I have been trying the cx 200 out for a couple of weeks and I am going to be switching to it. Customized it with 8 inches of lead around at 3&9. Strung it at 51/49 with tour bite 16L. Didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do because my racquet of choice has been the aero 2019 with a little lead, but I can literally do anything I want with this racquet and it works. A great review. I love the feel of the CX200 line. The sleeper in the range is the 105 OS. More forgiving, with access to more power whilst remaining soft and flexible.
I bought the previous version of CX 200 Tour from a close out sale at TW for $100. I’d used the old Aerogel 4D 200 for years and loved it. Comparing the two, the Aerogel is heavier and hits a heavier ball while the CX Tour feels more plush and offers superior control. The specs of the CX Tour are listed at 311g. I added 5g of lead to the hoop and another 5g just above the grip. It feels excellent now. I can hit a heavy ball from the baseline, and it is great at net. The only downside is that I think it lacks pop on serve, for some reason. It’s my new main stick.
I enjoyed my CX200 before I moved it along. The 66 RA didn't really stack up to my Prestige's or PK's... I hear the CX400 is the dark horse - the best io the line. Sort of their version of 100 sq 18x19--ish

Hey man, I'm still rocking the old Dunlop 300G tour. Now looking into getting the CX200. Do you recommend going for it as a good successor or would you recommend something else? Cheers!
Any plans to try either version of the CX200 Tour? I'm similarly in love with this racquet recently but I can't figure out if I want to add weight (feels more sluggish than other racquets at similar static/SW/balance when weighted) or keep it minimally leaded.
I probably won't. I hit the 18x20 for a few minutes and wasn't interested enough to keep trying it. I'm finding myself more interested in trying frames that work right for my tennis and less interested in ones that are generally good racquets.
A couple of things (I guess a lot of things): 1. Can we know the music you're using here? 2. Have you looked into the CX 200 LS? Is it the same mold/string spacing as the regular CX 200? I feel like that one is even more deserving of being a platform racquet assuming all specs aside from static weight are identical. 3. Speaking of lighter versions of racquets, would you ever try the 16x19 version of the Whiteout? If so, do you think you'd like the 290-gram version to give you all the wiggle room you want to reach your target specs? 4. You said you looked up to the Pure Storm growing up. Because you used the AeroPro Drives previously, I need to strongly suggest you look into getting your hands on an old Pure Aero VS (295-gram 2016/2017 version). If you spec that up to the weight of a Pure Strike 97, for example, you have the most solid-feeling Babolat frame you can play with (meaning, it's not at all hollow and not as muted as other frames). It has the same beam as the Pure Storm in the hoop, but doesn't suffer from FHS. Mine has a 354 swingweight with 16-gauge RPM Blast, and that's nowhere near as ridiculous as it sounds with a twistweight of just around 12. You obviously don't need to go that crazy; mine has an unstrung weight of 324 grams, a 318 swingweight, and 314 mm balance. 5. Really hoping you could get a chance to try out the racquet from point No. 4. It is the best platform racket I've ever played with, but I would also like to hear some thoughts on what a suitable replacement would be for that racket. The new Pure Aero 98 ain't it, man. I'm wondering if a better alternative these days would be that Pure Strike 97, or one of the CX 200s. Sorry to bother with such a lengthy comment. I just need more converts to get that frame back in production (although Carlitos probably ruined that for everyone). But I need to move on, eventually. When that time comes, I'd like to know what other frames are out there to help me cope a little better.
1. The song at the beginning is called "Post Traumatic Love Disorder" by Rain Jewels. 2. No, I'm more interested in the base 400 or 200 OS than trying to add weight to a light version of a racquet that I already had to add 30 grams to for decent results. I can see how it would be appealing, but not for me 3. No. 290g only comes in 16x19 and doesnt have foam filling. I like my specs as they are now. 4. I almost bought one several times lol 5. Extreme Tour, expecially 360+, the PS97 won't do it for you.
@@TennCom Thank you so much for your time. I'll look into the 360+; the auxetic kinda had some FHS I wasn't into. Haha It's just so ugly, though. Hoping ebay RNG helps me find a "Nite version".
Much like the Wilson Ultra Pros, they only really open up when you beef them up with weight. IMO if you're buying those racquets it's because you're knowingly going to tinker with it
You and Jonas?! All jokes aside I might have to give this a shot even though I'm a 18x20 player and waiting for dunlop to produce something similar with that string pattern.
I never comment on videos on RUclips but you crack me up in this Mark Wahlberg from “The Other Guys” kind of way 😂 I appreciate the content man I enjoy all the details.
Thats interesting. I think only because you have a platform they gave you the right spec. For us mere consumers it’s going to be mediocre off the shelf racquets. This wouldn’t make me or any consumer want to buy anything from dunlop.
Yeah, yet another reason which makes it tough to recommend. Though I don't actually think the QC can be called "bad," they are just designed to come in much lighter than another other racquet on the market. It will be interesting to see if TW updates their numbers from just 1 sample;
No, I'm of the belief that any racquet can be the right racquet for any player. I like the PD for advanced play because of the higher stiffness, so you get less racquet deformation which is more consistent and predictable than something super soft. The only tricky thing is that the string pattern is so open so you might be snapping strings super fast.
i am super pissed at TW, all their weights are shown strung with "standard" string, as they say, meaning you have to subtract about 15 grams give or take from every spec they post. if you look at tw-europe, they have both strung and unstrung, and honestly, i would not even post strung weight, or at least tell us what string they use so that we know...
why are you pissed though? They are open with what they use, its cheap, throwaway 16g poly (which is why their numbers often seem overspec) and they provide more data on this stuff than anyone else.
Where is the point to keep this rubber gum if you use sticker over an overgrip?... Just useless static weight that can be used on some other spot to improve racquet specs.
@@TennCom A name is a name, regardless of where it travels. Yonex is not only a Japanese brand, it’s literally a shortening of the founder’s Japanese surname Yoneyama.
I can see how it would be appealing, but not for me
3. No. 290g only comes in 16x19 and doesnt have foam filling. I like my specs as they are now.
4. I almost bought one several times lol
IMO if you're buying those racquets it's because you're knowingly going to tinker with it
Where's the Percept on your rankings sheet??
Going to make a "Player's Racquets" with a bunch of heavier 98s, 97s, 95s
Suddenly all tubers switching to cx200 :)) must be some decent revenue on offer...
I heard earlier version caused some elbow problems to many...
who's switched to the CX200?
@@TennComthe tennis doctor and pro player Jenson Brooksby
Tennis nerd had a review claiming he might have found his racket...
That's a brilliant review.
Do you think Dunlop should make an 18x20 version?
Thanks! Yeah, I'd like to see like a CX200 Pro at 310g, 325SW, 18x20, 31.5cm BP
@@TennCom Sounds like perfect specs on paper.
Dunlop, I hope you read this
The Radical MP is missing in the Predictability Scale, but there are 2 TFight 305s
ty for the fix, ISO first, Rad 2nd
Try out the Prince ATS Tour 98 if you get a chance. Best 98 I've personally hit!
Non tour version?
You and Jonas?! All jokes aside I might have to give this a shot even though I'm a 18x20 player and waiting for dunlop to produce something similar with that string pattern.
Yeah I would have liked to see the 18x20 available in the 400T or the normal 200. Kinda weird that they only offer the option on the low-volume model
Are you hitting with the guy from Rackets & Runners?
ye
Can you compare to cx200 tour
I never comment on videos on RUclips but you crack me up in this Mark Wahlberg from “The Other Guys” kind of way 😂 I appreciate the content man I enjoy all the details.
I learned to play tennis so that I could make fun of the kids who play tennis
Is it as good as the T2000?
of course not
Thats interesting. I think only because you have a platform they gave you the right spec. For us mere consumers it’s going to be mediocre off the shelf racquets. This wouldn’t make me or any consumer want to buy anything from dunlop.
Yeah, yet another reason which makes it tough to recommend. Though I don't actually think the QC can be called "bad," they are just designed to come in much lighter than another other racquet on the market. It will be interesting to see if TW updates their numbers from just 1 sample;
Do you think the pure drive is too powerful and erratic for an advanced college player?
No, I'm of the belief that any racquet can be the right racquet for any player. I like the PD for advanced play because of the higher stiffness, so you get less racquet deformation which is more consistent and predictable than something super soft. The only tricky thing is that the string pattern is so open so you might be snapping strings super fast.
Do the CX 400 Tour please
eyeing a cx200ls
I have 3x babolat pure drive 2021 and swingweight is 300/309/309 strung... Should be close to 320....
Here we go again
When you said “so all that I hear” and faded to black I was expecting a massive “BWEH”
i am super pissed at TW, all their weights are shown strung with "standard" string, as they say, meaning you have to subtract about 15 grams give or take from every spec they post. if you look at tw-europe, they have both strung and unstrung, and honestly, i would not even post strung weight, or at least tell us what string they use so that we know...
why are you pissed though? They are open with what they use, its cheap, throwaway 16g poly (which is why their numbers often seem overspec) and they provide more data on this stuff than anyone else.
cx 400 tour please
Is this Mouratouglu's main racket? I think it might be.
I think I've mostly seen him use the SX300?
Sounds like a pro staff without any swingweight.
pretty fair assessment
LOL here we go again!!
When you get old enough you'll switch to white racquets
Current age: old enough... to party
400 tour
Where is the point to keep this rubber gum if you use sticker over an overgrip?... Just useless static weight that can be used on some other spot to improve racquet specs.
to hide the sticker lol. You are right though it could be consider dead weight.
No CX 200
pls work on your fh technique. you are still standig too near to the ball
im too uncoordinated to do any better lol... you should see me try to do other sports
blue rackets > red rackets
insane take... fire type all day baby
@@TennComAs a previous vcore user the ultra pro is so much sexier
@@LilGoo i mean now you are just talking about one the best looking racquets ever
@@LilGooone of the sexiest looking and feeling racquets out there. U got the 18x20 or 16x19 or both?
@@SY-it7xsI got the 16x19 the 18x20 is way to low powered, the launch angle would be way too low and underpowered in 18x20 imo
Everything u said makes me not want to go near it
FFS. It’s not spelled Yanex. It’s spelled Yonex. So pronounce it like it has an O instead of an A. Japanese vowels are simple-vowels (like Spanish).
In America, you pronounce things in American
@@TennCom A name is a name, regardless of where it travels. Yonex is not only a Japanese brand, it’s literally a shortening of the founder’s Japanese surname Yoneyama. Correctly prounouncing it Yoneyama means Rice Mountain, which honors that family’s origin. Saying it “Yaneyama,” like you did, means Roof Mountain. That’s a completely different word and family.
The Regna 98 made me love tennis again!
