I'll be honest I probably put a little more time into trying to understand the physics more so than most really want too. This game doesn't really like when you go for the absolute best parts and honestly they aren't even required. All these cars are almost bone stock. I'll start listing the parts I used on the cars for up coming videos so people that want to know how I'm pulling it off can use the settings. Also I appreciate the comments!!!~ Thanks for watching
@@Watchdog-vf8ug That's wild, I tried doing that with a couple cars when I got back into this. The cars turn into absolute soap box racers after like 400 plus horsepower on most cars imo.
You got SKILLS. I´ve played that game a lot till the CD passed out (even got a couple of videos in my channel) and I must say this is one game every car guy must try. Love your style sir, you only need a little bit of "touch" in the steering.
@@KaidoSamurai using hand brake is not bad at all, but the point system is really in disapoint with that XD. Tip: A little before of a corner start the drift with kansei and hold it with e brake, you will make a straight line drift, with this you'll aproach more the road to point n.n .
You are perhaps the first person I've seen to somehow be able to control the car during the drift events o.O The handling was always somewhat of a challenge for me, but that didn't stop me from beating it :) On a side note, it is very cool how many cameos, and different REAL life people and tuner shops you race against in this game like Smokey Nagata!
Yeah, I remember playing this game when I was younger it was quite frustrating to say the least. I believe I cheesed a lot of it by wall grinding and still getting points cause I found it challenging back then, physics wise. I'm looking forward to trying that mess of a mountain where DK is... that's going to be a challenge. I had no idea these people were actual real life drifters, after seeing some of the back stories its really cool.
@@KaidoSamurai Likewise! I first played this back when I was around 10 or so, I too used to wall ride or drift at high speeds into the wall to cheese points. The wangan bit was pretty neat too! It's pretty cool how you show the replay on the corner, and the rival's info too! I always found them interesting to read, and felt like it gave more character to your opponents. Happy to see there are others who still play :D Good luck with DK! Suicide mountain is a nightmare to drift in haha
@@wedakrishna1069 Yeah I found the S14 Kouki very stable at sliding as shown in the video. If anything I'm almost fighting it to angle which I like more than the car fighting me to straighten up and get back under control. Trying to give a broad spectrum of car drifts for the vids as I imagine its boring watching the same car.
Yeah, its not the best. Not sure why they thought it was good enough to use. Movie games are usually a quick cash grab anyways, it had potential to be better.
Yeah, I know that it was a touge "inspired" by Yabitsu, and I understand that their main goal was arcade fun and not to makevit realistic (this is not AC) but man this "sort of Yabitsu" kills my eyes just to see how wide the road is, which is compleately the opposite of the main feature of the real Yabitsu with the road that countinuosely narrows and opens into one and two lines very suddently thanks to the blind corners. Great video tho, my comment was just to attest the fact NFS' version an utterly fantasy inspiration.
Damn man look at those controling, those angles. Never thought someone would be this good at this game. I'm very impressed, keep it up
I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for watching!
i still can't understand how a person can be so good at driving in this game
my mans a legend fr fr

@@KaidoSamurai bruh all my 10 years of replaying this game i used to do max upgrades and deal with it

Thanks, think I got a little better in the newer videos, was using too much hand braking here. I agree this game was quite enjoyable for what is was.

I played this game a hundred times! You made it look easy on how to drift in drift battles all respect to you bro nice driving!💯

Just use starter car for DK. Levin is good enough for that...
I use S14 though.

Maaaan I love Tyler MqCuarrie's S2000, looks amazing.
Interesting that they chose Hot Version USA for this, I think all of these guys were on American Touge
There's a USA division of Hot Version?
I have played this game so much in my childhood but I have never seen this HUD.....btw dammn my guy...you really can control the car during drifts
Glad I could bring some memories. Yeah you had to go into the options to get it. Appreciate it👊
