Are we suppose to be able to level the gigas HP by so much? I think this gotta be a mistake or if t his is intended then the mod would be too OP. I J ust hope the mechanics falls in line with the old way. As far as leveling. Someone on the serer said you can level the hp and it goes up by ALOT. This sounds kind of OP. If this is how it is meant with the new model that is fine as long as we have a setting for it to work the old way.
@@VeganSanatani the plesiosaur is technically the elasmosaurus in default ark. Its dossier will tell you, plesiosaurus was used in game (and I’m assuming here) because it’s a more popular name.

Speaking of, have you guys talked about doing a Rex variant that can compete with the Giga/Carcha? It would be nice for it to get the King status back since it's somehow been overshadowed by so many others. Keep up the great work!!

Had to come back to drop a second comment after playing with the gigas! They look sooooo good! From the saddles to the super detailed textures just the cleanest dino out. They feel so heavy and powerful now and the controls are so much better. Can't wait to run tek cave when I'm done with my mutations
Evo Rex isn't spawning on Scorched for me on console. Did a dino wipe and everything and I'm in the area that ALWAYS has rexs and none are appearing. I need rex arms to tame Hatz but I can't 😢
First things first, I hope you have a fantastic holiday! It's great to finally get to play with them on console and it was certainly worth the wait! I've just played around with the Rex and it is magnificent really. From textures to animations and saddle design, absolutely great making the Rex feel like something I'd like to use more regularly instead of just breed and send to a boss fight. Now, I've noticed this in a few other mods too, that walking over rough terrain makes the creature a little more "jittery and wobbly" than vanilla creatures. I wonder if it's down to the more complex animation rigging? Also, am I right to assume the different materials used for the saddle straps and under belly part being quite glossy is done to provide more contrast and interesting look? It certainly does that but IMO they are a little bit too shiny especially given the worn out, heavily weathered leather look of the texture? Not really a criticism given its all artistic choice, just an observation. Fantastic work all around though well done and thank you.
Heya! We redid the saddle recently so in the near future you'll see a new one. As far ss the jitteryness we know the issue it's something with its IK we're looking into 👍

Yesterday while playing scorched my game crashed, I'm able to open and load Ark but when I try to load scorched it crashes. However the island is working. Kinda annoying.

Hey, maybe someone here might be able to help me. I've added the Paleo Ark mod for evo rex & giga to my game however after many hours searching, deleting wild dinos and restarting/reinstalling the game and mod, I've noticed that there simply doesn't spawn any evo rexes nor evo gigas in my game, on the island & scorched earth. Every wild rex I encounter is the vanilla version, however taming one grants me access to the wheel to change it to its evo variant, which is weird. So I'm now trying to figure out why the mod behaves like that on my game file, is there any other mod which intereferes with the Paleo Ark one? Or are there any GameUserSettings that I have to enable? (Out of frustration I even tried putting the GUS.ini related to the older version of Paleo Ark for ASE in, which unsurprisingly didn't change anything lmao) Like I mentioned, I did already many many commands to get rid of all wild dinos and even killed off other apex stuff to make room for new spawns, nothing changes. I have access to the saddle in the engrams list and can change any wild caught vanilla rex to the evo variant via the wheel thing. Just no wild evo rexes or gigas. I have quite a few mods installed, mainly such that add many other creatures or simply different creature variants so I'm thinking maybe something of that is probably overwriting the Paleo Ark one, maybe? I put the Paleo Ark mod pretty high up in my mods list, however if it really is related to the other mods overwriting Paleo one, are there any ideas which ones specifically that might be? Or is there generally a mod which shouldn't be used together with Paleo Ark?
@mohslegacy2679 Yes, at least in my case. So if you have more mods installed especially the ones that make wild dinos have a higher Level in-game that will most likely be the cause of that issue. For some reason those mods f... with the spawns in such a way that it prevents the Evo Variants from spawning but still allows you to swap any tamed rex to it's evo variant (didn't test it on giga). I had two mods installed that change how high of a level any wild dino is and I deleted both so I'm not too sure about which exactly caused the issue. I don't exactly remember their names either.. If that doesn't work then try removing any mod that adds a new variant to the vanilla dinos, like the Z- Variants and so on. For my game the Paleo Mod works fine with the Arkology Mod, so if you're using that one as well it should be fine

I think the giga is op when it gets mutations since it does more dmg than normal giga and has 10x more hp than a normal giga + invincibility frames, kinda unfair for pvp, but the rex is nice albeit i have my preference for a different rex rework.

That super incomplete elasmosaurus already has better proportions than the in game version. That’s a tlc that’s been needed forever.
