I've been playing this game almost 7 years and watched a LOT of youtube videos on best buddies. This is the most concise and easy to follow one I've seen. You left off using routes, which doesnt bother me because I dont use them but some people I'm sure would like to know about it.
Yeah I know a lot of people don't really have access to routes or enjoy routes so I decided to leave that one out. But If I do recall correctly I did mention that walking 2 km with your buddy gets 4 excite points. But either way, thank you for the positive words :) always happy to try and help people learn more about the game without beating around the bush
I kind of ignored best buddies for a long time, but doing it now, but, not one at a time which this requires.. I do 21 buddies at a time, feed em, pat em, snap em and then I do 3 failed quick attacks at team leaders, then move to next one. Gives 6x x 21 = 126h a day, but takes 50 days for 21 mons.
That's insanely ambitious to do all that and a serious commitment so I applaud you for that. But I feel like you're 1 of very few people who go to that level of commitment
@@MOSTFLYPANDA This is exactly what me and my friends does as well. Only takes like a half an hour a day. Compared to how much time I spend playing the game it's not much. I also take a peak at what Pokemons can megaevolve for free that day and start up all the ones that haven't reached max level yet. One after the other. Except for the ones I know I will need that day or the next.

As someone who worked several months to get my Best Buddy badge platinum, I have a little addendum.
You mentioned the Battle Together heart can be obtained by fighting a leader or fighting a team rocket grunt.
It can also be obtained by using your buddy to battle a friend (whether you win or lose), or battle a gym of an opposing team (if one happens to be nearby), with your buddy in the party. It can also be gained by putting your buddy in a raid team and doing a raid, but that’s highly inefficient.
Next thing I want to add is, when battling a team rocket grunt, if you enter the team rocket battle with your buddy on the team and immediately leave, it counts as a battle, and you can do this 2 more times to get all 3 hearts. With fighting Team Leaders though (Blanche/Candela/Spark), you actually have to complete the battle, so what I’ve been doing is intentionally choosing 2 weak Pokémon to accompany my buddy, and lose on purpose by letting the battle time out. That’s where I basically multitask and do something else, to wait out the loss, as I find it effortless this way than actually fighting the team leader.
Sometimes I do a combination of all of these things for the Battle Together hearts , not knowing if each emotional point counts differently despite contributing to the same interaction and I’ve gotten surprised to see buddy in excited state.
For me I wanted to emphasize the leader battles because I feel like the majority or people who play don't have a gym where they live to be able to do the battles in a gym. I appreciate the added information though for those who possibly could do it that way. As for me though, like I mentioned above, I have no gyms anywhere near me. But also I did have 2 10 cp pokemon in Mt battle party, I just cut that portion of the video out there
When fighting team leaders Blanche, Candela and Spark you don't have to finish the battle at all. You just need to start the fight and can then immediately leave. A text will come up and tell you that you will not recieve any rewards but you will in fact recieve a heart for your buddy. Easy peasy.
@@erikaeriksson9840 I tested it out before, so unless things have changed, Niantic changed it so you have to complete the battle (win or lose).
Are you absolutely sure you get a buddy heart if you leave a Team Leader battle immediately? I want to make sure my information is not outdated.
I’d test it myself but my current buddy is on the verge of being excited.
The guide that I followed and from what I've seen says you have to finish the battle but I didn't test it and see if you could just back out so I could he wrong
@@MOSTFLYPANDAIt’s an easy test because it doesn’t involve being near a pokestop, gym, or doing a raid. I just can’t do it right now because I don’t want to lose my buddy progress . I’d like erikaeriksson9840 to try it though. 😊

There’s is a so much faster option. Pick 4 devices, feed a buddy 3 berries, at that moment: start a rocket battle with the other 3 devices, so it instantaneously gets 3 battle hearts. You can gain 6*20 hearts per day.
I’ve quit that, took too much effort. It’s boring. I’m amazed that there really was a developer who thought ‘yeah, let’s make that 300 hearts’.
I mean technically I think it's against tos to be logged into that many devices on one account plus I doubt 99% of people just have 4 phones laying around to do that on
Well, 2 phones/tablets make it quite a bit easier as well. But it just sucks, it’s boring. It’s the kind of gameplay that you only do because of the result, not because you actually like the game itself
@@scvanderhorst I actually like the game. I play it every day and walk around to my local Pokestops multiple times a day in rain, snow, whatever. It's a lot of fun catching them all!😁
