Found another s-pen trick. Go into a text message and hover the pen over the right or left corner of an individual text (mine shows little dot). You will see an arrow appear and you can now scroll down or up continuously. Small trick but good for reviewing texts.
Thank you for your videos and information on the Note 9. I finally gave up from hanging on to my Note 4, and I decided that the Note 10 wasn't worth it, and I got a nearly new used note line for $475 and I'm quite happy with it. (August 2019)
Your video is so helpful. I learned so much. I'm sure I will watch again and again to catch the things I missed. Is there a way to set the sensitivity of the double click? For instance in gallery I have the double click set to previous item but all it will do is go forward two pictures.
Can you test how wireless screen mirroring works over Miracast? You would need a Samsung smart TV or Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. I think the switch is called "Quick Connect" from the pull-down menu. I'm eager to see how the aspect ratio is dealt with and if Dex mode is available. Thanks!

You skipped the Bixby vision, but never came back to it.... Also the screen write also has a sweet scroll capture option, which allows you to capture a lot on your screen by just continually scrolling. Lots of info (most my Note4 still does, but several new functions.). XD

Thank you. Question regarding screen off memo: How to continue a given screen-off memo even after you have turned the screen back on, to open a different app? I find that after doing that, and turning the screen back off again, the phone always wants to open a new note, instead of letting me continue the old one. Only way to get to the old one is by turning on the screen, opening the S Notes app, navigating to it, and then adding to it in "screen on" mode. But if I'm trying to use the phone discreetly as a note-taking device in a meeting or lecture, it's far better to operate with screen off. Any guidance?
I read somewhere that you should pin your note as opposed to saving it. I haven't quite figured out all the quirks but that may be one way to continue the note and save when finished.
My God i was conflicted between note 9 and the Max, here i was thinking it was a difficult choice. So awesome what you can do. The problem is the general public is lazy and simple minded so they look for something simple and lazy like the iphone and avoid learning the Note 9

Ordered my note 9 last week. Unfortunately, only two colors are available in the US at this time. The lavender color and blue. My last three phones have been blue so I'm fine with that. But I might like to have seen the copper. All the phones have color-coordinated S pens except the blue. I think the yellow S Pen makes it look cheap. Hopefully somebody will come out with an app or a hack that will allow us to change the color of our s pens. In the meantime, Samsung please give us an option to not have a yellow pen with a color phone. At $1,250 I do not consider this a special edition. You should allow us to exchange this out for a color coordinating pen.
In Malaysia we have a choice of metallic copper, lavender purple, midnight black & ocean blue.... Mine is midnight black.. I love it very much as it looks solid when screen turn off.... the best part is all note 9 here is running with Samsung latest chip set Exynos 9810 instead of snapdragon chip set and also comes with free gift Samsung gear sport smart watch. 128gb or 512gb is available. Thank You Samsung Malaysia ...
Not as demonstrated in this video. You can edit the cell but when you hover the pen over the cell the little T icon doesn't show up. However, in the keyboard settings you can enable that the 'handwriting pad' is shown when the s pen is detected. This way you can still (hand)write text into cells. Hope this helps.
Hi, there is another feature. If you want to copy a text, you press and hold the S Pen button on the text and you can select the specific text you want to copy. When you press and hold the button close to the screen a text indicator appear, then you can select the text.
I don't understand why when I remove the S Pen of my Note 9 the feature drop down appears straight unlike yours that appears in for of an arc. Do you have any idea how I can set it to appear as an arc or better still curved like yours. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. Please people if there is anybody that knows how to do this can also get in touch with me.
You don't have to turn on Bluetooth mode just Bluetooth S pen. Also, all of the normal functions will still work even if you turn off the Bluetooth functions.
Hi, Can I use s-pen for typing chinese letter on text chat? Seem samsung keyboard doesn't provide it and I have to download other keyboard, gkeyboard provide chinese letter but not by s pen and using how it pronounce / pinyin instead. I think my old note 4 keyboard provide though. Did I missed something?
Note gonna lie. The switch from the iPhone 8 to the Note 9 is pretty smooth. I dont regret this purchase. Absolutely love it
same but I switched from iPhone 7 and I can confirm I did a 180 on apple and started hating them in a snap. :)

This feature is not just for messages, you can scroll up and down in many application with this feature (web pages, instagram, etc).
Good video. That glance feature looks interesting. Samsung should use the clicker for extra bluetooth functionality.

so if we turn on spen mode all the time does that mean it uses bluetooth even if we dont use the spen?

Yes, you can just download the language on the keyboard settings and switch the keyboard to handwriting
