    My co-worker just sold me his working 2 port Atari 5200, w/(4) 5200 controllers, 5200 trackball, 2600 adapter, 2 Atari 2600 joysticks, (18) 5200 games & (1) 2600 game for $200. I got a great deal.

Cool video, thanks! Will look up the pc joystick adapters.
I loved the Wico controllers, until finding out the potentiometers can't be replaced, the internals of them wear out and cleaning doesn't do anything. I bought one "untested". Tested ones are great, until the contacts wear out.
The Wico keypad they sold was and still is amazing.
The gold flexcircuits definitely fix a ton of problems. Amazed there's no custom modification to add self-centering as the joystick was on the right track, just not designed to full potential :(

The best Atari 5200, in my opinion, is an Atari 8-bit computer. They've got the same feel of an Atari 5200, without all of the annoyances. Joysticks are of the standard 9-pin variety and the software library is huge compared to the Atari 5200.

True. The Atari 400 is the true successor to the Atari 2600. It was meant to be back then and today, I use it as the perfect game console.

I refurbed my own controllers. Have a trackball too. What I really want is the 2 controller mount for Robotron 2084.

Nice! Do the refurbished controllers work well?

@@gameselectronicsrus3909 Yes. Still good after 3+ years with all original parts. Didn't use a rebuild kit. Most common issue is deterioration of the carbon dots on the keys and buttons. I cut and superglued some small circles of aluminum furnace tape to the carbon dots. The superglue bonds the surface of the carbon dots and prevents their disintegration to powder while also securing the aluminum tape. Lots of 'repair' videos/guides just suggest wiping the carbon dots but that only temporarily fixes the problem instead of solving it.
