Poppy Ridge is no joke. I have played the Merlot and Zinfandel Course. I shot well that day but still pretty damn challenging. I believe that its rounds like this where you really focus on striving to play better. When I play well I ease up on the next round and don't do so well. I know you are going to bounce back and have a great round next time. Can't wait for the next one.
That was interesting that you said you thought you could let up mentally because you were back on track only to hit the wall again. I think Tom Kite said that was the difference between a good golfer and a pro, was holding the focus. I'm with you, I could feel your pain.
Oh man! the first time I filmed Poppy Ridge + played, I questioned my entire existence. LOL Such a tough course, but you did an awesome job man. You're in my backyard pretty much, we should play Wente together :)
IMO, you played the two best 9 there. I don’t like Merlot 9 as much as those two. You know what makes me feel better after a round like that? Go play SJ Muni and get your confidence back! What irons did you get?
Thank you for the video! On Chardonnay 6, when you said you made a mistake with using a chipper and it went past the hole too far, what would you have done differently? Would you rather putt?

Great video! Such good quality. I am playing these two 9's next week so it was nice to get a little preview of what to expect. Thanks!
Hope you saw and learned what NOT to do haha. Good luck and go low!
I feel you. Poppy Ridge is a test of your game. Played a Weekend net tour tournament, opposite nines, shot 40-51. Golf IS hard. Good stuff.
Can never let up when it comes to golf out of nowhere it can turn on you!
That course beat me up! The Zinfandel 9 is the hardest of three in my opinion. Great job!
Nice software brother love the shot tracer and hole info. I was just there last week

What irons did you get?
Forged TEC one length irons! Got a great deal on them.

Putter or bump and run with my PW!
Great videos! What type of ball tracer/app do you use?
Shot tracer app on MacOS!
What irons did you go with?
I'll be talking about it on a podcast soon but I went with the new cobra forged TEC one length irons. Got a really good deal on them!
