In this video I am talking about and ongoing accommodation fraud with me in UK. I am sharing my personal experience.

Hi , I just found a house for renting in facebook market place. I replied to her and now am waiting for the landlord reply. I asked her to talk through phone . I asked her to chat with me send pictures of the house and she doesn’t. I am completely new to this contry and I thought it’s how these works. Right now it’s hard to get a house in uk. Seeing your video made me cry and I know I am saved . Thank you for your video I saved 1400 pounds

register here. search by university. contact customer service and get it sorted. they may be slightly expensive, but scam free. its totally worth it in my opinion.

Hi Brother, I got scammed by a property agent in London. I lost nearly 700 pounds. I have reported it to the bank but the bank's representative said that they can't do anything. Can you suggest to me how to handle this situation?
Get in touch with the person/ company. There is hardly anything you can do now. Best is to consider a lesson learnt the hard way. Sorry for your loss.
Hi kien.. nice videos of yours. Just wanna ask as to whether or not it would be best to get and rent an accomodation inside the uni campus or outside the campus. I am in the process now of applying for student visa in UK for post graduate study in accounting & taxation.. tnx
Depending on your university, it could be beneficial to stay in university campus itself.
Similar case happened here, like not trip advisor but she said through Airbnb she will be getting tenants deposit. She asked proof passport copy and phone numbers for verifying, but we didn’t pay anything . Will there be a problem them using our passport scanned copy?
It should not be a problem as such. but very careful when dealing online and paying money. its always best to double check and verify before proceeding with payment.

My was same case he said he lived in wales and said to pay 500 pounds and for more proof I asked bills and some documents he denied it . He posted ad In Facebook. My brother saved me from this scam.

Hey bro. I found an accommodation for me in Brighton. He is asking me to pay a booking amount. Before paying I searched in RUclips and landed on this vedio. Please help me out with this.
Check his details online, make sure he is legit. If possible, try to connect with someone local, and ask him to check out.
NEVER REPLY WITH EMAILS, PHONE NUMBERS AND MEET THE PERSON!

It's good. You need to do due diligence before paying anyone. But I haven't seen many scams on spareroom and could say it's fairly safe

Sir I'd applied from si uk and for accomodation they are suggesting casita ..and i got call from casita but they are asking for 125 pounds to book it it's for January is it ohaky to give that amount of money
check if they are genuine and go ahead with booking. it is okay and normal to pay holding deposit.

Hey there Kein! So, I am going through the same thing right now. Still quite unsure if its genuine or a scam. So allow me to guide you through it.
So I am looking for a place in Slough. Or any house near the Elizabeth line. I went to FB Marketplace. Found a property and just like you did, i got and email address where we are communicating. The lady is in Spain. And the property is managed by "Airbnb". And she is saying the same. Asking me to pay upfront on their website. Although I'm yet to receive the link to the website. But I am quite scared. I'm a student, alone. For a very humble middle class background, where every Pound I spend feels like millions!
So, yeah. If you have any advice for me then it'll be highly appreciated. And I shall keep you posted here in the comments.

Check the link that you get. Pretty sure it's a scam though. But make sure you double triple check before paying any money.
