After discussion they agreed to review, they were thinking it has I-joist but they found open web truss joist. Now the y are telling web truss is expensive and strong but sound is expected. I find the sound very annoying, is there a way to reduce it. Builder tried multiple time and saying all is good and this cannot be perfect. Floor is little bouncy too. Please suggest

They can span a great distance but not stiff and quiet without additional beams.
truss is not deep enough for the span. or to much was asked of it.
Adding a beam or a wall is probably your only option.

I'd like to now the cost of LVL and Trusses with cost as well Roof Trusses and what company did you order from

Nice. I'm guessing those beams in the middle are to support point loads from the upper story. Some engineer had fun with that! Clear span is really nice though.

Ben, yep. There are a few walls that are in the space above and roof lines that bear on those walls also. We really didn’t want to have any posts in the garage that would limit our usage of the space

Can you use a web truss at 23' span without post support for a two story home?

Great work with longreach (timber web) floor trusses. How much maximum span of trusses?

floor trusses are very sensitive, be careful when you stock drywall trusses flex but don't return like LVL or tgi. I also sheared both sides of the floor trusses to eliminate bounce and level floors.

Thankyou. I’ll keep that in mind when we finally get to hanging drywall

Not sure what you meant, but I'm positive you didn't have 80 nails per truss bracket. And you were nuts (not in a good way) to do some of that alone.

Yep, shouldn’t have done it alone that’s for sure. You’re right, I went back and checked, it’s 60 nails per truss bracket. I believe we used the THA422

@@BuiltOnTheRock Even that's a crazy number of nails, but I can believe 30 per bracket.
