Narrated Kathir ibn Qays:
Kathir ibn Qays said: I was sitting with AbudDarda' in the mosque of Damascus.
A man came to him and said: AbudDarda, I have come to you from the town of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for a tradition that I have heard you relate from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). I have come for no other purpose.
He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion

A Muslim brother walks past the Masjid while the call to prayer is being made and he doesn't enter it to pray. Another man is greeted with, "Assalamu alaykum" and he doesn't return the greeting. Subhan Allah what people thery are blessed form Allah even a singel thik which was observed by another even singel think proved by quran and sahih hadees unlike others so called 'blind taqleed' ulama.
Just to note the translation at 00:56 is misleading as it says "he wouldn't pray at night" whereas the sheikh actually said he didn't pray, i.e. the night he was visiting, rather than to suggest the imam never used to pray at night altogether. Allah knows best
It not he wouldn’t pray, but it should have been he didn’t pray, walahu a3lam
At 0:55 the translation is little misleading, “wouldn’t” should be “didn’t” as sheikh said " لم يقم يتهجد"

Authenticity of the Story of Imām Aḥmad’s Daughter observing Imām ash-Shāfi’ī during the Night
The story of Imām Aḥmad’s daughter observing Imām ash-Shāfi’ī when the latter was visiting them is a fabrication. The premise of the story is that when Imām ash-Shāfi’ī visited Imām Aḥmad, the daughter of Imām Aḥmad observed him during the visit and throughout the night, and then she relayed to her father saying:
I observed from him three shocking matters:
1. When food was presented to him, he ate a great amount.
2. When he entered his room, he did not pray during the night.
3. When he led us in the Fajr prayer, he did so without performing wuḍū’.
When Imām Aḥmad relayed her observations to Imām ash-Shāfi’ī, the latter replied:
1. He ate a great amount because he knew the food Imām Aḥmad served was ḥalāl, and the food of the generous is a source of cure; so, he did not eat to become full, but he ate to benefit from the healing.
2. When he entered his room, he did not get up for the night prayers because when he went to lay down, he was busied in thought with the Qur’ān and the sunnah - and this preoccupied him.
3. He did not perform wuḍū’ for the Fajr prayer because he did not sleep that night.
After ash-Shāfi’ī left, Imām Aḥmad said to his daughter, “What ash-Shāfi’ī did while sleeping is better than what I have done awake.”
Shaykh al-Ḥāyik commented on this saying (summarized):
First, how can it be proper that the daughter of Imām Aḥmad would observe Imām ash-Shāfi’ī throughout the night?!
Second, Imām Aḥmad was born in the year 164 AH, and Imām ash-Shāfi’ī died in the year 204 AH. Imām Aḥmad only married when he was in his forties, so he only married after Imām ash-Shāfi’ī had already passed away. Therefore, how could this story with his daughter have taken place if she was only born after his death (in addition to the fact that she was not even his first child)?
Third, some of the contemporary story tellers have even added to this that Imām ash-Shāfi’ī that night derived 70 benefits from the authentic ḥadīth, “O Abū ‘Umayr, what has the nuġayr (small bird or sparrow) done?” These benefits, which are in actuality 60, were not derived by Imām ash-Shāfi’ī, but by the Shāfi’ī scholar Abū al-’Abbās, Aḥmad ibn Abī Aḥmad aṭ-Ṭabarī, who died in the year 335 AH, as mentioned by Ibn Ḥajar in al-Fatḥ.

Nope, it happened in Imam ahmad's house since Imam shafi'i was his teacher and Imam Ahmad was the most beloved and extraordinary student of his. Both had massive respect for each other.
