as someone who builds these every day (I'm a floor truss production supervisor at a Truss plant ), it's really cool to actually see them being installed
Nathen Wallis... I have question for you... if I am building my own truss I have a span of 36 feet but there is a wall at 20 feet so that it is broken into virtually two spans 16 and 20 is it ok to build my truss the full 36 ft 16 in h width with 16 on center spacing?
For custom home builders, you should have, a.reach forklift, or b. Rope, or . Forth man. Doesn't say much for company. I used to work as lead on three man crew, and we had a skytrak forklift and three framers besides myself, and I always carried rope.
is there an absolute standard distance between floor trusses or are there all kinds of variables. I have to know the size of the band joists so as to put a 2" foam board on it for insulation.
@@addisonescapedevice truss plates must be installed with a hydraulic press. I seriously doubt a plate is approved for field installation. This looks like a QC issue from the truss manufacturer.
@@MyFortressConstruction . hahaha that's so true. I had my house drywalled in a day and roofed in two days. John Smith told me he needs 2 months to do it

One of those trusses is missing a plate at the vertical web. LOL.
Must be a framed building in top. Only reason i can think of having a bc bearing floor truss on a cmu wall. That and the ribbon notches
Looks Good!
How long are those spans?
14 units

Interesting: a truss plate is missing in one of the verticals in the webbing @3:50
They do it to run HVAC ducting through it, they'll plan them out so they all are in a line

It’s no safety use the ladder on the last step
Sounds like Ed Orgeron running the crew.

From starting every web should be start from bottom chord instead top chord
Don’t throw drills in the dirt.... way to take care of the tools..
I see a lot of hurt backs with this crew. Why not hire a crane?
