- Some shots I was able to get while walking around Chicago on Sunday whilst the race played out. It amazed me how everyone was doing anything to get a glimpse of the cars on track!

that last shot of all the what looks to be college & high-school kids lining up the fences to see cup cars may be the greatest thing i've seen this year. like THAT is the epitome of what i want nascar to be.
it's cool to see nascar have a core base of millions of 30-50-year fans but let's be honest the optics of that don't look good at the track & on social media for b-roll, hell the tv ratings give me the same vibe. that last image though gives me hope because seeing how loud these cars are, i know they're gonna be interesting in actually being diehards as a result of that addicting damn sound. this may wind up breaking the streak of nascar FINALLY breaking into the 18-34 demo for once
fyi this is coming from a 21-yr-old socal nascar fan of 18 years. people like me just don't exist 😭
As a 30 year old NASCAR fan I want more people my age and younger to love NASCAR. They are missing out.

who the flip put up all the black tarps?? AT the very least let them see if they couldnt afford to buy a $300 ticket to get in.
That's what Im saying! They at least need to have spots where a small portion of the track is visible, but advertising tickets as an exclusive access or you get special items with a ticket to drive the sales.
pretty sure they were McDonalds Billiards....and were probably there to prevent people from seeing for free

NASCAR is becoming elitist, which is why it's dying and gimmick races like this are needed to keep interest. LA race was well received last year, this year's viewership was @ 700k less. There is not a NASCAR race I'd pay $300 to see. Hotel rooms where in the $1500 range. Only elitist can afford that!!
@tobylou8 the hotel prices are up to the hotel and the hotel alone, NASCAR has nothing to do with that
They don’t even really know how loud those cars really are cause they had mufflers for that race!

How many seats are unsold when they use barricades...too hard to put bleachers up behind barricades?...lost opportunity
They're going like 45 mph it seems kind of unimpressive
I could only see the slowest parts of the track so the speeds are low. But they reached speeds of like 150+ on the long straights
tv also didn't show birds in trees and dogs on leashes what a$$holes right lol
Atleast maybe it seems that Chicago for a small period forgot about all the woke bullshit happening in the town and came together to enjoy the event.
