Jesus could've gone out of the inn, after hearing about Lazeres's death to have a moment by himself. Then he could be looking out to the water and remembering John baptizing him. My church experiences are based in the Methodist and Congregational traditions. We celebrate Maundy Thursday with communion and a Tenebrae service where the sanctuary gets darker as scripture is read and each of all 12 candles are snuffed out one at a time, until the church is dark. It’s my favorite service out of the whole church calendar.
I remember the Holy Week wad not a week of celebration .but of sadness.with Good Friday as the Way of The Cross. I was I'm 8th grade when my mother took us out of school to go to the Way of the Cross at the Catholic Church. 😢
I would expect some kind of reference to the Transfiguration. I know we will not see it play out but we, for sure, should see its impact on the Disciples who witnessed it.

It surprised me, because I expected them to be similar. But I would like to maybe clarify, how we celebrate at least in my country. We have Palm Sunday, and then we start the Passover Triduum on Thursday evening with the Liturgy of the Lord's Supper/Feast ( the establishment of Eucharist and Priesthood, also then the priest washes the feet of 12 people as a remembrance of how Jesus washed the Apostles feet), the Liturgy of the Lords Agony on Good Friday, on Saturday during the day we bring festive baskets with decorated eggs, bread, salt and sausage, sometimes a figurine of a Lamb and the prist blesses them with Holly Water, and on Saturday evening we have the biggest celebration of the Passover Eve, and on Sunday a Ressurection Mass at 6 am (later there are other Sunday Massas, but for a full celebration of Easter one should take part in the Passover Eve or Resurrection as far as I understand), Saturday night the Church is open and some people stay there until the morning to pray.

It would have been cool if they had met Zacheus and as Jesus was flipping the tables He was thinking of Matthew and Zacheus and how THEY turned to Him, and honor Him now with their mental gifts and wealth, while the money changers are using the temple in a way that is not honoring. But I know Season 5 will basically be me watching the screen through blurry crying eyes. It will be good no matter what! ^_^
in The Chosen season 3 episode 6 in the prologue intro. Where it's a dream about the apostles sleeping and a snake slithering around them. That's a foreshadowing of the apostles falling asleep while jesus is praying in the garden

I don’t really see them dealing with the beginning of the church. Jesus was on earth for 40 days between His resurrection and his ascension. There’s actually quite a bit of things that they can deal with in those eight episodes, especially if they deal with the resurrection from different viewpoints. That’s what I’m hoping to say, really elaborate on what those 40 days were like. Jesus was still being their rabbi during that time. And it would be great if we could at least meet his half-brothers during this season. James was a major figure in the early church and we know that Christ appeared to Him.
I wish theyd have the "suffer the children to come unto me" but I doubt it since that would have already happened. I think it'd be powerful though more than even S1e3.

Disciples are all in mourning and confusion over what has happened, and so Peter, James, and John speak of the transfiguration - they know Jesus is the Messiah, and so have to confront the question of how could the Messiah die, which ofc they understand in season 7.
The Chosen will depict the role of John 'the beloved' in the Last Supper. He also had access to the high priest's house due to his father's sale of olive oil. I believe The Chosen will connect John 6, 'Bread of Life,' during the Last Supper: “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you!”

I hope Dallas doesn’t hold back on the Passion. The pain and suffering that Jesus went through for us NEEDS to be conveyed in the show. The Romans were brutal with his punishment and crucifixion, and the audience needs to experience this. Put an advisory notice before, and don’t worry about if it’s too intense. Basically do it justice. It is important in the telling of his life.

Incidentally, there’s two dates for Passover from study of the dead sea scrolls. So it’s not a given that the trials took place over 24 hrs, could be more. Abt the upper room’s owner…another guess would be the essenes since there are signs that they lived in that southern quarter of jerusalem. another clue is the man carrying water - likely to be a monk. If season 6 is an all-episodes on the day of cruxifixction, would not be out of place to do that Chosen-flashback on OT scenes eg. Abraham’s sacrifice of Issac, day of atonement, isaiah’s prophecy or even Daniel’s night vision of the Son of Man.

So, I apologize if anything I say here has already been said by Brandon or anyone else. I'm genuinely not trying to take from anyone else. I've been really busy with work and so I've only been able to watch videos somewhat sporadically, and I haven't interacted with any comments. But, here is my theory about some of what will take place in S5. So, I think the explosion is going to be caused by Barabbas and other insurrectionists. I agree that they are destroying the oil and that this will lead to Zebedee getting to know the high priest. That will then be the connection that will get John and Peter into the courtyard of Caiaphas as recorded in Scripture. I think the raid scene is that of the Romans coming to get Barabbas. I could be wrong; I say none of this with dogmatic certainty, but this all makes sense to me. We'll see!
We can only hope that The Chosen stays true to the Jewish culture in how they depict the changes of each day. Timing is going to be quite important and we hope they get it right.

I think we will see the 7 woes again but this time the chosen will finish and not mix it because in the longest scene we heard Jesus said "In the day' s of our father we with not take part with in sheading the blood of our prophet for I tell you you will not see me again" but I am interested of how their going to do that this when Jesus cleanse the temple or when the pharisees try to question him and expose and I hope we hear God's voice when Jesus says glofly your name because we never something supernatural it within hurt to see that just once and I am curious of how the disclipes with react seeing Jesus being in a way we never seen before.
YEP! As far as we know BOTH Season 6 AND 7 will have a movie involved in some way! We don't have exact details, but Dallas spoke about this in the special movie Guide magazine.
Showing the entire season 4 in theaters caused some difficulties, so the movies will probably be summaries of the seasons for theaters, while the episodes themselves will only be on the APP. At least I think that's the best thing Dallas could do.
@d4vidsilva931 It’ll be a separate thing entirely. So we should get 8 episodes, then a feature length movie. The thing we don’t know is where the movie will land. Is it in the middle of the season? Is it at the end? Is it the crucifixion? I probably lean toward it being the climax of mother season. Meaning it’ll probably be the crucifixion at the end of the season and end with the apostles going into Saturday.
Will they show Peter "weeping bitterly" after denying Christ 3 times.. and show also Judas regret betraying Jesus by throwing down the blood money he got into the temple to the high priests or whatever and says "i jave sinned by betraying innocent blood!" then runs out somewhere and hangs himself...
I want to be honest and say that depicting the voice of God The Father could be a big risk and maybe even presumptuous. It could give people a perception of what He sounds like that may not be entirely true. I pray that The Chosen is filled with Godly wisdom if they do decide to portray to audible voice of God. Maybe they can show it in a myriad of ways much like how God speaks to us today in many different ways (audibly, a strong conviction, a still small voice like a whisper, in thunder, etc. and all of the above lol). I dunno. Just my thoughts 😇

So, I think the explosion is going to be caused by Barabbas and other insurrectionists. I agree that they are destroying the oil and that this will lead to Zebedee getting to know the high priest. That will then be the connection that will get John and Peter into the courtyard of Caiaphas as recorded in Scripture. I think the raid scene is that of the Romans coming to get Barabbas.
I could be wrong; I say none of this with dogmatic certainty, but this all makes sense to me. We'll see!
We can only hope that The Chosen stays true to the Jewish culture in how they depict the changes of each day. Timing is going to be quite important and we hope they get it right.

I think we will see the 7 woes again but this time the chosen will finish and not mix it because in the longest scene we heard Jesus said "In the day' s of our father we with not take part with in sheading the blood of our prophet for I tell you you will not see me again" but I am interested of how their going to do that this when Jesus cleanse the temple or when the pharisees try to question him and expose and I hope we hear God's voice when Jesus says glofly your name because we never something supernatural it within hurt to see that just once and I am curious of how the disclipes with react seeing Jesus being in a way we never seen before.

YEP! As far as we know BOTH Season 6 AND 7 will have a movie involved in some way! We don't have exact details, but Dallas spoke about this in the special movie Guide magazine.
Showing the entire season 4 in theaters caused some difficulties, so the movies will probably be summaries of the seasons for theaters, while the episodes themselves will only be on the APP. At least I think that's the best thing Dallas could do.

@d4vidsilva931 It’ll be a separate thing entirely. So we should get 8 episodes, then a feature length movie. The thing we don’t know is where the movie will land. Is it in the middle of the season? Is it at the end? Is it the crucifixion? I probably lean toward it being the climax of mother season. Meaning it’ll probably be the crucifixion at the end of the season and end with the apostles going into Saturday.

I hope so, but I haven’t seen any evidence of that yet. And Dallas has been pretty clear that he isn’t going to do it, but 🤷♂️

How did you become an extra?
I want to be honest and say that depicting the voice of God The Father could be a big risk and maybe even presumptuous. It could give people a perception of what He sounds like that may not be entirely true. I pray that The Chosen is filled with Godly wisdom if they do decide to portray to audible voice of God. Maybe they can show it in a myriad of ways much like how God speaks to us today in many different ways (audibly, a strong conviction, a still small voice like a whisper, in thunder, etc. and all of the above lol). I dunno. Just my thoughts 😇
Scripture states that sometimes when the Father spoke audibly, some bystanders thought it was thunder. Maybe they could use a thunder sound. Just a thought!
