Start going first it's easy with this deck, put when you going second.
Easy solve. Glue 2 copies of Evenly Matched to your hand in case they have the negate.
Which is why I'm running Gameciel, Nibiru, Evenly matched, lava golem, and gishki engine along with umi lock

I go first, brick out, scoop, try again. I miss Foolish Burial Goods at 3.
Most players underestimate Umi's grind game. 1 Zeus wipe is not usually enough unless one hits for lethal that turn.
Suprised how few XYZ decks I see in this event. Mostly Lab and Mikanko for whatever reason.

For my part I play purrely + ghostrick as engine.

Hi, is this different than the Umi control you have for the non-event a while ago? Which one is better?
@gooddreams8495 this is pretty much the same deck with just a couple of changes to make everything legal for the xyz cup. The other one is slightly better.
First if you have kiaryushin on the field w/ legendary ocean and sea stealth 2 you grab sea stealth trap always. I run a very specific deck of umi and have beaten lab, tear, snakeeyes fire kings, drk magician, etc.
And why did you banish at ogre's attack?
Because it was 3 in the morning and I was tired, haha 😄
In that 1st duel, i would also do the same but instead summoning jelly i get kraken instead for stopping battle phase, because the that big welcome in gy can out kairyu/gozen/tbco
But when i see the deck list....😅
@fajarwinmoney lol yea I kinda knew kraken wasn't in there before the end.
@fajarwinmoney personally, I find having time tearing morganite to be better than having the kraken, so I play the deck that way.
can you build horus stun deck for xyz cup?

Why use sea turtle? If you use another kaiju it blocks them from summoning another monster but with turtle can't they still summon one.
Yeah, that's a good point!
Sea turtle is searchable with ice barrier. So if you need it to out something you can actually pull it. Also sometimes Umi deck locks you into only being able to special summon water monsters and you wouldn't be able to Kaiju them with a non water one.
Umi Horus is Just better for this event
