@Expensive no ofc! i didn't mean for my response to come off in a negative way. i genuinely do not know the real answer for this. some artists like using mics as a stylistic choice but for blackswan at the moment, i think they are settling with mics at the moment because they don't have CIEM's (custom in ear monitors, in ear microphones), which have to be custom fitted and cost a bit of money. they'll upgrade to that eventually, which is what i mean. /gen
I think they use hand mics because the sound quality is better for live singing, and because to be honest DR music seems to be a bit stuck in the past and is continuing traditions from older generations such as hand mics and group shots at the end instead of ending fairies in a majority of performances
