This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 866 subs and > 500 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

Implementing the lessons I learned throughout the years of lots of trials and errors changed my life trajectory and learning that there’s a yin and yang in everything or proton and electron in an atom because opposites attract, which means a night won’t exist without a day because they’re codependent and that’s just the nature of life. I wouldn’t have appreciated the power of kindness if someone was not cruel to me. I wouldn’t have realized the importance of growth if I didn’t see myself stagnating. I wouldn’t have appreciated the importance of health if I didn’t get sick. I wouldn’t have realized the importance of real love if I haven’t witnessed my parents’ relationship slowly fall apart. I wouldn’t have appreciated the importance of mindful money consumption if I wasn’t broke. I wouldn’t have appreciated the growth of my RUclips channel if I didn’t start at 0.

Hi, I just read your comment so I checked out your channel and please don’t look at this as an insult or negativity but I can’t tell what your channel is about since you post about everything. I can’t tell what your next video is going to be about so I’m not motivated to subscribe. I have another channel that I started last year and it took me 7 months to get monetized. I focused on one Niche and made all my videos talking to a specific group of people instead of making videos for everyone. Who are you talking to, maybe once you decide that you will attract the right audience. I’m rebuilding this channel starting next month & again will implement same that strategy. Much Success
I wish i could have a successfull channel like you , but even if i dont have a huge audience like you , but youtube change my life and i was able to make consistently $5000 /month with my business with youtube with my 5000 subscribers. Dont give up guys, youtube is the right place to make a living and become your own boss

I take my youtube chanel seriously for over a year now, and I've already seen a small difference in the actions I've made. Like a year ago I gain 10$ per month, and now I've just reached 40$ per month. Is not huge, I know, I'm still an ant in this giant world, but it's still 4x more than a year ago ! I do it tiny step by tiny step as I'm also a mom of a toddler and a part time worker (and my videos are in french, very niche, the audience is difficult to reach ;) ). In 2024 I've decided to go a step further and to begin to take care of my script, SEO and intro. Anyway, I'v discovered your chanel like a week ago and I've already learned so much !! You keep me motivated and what you say is not what other youtubers (mostly man :p ) are saying. So thank you for all the good advices.
Brilliant: do not follow the same strategy your big examples use! It's so obvious, yet so easy to miss.... Copy/paste doesn't work... well, except if you do gaming content or AI generated content. RUclips will always push that somehow... It is indeed major if you make an impact on people's lives... so relate to that. We have some big fans, and it's so humbling, tbh how they look up to you and love everything you do. Unfortunately RUclips (the algorithm) doesn't yet see it, lol. But the audience loves what we do and how we share it on youtube... just wish we could reach more people, inspire more people (and yeah: make some bucks in the process so we could use that to up our quality!)

I REALLY needed to hear Tip 4. Thing is, I restarted a new hiking niche channel in September - @HardUpHiker, I'd basically done most of what you had said in your previous 4 weeks videos last year (great video btw) and it's going great, gear reviews - turns out talking about camping cookware is very popular, 8th video just suddenly blew up - has like 13k and now nearly 200 subs, which is a really big thing for me. So I decided to extend that and talk about more cooking relating stuff - but with a green/environment twist. Ouch. Some people are not happy, and not been as popular despite many title tweaks or thumbnails, it feels like that's my core 'true' audience and the people looking in from the bigger video aren't?...But it's a big part of me, eco issues go hand in hand with my hiking and life, I mean how can it not? I've gone ahead and made another video on those issues, doubling down somewhat - knowing I have other content that might be closer to what my traditional audience expect before and after it, but I needed to say this. It is important! Interestingly the bigger channels I follow are starting to talk about this stuff a little too, so I am hoping for a trickle-up effect, as they see me grow and push some of these rather more uncomfortable truths (greenwashing, basically, and that pushing new stuff all the time isn't good for the planet - oh YT prefers advert-friendly gear reviews by miles - do those as well, but I'd rather NOT just do that). I was scared of the nastiness (climate denial among hikers? Really?) I got, just a few ranty people but it freaked me out. I thought about stopping. I even changed the title and thumbnail and timmed off the clickbait-y intro (yes I know I should not have done that, I did put a lot of it back). So yes, thank you for saying that. And yes, at this moment, early in my journey, I do feel a little like 'why am I doing this?' sometimes, but I am learning so much, and loving it. Also I'm a podcaster - since 2004, one of the first in the UK and still going (Radio Clash!) - and I know about niche audiences being so loyal....it's very true the 1000 true fans thing. I needed someone to re-remind me though!
I agree with the point that people are more likely to form strong opinions about things that they either love or hate. As a content creator, it is important to take a stand on something, even if it means alienating some people. The potential rewards, such as creating passionate and engaging content and attracting a loyal following, outweigh the risks. When making the decision of whether or not to take a stand, consider your values, target audience, and unique perspective.
