Fuuuck dude, literally “Just do what top 200 list does” is such a good riff and you write such amazing riffs just for these videos, that’d be so cool in a full song!
Man there are days where I feel everything is too much that I can't even pick up the guitar but every time I see your videos it gives the motivation to pick up the guitar and jam!!! Thanks for everything you do man. You inspire me!
Sometimes I even just Jam outbsomenideas in my head instead of practice actual stuff. Some people are good at making slower progress and mine has been overall I think. Some people also can only handle a little info at a time. I recommend people find practice things that work for them and warming up for me with either arppegio stuff or some Frank Gambale Chop Builder stuff really can help my hands relax and get warmed up good. I play Jazz and playing with different dynamics sometimes so I like to warm up with different dynamics sometimes too. I would say one or two days with no practice if your wrists super hurt is good. You don't want to get injured at the end of the day and I try to do deep breating stuff sometimes no matter what I play and how hard I will Jam out. You can jam out hard and be relaxed somewhat still.
That top 200 list rif was so beautiful though. And i like she shred part too, I hate when people “shred” by just playing random notes, that shred was pretty
0:00 I don't cross bridges. I take a huge jump to to the other side. I even broke a few bones doing this. I'm on the hospital of pain420 right now typing this. So my music never had bridges because I want my listeners to feel the same adventurous feeling I get!
@@codybeinert1109 Ha yeah, listening again it was a bit of a stretch. This was for sure more symphonic than any HFTS song, but the riff still kind of reminded me of the Heroin Waltz
The irony of the top 200 riffs Nik often does is they're sorta poking fun at mainstream chart toppers (my impression, anyways), but everybody loves them, revealing how we all enjoy a good catchy chart topper
Thank you for making this man, love your content, and the most used in metal series. Helps with finding motivation in my case when it comes to making music, keep up the great work man
absolutely love these! I was wondering, are u coming up with these tunes(either them being bridges, breakdowns, choruses etc.) entirely by yourself or are u getting inspo by pre-existing songs? or i'm assuming it's a mix of both?
Bro, would be great if you start doing videos of how to do that metalcore bridges, I'm a starter on guitar, and I want to learn about it,but there aren't videos about it
The "Burning Bridges" is what you hear right before the vocalist proceeds to blow his/her blows with a scream beyond his normal limits trying to hype up the crowd lmaooooo. Veil of Maya has a few bridges like that, minus the vocal blow out though lol.
*The bridge to riff paradise*
How about a tribute to Hair Metal shredders🔥👁️🔥
Like Malmstien & Lynch goodness!
💀⚡🍕⚡🎸⚡🍕⚡💀
lmfao
Nice dad joke opener :p
I love your vibes tho for real... so melodic
I was wondering if you could do "The Vengeance" by Black Veil Brides but metal-fied
If you made a mini version of this video, would it be an...abridged version?
Ayyyyy
Yeah, in which he says something to the tune of “I am hilarious and you will quote everything I say” 😉
@@EdBoi18 and instead of dodge he screams practice
Oh
You know, screaming Practice is more distracting than helpful

I intended to say that “Just do what top 200 list does” was killer and I’m glad I’m not alone.
Cymoar I SEE STARS - Judith Rules around 3:12 does a similar part
evdboy2 dude you right, that was sick
Thank you!
I'd engage that killswitch
That solo at 1:47 was dope as hell man
Thanks Cody!

My favorite bridges tend to be ambient and/or clean.
2:28 literally Asking Alexandria's Stand Up and Scream album XD

That was probably the most beautiful lead tone on that solo 😍
The dance club breakdown literally break me dude

That top 200 list part sounds like a sick chorus to me
"the change up" was actually pretty sick

DUDE I love the way you compose. It's familiar but never cliché.
Thank you! :)
the alternative chorus sounded great!
Man the clean break brought back breakdown of sanity vibes for me
The clean break is definitely my favorite though
The Shred, Bro! Gave me serious Fall of Ideals vibes
Youre videos always make me laugh! Love you dude, keep killing it
Ambient bridge into a breakdown is what I live for
I love the clean break
I like how he still vibes with each one

Burning bridges was pretty neat
Shred bro was sick af
I’m glad he says “used” and not “overused” because these are actually all good.
These really helped *bridge* the gaps in songs
The change up riff was actually really dope lol.
The top 200 list one was soooo good 🥺
Dude. I miss when metal was so unpredictable like that last riff.
Love the Shred, Bro Bridge!
The shred one was sick :O
My favorite is the change up
You got to do a video on most used harmonics in metal music
2:29 aka 'the Jordan Fish'
Burning bridges was so good i need a full black metal song with that in it as the transcendental part.
Some of these should become actual songs, great job Nik as usual :)
Thank you!
2:57 sounds like The Faceless
"Metal show, or dance club?" Is literally giving my Kingdom Hearts 2: Space Paranoids vibes and i love all of it.
The last bridge was too 🔥
Nik, how about a video about open tunings?
You should make a song with clips taken from each one of these types of videos. Some of these are bad ass bridges.

The change up = Oceans at Alaska vibes
My personal motto.
"When in doubt, BREAK IT DOWN."
The beginning of "the Change up" is fucking heavy as shit
I've always wondered, what is the drums plugin Nick uses? I mean, that snare and china are so niiiiice
Top 200
Was straight butter
An alternative chorus = Anaal Nathrak. Which almost always is the most happy sounding they get.
