I don’t know if it’s just me, but there is something about the original test your might that actually felt like you, as the player were testing your might, smashing the buttons in time wasn’t easy. Also the raw animations and deep breathings add to that feeling. Now the other games versions didn’t feel like that. They were too smooth and polished and didn’t gave me that OG feelings, they all felt like breaking easy.
I wonder if there is a way to adjust the arcade settings. So that you can have "Test Your Might" every two fights, instead of every three. That way, we would get to do wood, stone, steel, ruby, and diamond all in the main campaign.
Not Mortal Kombat 2, Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat 4, Mortal Kombat Gold, Mortal Kombat Deception, Mortal Kombat Armageddon , Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe not in Test your might.
we used to cheat to beat all these. we had that sega arcade controller with the megafire selector for the buttons. all we had to do was hold a and c down and they would repeat on their own

I dont kno about anybody else but if I seen an individual brake diamond like that I would immediately be thinking dollar signs but anyway they should've added gold lol!!!!
Gold isn't a good choice for "test your might" as it is quite soft and malleable and wouldn't be much of a challenge. Steel is harder and more durable.
