The music in this is actually deeply rooted in traditional Balochi music. Eva B is from Karachi, Layari, where hip-hop is quite popular and has been for some time. Layari is also home to the 'Sheedi' community (indigenous black population of Pakistan). There are overlaps in song and dance worldwide because, well, the world's has been mixed up a lot over the centuries through 'conquests' and colonization. I've always felt Regatton has something 'desi' sounding about it in the same way you recognize something familiar in this traditionally rooted desi-pop song.

I am a pakistani American (my parents were born in Pakistan and immigrated here and I was born and raised here). Generally, South Asian immigrants do lean towards latin music because of its similarity to rhythems and beats to pakistani/indian music. People raised and live in pakistan do listen occasionally but might not as much because latin music is not as prevelant as it is in the USA
These singer artists are Baloch which is a nation basically from Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan too. They are singing this song in Balochi language.
Coke Studio is on a roll...they have been putting out bangers after bangers...while i do love the new "music video" style presentation...i genuinely do miss the live performance aspect of the songs this season...the live performance setup made the songs so much more better
The thing about the music industry here was there were no platforms for music for a while and pirated music was such a huge way to consume music there wasn't a way for artists to support their music until coke studio and nescafe basement, so people like eva B, kaifi wouldn't have a platform to perform. So the only music for a while we were hearing was from Bollywood and western music (for the majority), anything that was popping in US was usually popular here as well. So yea American rap and latin music is listened here as well
Just to let you know, they have a behind the scenes on each of these performances in this particular season of coke studio. It would be cool for you to see how they came up with the ideas regarding the production, music, artists and the sets etc, even if it's in your own personal time 😊
you guys are so energetic, great revieuw! i am a Pakistani living in Holland we do listen to latin and raggaton music. i love to listen to other cultural music.😃
Yeah people in pakistan hear to all kinds of music. I have music from many artists from differemt countries music such as arabian, spanish, latin, chinese, english, urdu, punjabi even some good russian songs. Music is all about the feels I dont need to understamd the language as long as its a good song my heart will know.
Oh yeah j balvin and bad bunny are fairly popular here I've listened to many songs such as hey mama from fast and furious or loco contigo thing is that we are still a developing country and so many people are not familiar with these singers or urban Latin music but those into music are familiar and as I said it's fairly popular
Yes we know about Maluma, J. Balvin, pretty much everyone you mentioned and for some reason i've always found a similarity between latin music and eastern music so maybe that's what you're getting
No guys we dont know about that.. Actually most of our music culture connects with India But in Coke Studio they use different kinds of instruments from all over the world to try something new
Coke studio lists down all the instruments in their caption. The first string instrument is a damboura/tamboura, also common in Balkan countries. I think it’s also called a Balochi banjo. The second is a Russian instrument balalaika
Yes here in India and Pakistan we know Latino and Reggaeton Music and we do listen to CNCO, Bad Bunny, Maluma, Becky G, Shakira featuring videos along with Daddy Yankee ❤️🥰

Guys .. u both r awesome and have brilliant observations.. yes we enjoy music from every part of the world in Pakistan.. Big audience for everyone i would say
Hello Umar, Please request them, along with your comments, to have another Pakistan Special (with several songs), like they did about 3 months ago. They will do it if they get a lot of requests !
Bro give reaction on mehram song coke studio you will be mesmerized
Coke Studio is on a roll...they have been putting out bangers after bangers...while i do love the new "music video" style presentation...i genuinely do miss the live performance aspect of the songs this season...the live performance setup made the songs so much more better
I would recommend Ye Dunya from coke studio current season. It is rap/rock sort of music hope you like it.
Loved your reaction awesome ❤️ keep Making more videos from coke studio
yes we pakistanis love latin music...... listening to DADDY YANKEE since childhood
Really intelligent review. Would love to listen to the artists you recommended
Great reaction guys! Please react to Mehram from Coke Studio Season 14. It's just pure genius
You should have had the captions on. The whole song is soo relatable
No guys we dont know about that.. Actually most of our music culture connects with India
But in Coke Studio they use different kinds of instruments from all over the world to try something new
Yes we do listen urban and cultural Latin music!! Was waiting for you guys to react
Ofc.. People here love Raggaeton.. Ozuna, Bad bunny, J Balvin and many other artists are extremly popular ❤❤🎧😍
Coke studio lists down all the instruments in their caption. The first string instrument is a damboura/tamboura, also common in Balkan countries. I think it’s also called a Balochi banjo. The second is a Russian instrument balalaika
