It’s a shame because Frontier had tons of potential but squandered it. Tons of Frontier monsters could’ve been added to mainline titles; a lot of the Carapaceons would be a welcome sight in World. I’m just torn over Frontier... I hate the gameplay and a lot of the monster designs are just plain ugly, but there’s also a ton of brilliantly designed monsters and the tonfas and magnet spike are awesome MH weapons that wouldn’t feel out of place.

If they wanted to bring the design to mainline, just give the monster gray fur, and have a cutscene of it igniting and freezing. So that the colors make sense. Then, you can simply reskin the monster for a pure ice or pure fire variant.
People! This design is made for the japanese market. Japan loves it. Capcom knows what they are doing when they make more "realistic" design for the west. The colourfull armor, weapons and monsters. The exeggarated movements. This is monster hunter.
Japan loved it so much that they didn't play Frontier enough for it to be worth maintaining and it died and shut down due to the low player count lol. The game is completely gone.
I think a lot of everyone's thoughts on it was todoroki while mines were that a valstrax, a zinoger and a teostra just decided to fuck and bam they had this monstrosity
Maybe you know this already, but Frontier has been dead for a while now. It was shut down some time ago and a vast majority of it's content is unavailable. There is apparently a fan project to ressurect private servers but I don't know how much progress they have made. Unless more of Frontier's content starts to get ported to new titles, it will likely remain lost for a pretty long time.
Everyone is probably gonna hate me for, but I just have to say that this Monster Hunter is like a fantasy genre God Eater: Burst. Just this one, though.
@@Narugarex Well, when you think about it there are many different types of monster as there is Arigami, pulling off those special attacks is like attacking in Burst Mode, and zenith in general looks like a fantasy form of Burst Mode. This game may not have as many transforming weapons, but I'm pretty sure the dash movements you can off can compensate.
I think with the horns just a bit smaller or a different shape it would look much better. I love the design don't get me wrong, looks pretty awesome, the horns just make it look like it'll topple over from the weight if it leans forward too far.
Yeah, maybe make the horns a bit more like Kulve's. As for the colours + fur, while the idea is cool and all, I find it a bit too glaring. Maybe make the fur on both sides one colour (maybe gray, or white), but have one side be actively on fire, and the other side be covered in hoarfrost...
there are a lot of monsters in mh frontier ( not just this one) and from mh online that would be nice in the main series. (like the elder dragon that controls liquid metal)
A lot of elder dragons in Frontier simply would not work if they were brought in main line due to the fact that their attacks are primarily built on extreme style to deal with. Eruzerion is definitely one of them to be sure because his speed, blights, and range would outmatch the careful lackluster mobility of main line completely. This also goes to the other elder dragons that work in a similar fashion. Like Harudomerugu and his ability to instant stun with each of the attacks he uses with his arms. Furthermore, others have their own unique area contributing to their main elder dragon title. It would look and feel absolutely ridiculous and unfitting if any of them were precariously inserted in main line with the way they always have been in Frontier and not having their designated locale right along with them. Unless Capcom can somehow remake both aspects without destroying a huge part of a monsters standard Frontier nature that best defines what they are, having them in main line regardless if it's World or not would be dull and obscure if one crucial feature would end up missing. More importantly, for those like myself who have played and experienced Frontier, it wouldn't have the same energy. Chances are, they'll end up like Lavasioth and Hypnocatrice. Nerfed and gutted to their core just to make them work in a casual environment. The polar opposite of what Frontier is. Your best bet is to hope for some normal Frontier monsters included in main line. Because I don't see the chances of elder dragons being ported at all. Even if anything that's associated to Frontier monsters were ported to main line, odds are, people would bash it like crazy due to Frontier being one of the most over hated games in existence just for being different
I think they could've kept with either one color either for the normal dragon part but as a second color it changes into a special attack mode which would make it more harder and challenging for players to beat.
Extreme Style allows you to recover from recoil naturally if you input the roll button. Though this has it's limits since doing so will remove i frames. At 9:52 is one of those exact situations. The last hit from Eruzerion's fire orb attack reduced Narugarex's hp down to 1. If he recovered from this, the fireblight would end up killing him. Since the tumble roll animation leaves a good amount of invulnerability to prevent any additional hits taken by monsters attacks, he had to remain still and wait for one of his teammates to heal him with a life powder. The recovery mobility is extremely helpful, but can also lead to deadly risks if it's abused too much
