I like steering wheel loaders myself. Actually they say the future is to improve on what we have and make it better. But I say, some things are better left the way they are. To many electronic controls just wear out faster
Machines like this are to big to use a steering wheel...the stick makes everything much quicker and smoother!! In a small shovel, 50t and under, it can make sense but I always prefer a stick no matter what size!!
@@brjgtm2011 when the bucket is full, most of the weight is on the two front tires, and even if they're really thick, a pointy chunk of rock against a tire with hundreds of tons of weight on it will end up puncturing it. Ence, reinforced steel net around them to protect them/break the rocks in to smaller pieces.
