are crazy and I am so sorry you and your Father are going through this. Stand your ground and never hesitate to call the law. Yes, Wildlife Officers can perform every duty under law enforcement. Stay safe and I will be watching. Great idea on the low cost water catchement system. Wishing you peace and safety. Also get yourself a high powered flashlight so you can shine it back into someone's face and blind them as well if needed. Go ahead and have target practice occasionally so people around you know you are armed.

He is now in jail for defending himself and his family from privileged filth similar to those you speak of. My only recommendation is to sell and find another area friendlier to our kind, our families, to society.

I commend you on your patience. That is a true gift.
We're in NE Texas. Bought a bare 5 acre piece of property in June 2023. Moved out here permanently in February 2024. Our town has a population of 117 souls. Initially we had random people pull onto our driveway & comment they were going to buy the property. The neighbor across the road said this to us as well as the cattle rancher behind us. We live in the Texas prairie so trees are sparse. Besides fencing, I started buying & planting trees. I'm creating barriers all around us. Having people walking on the backside of your property is creepy & would have me on high alert 24/7. I do have 2 large dogs...and they let me know during the daytime if anyone is near. I have goats & we will be getting a donkey this fall. We've been told they are fantastic protectors.
You have reminded me that I need to change my warning signs as they are faded.
I sure like your two rain barrels. I like the set up your Dad did & I LOVE your drip line system. I think I'm going to copy you.
Those people have one goal...intimidation. They are cruel & bullies. And for what purpose? I would get huge spotlights for nighttime. I would have camouflaged cameras on many of the trees...all around at different heights. Who owns the property behind you? Are they indeed trespassing onto another's property?
Stay vigilant. I wish you were our neighbor❤

Bad neighbors are the bane of EVERY society, alas.
Laws vary (Sometimes *HUGELY)* State-to-State, but here's what 'We' did (Oregonistan atm)-
    1) Fenced our land. (You've done this)
    2) Posted 'No Trespassing' signs/legally required length of entire outer perimeter (Separating our private property from theirs/others)
    3) ADD barbed-wire/electric, as deemed necessary. (We had issues with 'Their guests/children' hopping our fences to play/chase our livestock).
    4) ADD 'Guardian Dogs.' (Here's where you must be very careful. Any FOOL trespassing that is BITTEN by them? This is where the 'Law' really helps, or massacres you.)
    5) Notify the P.D./Sheriff Dept., provide dates/times and if you have it (And you do), copies (NEVER hand over your originals! Things have a way of getting 'Lost' in P.D.'s hands.), so there is a report (Multiple), of this happening (This is a great aid to you in the future, when things escalate/get ugly.).
    6) Possibly the most difficult for you/your family (Something 'I' personally enjoyed the HELL out of, but I'm wired that way)- Confront trespassers and execute a 'Citizens' Arrest' on them, HOLD THEM THERE (By force if necessary), while you contact the P.D./Sheriff, to let them know you have intruder(s) on your property that you HAVE ARRESTED and are still DETAINING, and you need them to send out Units to collect the garbage and throw it into a cage. (Kinda rude, but at this point, being 'Nice' hasn't worked, so...)
We had the exact same problem(s) when I moved here, but 'I' don't play those kind of 'FAFO' games with jerks/criminals. As a USMC Veteran, 'I' am also not intimidated by anyone, and I'm more than capable of doing what 'I' deem may be required to stop criminals in their tracks.
Oh, and did I mention I too am a Woman? ;-) Yeah, lots of 'Bad neighbors' were running roughshod over my late, elderly/disabled Land Lords, till I arrived. It took me a few months, but when the riffraff finally understood a new Player had arrived 'They' couldn't scare, and seeing me prepared to deal with them/preserve MY life/safety, visibly on my person, they finally decided to stop. Having six of them arrested, exactly as I described above, sealed the deal.
We've lived in peace/safety, ever since (18 years now).
Long reply, and a royal pain-in-the-tush, no doubt.
Sadly, you cannot reason with a deranged or rabid animal, and some people/neighbors believe THEY have the authority to do whatever the Hell they want on OTHER people's property, w/o consequence.
It's a real shame their parents didn't teach them proper manners and responsibility.
    Now it's societies/our duty.
I wish you and your wonderful family all the best in dealing with this. Never get discouraged, and know that with YOUR perseverance/tenacity, you will eventually teach these parasites to stop messing with you.
    :-)

Almost every day there was someone coming around just to start problems with us. It was a terrible place to live with the threats of burning our house down to having hunters in our front yard to having someone watching our house. Jealousy is a very disturbing emotion to have and it literally drove me to move away. Yes we had police all the time and game wardens but they never helped. I was very young so I just didn't have it in me to stay and fight it out. I now have less than 1 acre but I am surrounded by thousands of vacant land with only one amazing neighbor. I wish people could just respect others and the biggest thing that always got me was how do they have all this time to just harass people? Don't they have a life of their own? I don’t think it’s just racial as it’s also gender. People are resentful of successful single females as well, although it might just intensify the problem if different races exist. I agree with the large dogs and my German Shepherd Dogs have been naturally very protective of me and also territorial, always alert to intruders, both animal and human. Dogs are always my first alert system even in my home as their senses are more acute, even my Siberian Husky barks. All my dogs have been rescues and received no special training to be ‘guard dogs’, but I always feel safer due to their presence.

I was required to post no trespassing, no dumping & security camera signs. Document everything & contact police. Get the written report of your call & also a cd copy. Police need to give the trespassers a verbal notice they'll be arrested the next time. Have had scanners, but times have changed & many counties now block their frequency. Sadly, it becomes like a "second job" but the end results was warrants issued & a civil lawsuit. Best of luck!

Put up a sign that says “smile for the camera”, get cameras and document the camera pics. Stalking is not legal. Do not trespassing signs only fade after a decade. Get the signs up!! Is your land adjacent to a hunting club or something? Show those 15 people to law enforcement and demand they go to them or the property owner and ask if they need to be up on your property or what they are up to. You are a single woman and that snooping is unnecessary. Maybe motion sensor lights and alarm by the lights and alert to your home or phone. Maybe they are checking something on their property like traps, moonshine, marijuana plants or something illegal. Get Law Enf involved now. Make a formal report at the police station. Go to city council meeting and express your concerns and ask them what’s up with this town and film it. Tell law enf about the incident with the lights and sirens. It’s illegal to have flashing lights that are identical to police. Make a report on that because they sound crazy!!!! That way documentation is already filed at the sheriffs office and ASK the law if they are aware of crazy, illegal, nefarious or property issues with any of the 15 people. Tell the cops that. Good Luck.

    Several suggestions;
    1. For any night activity, Install infrared cameras along with strategically placed motion-activated high intensity lights/lasers
    2. Install several poles at each corner of the property and implement a "virtual fence" whereby if any trespassers breach the perimeter, a 150 decible alarm sounds or the motion-activated camera is activated
    3. Have three guard dogs roaming the property
    4. Implement a 24 hour 7 day a week live cam feed on the border of your property whereby the feed is continuously broadcast to the world and anyone can see what is going on by logging into your website.
Would also need high resolution cameras with superior zoom capability!
This way, millions of people could watch your property 24/7 and zoom in to see the face of the trespassers!
    5. Randomly use security guards that will camp out on the property for two to three nights at a time!
    6. Place several sheds at strategic locations along the border of your land. The security guards can stay in the sheds Each shed should be equipped with the necessary supplies that the security guard needs!
    7. Have random shooting drills on the property where the security guards can frequently target practice
    8. Construct a 8 foot privacy fence around the property
    9. Randomly lease out the property on a short term basis - maybe for two and three day stays
    10. Create several mini houses on the border of the property and rent out

Definitely, the 24/7 webcam should be implemented ASAP!
Also, remember the cam should have great resolution in the daytime and at night with excellent zooming capability so that you can monitor your property at any time and from anywhere!
You could combine the 24/7 cam with a motion activated camera that take high resolution pictures and maybe lasers!
Other thought I just had was that there may be a law recently implemented whereby any persons cannot cover their face or have a mask on in certain areas!
      This law may be national!
Great idea to research this law to determine if it is in effect!
Critical to understand that this is a battle between God and evil spirits and we must be intentional, pro-active and think ahead at least four steps!
In other words, you are playing three-dimensional chess every day all day and must be equipped with all the tools that you need to win this battle!
Being ever cognizant that the best tool that you can ever have is to stay connected to God, ongoing prayer and being ever ready in the physical realm to fulfill God's purpose in your life fearlessly every day all day!
God Bless and much prayer, much power!
